I understand the upgrade program, I have availed of it in the recent past, however, I’m not sure I understand Azamara. For a forthcoming cruise it is listed as sold out on every site I check, yet today Azamara email me to tempt me to upgrade. When I click the link there are two grades available to upgrade too. So is it a case of the ship being sold out and the upgrade offer a live in hope deal?

Maybe you are on the wrong forum. Surf and turf and chilled soups are so 1980’s. Oceania have an 88 year old consultant chef working for them, so might get them onboard their ships, as from previous experience a lot of their food is in a time warp. Azamara, and I know it’s not to everyone’s tastes, have been rolling out new menus exploring tastes and culinary adventures from around the world. Some of the newer dishes have a lot more spice than before, that suits me, but not everyone agrees.

I beg to differ on this point. We were in Argostoli in June this year whilst cruising on board Onward. Everything else you wrote summed up our experience of the day there.

Did you book direct with Az and let them arrange your flights or did a TA book flights for you? It’s defiantly worth clarifying. I have had poor experiences when using both and now book my own flights. I agree with you re the bus journey to Ravenna, no comfort break as advised, (thankfully not required). Check in for a Suite was straightforward and we were onboard with in fifteen minutes from arrival at Ravenna.
