  1. From Carnival's website: "On embarkation day, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, energy drinks, juice, and milk), packaged in cans or cartons, may be brought on board and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12-ounces/354-ml each or less, per person."
  2. Ship's tap water is not the same as land-based tap water.
  3. Thank you so much for this! I really enjoyed it. So glad you had such a great cruise and made it home safe in that snowstorm!😀
  4. The medical supply provider of my DH's CPAP as well as his doctor (who has A LOT of experience with CPAPs as well as cruises) both told DH that ship's water is absolutely fine for use in his CPAP for a week. It doesn't damage it at all. It doesn't even leave any visible residue after a whole week. This may not be the case for all CPAPs, but it is what the "experts" told DH and it has worked just fine for him for years. No one was "advising someone to damage their machine". And there is a reason for the advice the poster gave: to be helpful. It might be worth it to other CPAP users to check into the possibility of using ship's water in their own devices. It saves a bit of trouble, not having to lug on or procure distilled water onboard.
  5. Sorry, I don't know. When I flew with it, I put it in my checked luggage.
  6. Yes, this is what I was thinking (hence my qualifiers about shade) before I came across some of my older tags - there are two different shades of red used on each sailing, bright red and dark red (maroon).
  7. This is bringing back memories! We went to Grand Cayman on our very first cruise in 2005, on Carnival Inspiration. We had our 3YO DD with us and I was several months pregnant with our now-almost-17YO DD (so long ago🙂). We went to Hell (we have goofy pictures with us in those same cutouts!), the Turtle Farm, and swimming with the stingrays. Did your tour driver also use the oft-repeated line of "And if you look close, you can see a bank over dere"? It's still a recurring family joke with us (done in our very bad imitation of a Cayman Island accent).🤪 Thanks for this. Loving it!
  8. You can request one from Room Service or from your Room Steward. No fee for this, but if ordering from Room Service a tip is expected. I used to carry my own travel size like this:
  9. Screw cap is totally fine. In fact, for the last few years that's all I bring (La Crema pinot noir).
  10. That grandbaby of yours is freakin' adorable!☺️
  11. Following. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I've sailed Pride more times than any other ship and have a soft spot in my heart for her (and LOVE Spirit Class in general). I'm looking forward to your pictures, to see her again and see all that has changed.🙂
  12. ^ This exactly. My DH has the same type of bag for his, straps it onto his carry-on, brings the extension cord in the CPAP bag, and uses the ship's tap water for it. He uses distilled water at home, but the ship's water is fine for a week.
  13. I dug up some of my old tags for you. So, in addition to: Deck 8, Starboard, AFT : Maroon (Dark Red) (Legend) 2023 I have: Deck 8, Starboard, AFT : Maroon (Dark Red) (Pride) 2013 Deck 4, Starboard, AFT : Dark Blue (Pride) 2014 Deck 8, Starboard, AFT : Maroon (Dark Red) (Pride) 2016 Deck 8, Starboard, AFT : Maroon (Dark Red) (Pride) 2017 Deck 7, Starboard, FWD : Red (Bright Red) (Pride) 2012 Deck 6, Starboard, FWD : Deep Green (Pride) 2011
  14. Deck 8, Starboard, AFT : Maroon (Red) (Legend) In case it matters: the red (maroon) of my tag location colour is a darker red than the red PRIORITY pentagon on it.
  15. A Google search returns this: These Carnival ships have a pool in the Serenity Area: Carnival Celebration. Carnival Legend. Carnival Miracle. Carnival Mardi Gras. Carnival Pride. Carnival Spirit. Carnival Splendor. Carnival Sunshine.
  16. This brings to mind Axl in "The Middle".🤣 Love that show! I have two girls, so I realize I have an entirely different situation.☺️ 🤣
  17. You can find the cutbacks in service and product all over the ship, unfortunately.🙁
  18. That's what we used to do for our girls when in OVs and Balconies, too☺️. I had forgotten all about that! They not only used it as a 'dressing room' they also used it as a 'play house'. Here they are (from DH's review) on Carnival Glory in 2011: The girls are dressed for dinner and are playing in the cabin while waiting for us to be ready. They make a little temporary playhouse out of the closet door and the bathroom door. All I can see is their feet under the doors, and all I can hear is their giggling and “character” voices. http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb479/Delta_Hotel/Glory%20Day%203/Nd3_1392.jpg
  19. We use hanging shower toiletry organizer bags. Mine looks like a water-friendly (mesh backed, drain holes, fast-drying) mini version of the hanging shoe organizer. I hang it (with its built-in hook) from the clothesline receptacle slot in the shower. My husband gets assigned one pocket in it, I get the others. This stays in the shower the whole cruise. DDs each have a different version, kinda like this: And they store theirs in their above-mentioned wall-mounted pocket organizers by their beds when not showering, or on one of the shelves by the mirror at the bathroom vanity. Speaking of which, we assign each member of the family one of those bathroom mirror shelves, to keep the vanity fairly clutter-free.
  20. Darn, I'm sorry you didn't get them back.🙁 Good luck finding the replacements!🙂 Ebay could be a possibility, too, if Tuesday Morning no longer has them.
  21. Huh, OK. Interesting way to use the word.😕
  22. Nice compensation! On our last cruise (5-Day Grand Turk and Amber Cove, the second leg of a 10-Day B2B) on Elation in January 2020, we missed both of our scheduled ports due to winds/currents making it "impossible" for us to dock (even though other ships were able to do so on each day at both ports). We received $50 (total, not per port) per person OBC, and had our shore excursions and port fees refunded. But we got no future cruise credit. I guess it's a sign of the post-COVID times? They're desperate to get people back on the ships now and weren't so much before?
