  1. Yep that one makes no difference RR Yeah thats what I,m looking for D but not seeing....The green bar with low deposits, testing, check in is at the top of the page when visiting website Mmm,interesting chris. My iPad is at least 7 years old if not more so that could well be the issue Like you mines is set for automatic updates but to be honest cant remember when there was last an update but its was a long time ago, also clicking on update it tells me its up to date edited: Just googled latest software for my iPad mini and it is up to date ios 12.5.6 so thats not my issue Yeah no issues on my android phone D but find the screen size and txt too small for my old eyes to search, book cruises.
  2. Interesting TJ and strange as up till a few weeks ago was working fine I,m having the problem on my apple ipad and using google for search engine.I,ll maybe try downloading GC and see how it goes Thanks
  3. Thanks RR I,m aware of all these links and are relevant to my second point but neither of these links give me the search facility to search or potentially book future cruises 🤔
  4. Wonder if someone can help me For weeks now when visiting the TUI cruise website I,m no longer seeing the search facility on main page eg Where from?Where to?,When? How Long? And Who,s going? Also when I click on the Menu or Hamburger 🍔I believe its called in techno speak it just jumps back to original page where it should show links to holidays, flights and where you log into accounts and bookings etc
  5. We were on that cruise so we haven,t been passing ships in the night after all
  6. Nice one E Your comparing Cunard with Marella 😁😉 Ever the sceptic but not convinced Marella would have been as accommodating as Cunard and thats only based on our experience of how Marella or should I say private medical team dealt with situ Anyhow its irrelevant now as chose not to take up the £40 additional cover Ps Will certainly contemplate taking out the additional cover for our cruise next year
  7. Dont waste your time ringing TUI as you,ve found out a)you cant get through b)If you do unlikely to get an answer to your query First port of call is here as you,ve more chance of getting the info you need Personally I,d do a bit of research on ports of call as many excursions/trips are doeable on your own but obviously thats dependant on what you want to do Many years cruising with Marella we have only done two organised excursion through TUI
  8. Hi P Pretty sure if you have not chosen/paid for selecting your seats you,ll be allocated seats at checkin
  9. Exactly this H Unless i,m missing something there no reason why somebody can take their test 2,3,or 4 days before flying but register it the day before(if negative obviously)🤔
  10. Similar to chris although our worldwide travel insurance is with Nationwide through our flex plus account Had a letter from Nationwide with policy number, name of insurance company and confirming cruise cover and nothing more. This was given a fleeting glimpse at the port My take on Marella insisting on “comprehensive”cruise cover is an attempt to direct customers to take out the policy they promote on their website.Comprehensive is a play on words for me We had what Nationwide call basic cruise cover which was more than enough. They do have an option to upgrade cruise cover at a cost of £40 which covers you for missed ports, confined to cabin etc,an option we have never taken up Regret it now as we would have been entitled to £600 from our cruise but no doubt there would have many hoops to jump through to get it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing
  11. Hi Fife, We ordered our test kits from chronomics via a link on Tui website/cruise hub.The link takes you Chronomics website Think we ordered ours something like 2 to 3 weeks before and were delivered 3 days before we were due to fly out Regarding lack of cabin stewards on Explorer.Reason could be there all on Discovery as we had 3 just for our cabin in July 😅 Have a good one Fife
  12. 🤣 Yeah, uplift in price for PE can be a bit steepish but we got it at a decent price, plus when your forking out thousands for a holiday paying a few sheckles more for PE doesn,t seem much
  13. Hi D Yes quarantined in a self isolation cabin and basically left to your own devices at end of your cruise eg coach transfer to airport,on the flight, and any transport to your home
  14. BJ We are dinky doo now and hope your other isnt feeling too bad and gets over it soon Watched a number of YouTube vids on Melbourne as we,re flying their for our American Cruise/Stay next year.As its a smallish airport although still expanding its very quick through security and luggage collection with friendly staff.TUI have there own dedicated area and lounge for Premium passengers. Also, apparently you collect your luggage before security We are flying on the Dreamliner and splashed out on Premium seats this time.Last time we had the extra legroom seats which were situated in a section at the back of the plane
  15. We were 11-00 am for 11-30 am pick up BJ but that was due to circumstances 😉
  16. G Not sure what you mean by different versions of the Four Tunes.Different version would be akin to a tribute act On all the cruises on Marella dont think I,ve ever witnessed a different version of a resident band. They tend to be contracted for a season if not longer eg 3 months,6 months but happy to be a corrected as I,m no expert on their contracts
  17. We were on Discovery 2 in July and resident band were the Four Tunes who were excellent as was the whole entertainment team and shows for the little time we were able to see them 😅 Who the the captain of the ship was, I haven,t a scooby
  18. On a previous cruise on the Dream we were docked adjacent to Las Ramblas but that was a number of years ago(4/5 years ?)Always thought if a cruise line was willing to pay top dollar they got the best berthing points Other times in Barcelona with Marella we,ve not been berthed adjacent to Las Ramblas but shuttle buses were available at a cost to take us there
  19. Similar system up here but we cant access records via app To see your records you will have to apply to the organisation that is responsible for them, for example: your GP practice manager your dental surgery manager the records manager at your hospital You don't need to give a reason for wanting to see your health records. When writing, you should say if you: want to just see your records or also have a copy want all or just part of your records would like to get your records in a format that meets your needs You may also need to fill in an application form and give proof of your identity. You will usually receive your records within 30 days of making an application and paying the admin fee if applicable.
  20. I may well be wrong D but not so sure thats the case in Scotland regards viewing records on NHS app.Pretty sure they,re set up differently.Think ours was set up by the same folk that run Marella/TUI website 😅.Besides ..our FM is too busy siphoning money from the budget to other things like a referendum
  21. End of the day theres no fail safe system for hols/cruising You can harbour the virus for up to something like 72 hrs before presenting any symptons and a positive test.We tested negative pre departure/flight day as per TUI condition and went down with the virus a few days into our cruise so every chance we had the virus at the airport,on the plane,on the transfer coach and onto the ship
  22. We must have the cheap version of the App up our way.Only vaccine status and thats it
  23. Agree RR regards testing beyond September Think other cruise lines dropping the testing is risky and not the way forward presently
