  1. We used Courtney when we were in Falmouth in Jan 2012.

We were a group of 8 and had reserved with Courtney only a few days before.

We had Mellow as our driver and we had a wonderful day. Mellow took us sightseeing in Montego Bay and shop around for Blue Mountain coffee.

We will not hesitate to use Courtney/Mellow again if we go back.

  2. I just stayed pre cruise at the Crowne Plaza in Fort Lauderdale. I Inquired about the shuttle to Port Everglades. I was quoted $8pp plus tax. I decided to take a taxi as I was leaving earlier than the shuttle. For two people the taxi came to $5.90 without tip. It was less than a 10 min ride to the port.

Thanks for the info. We will stay there 2 nights before our Allure cruise in January so it is great to know.

Do you mind if I have a few questions?

Did you take the hotel shuttle from the airport?

Do we have to call them when we get to the airport ?

How did you like your stay?

Is there any restaurant close beside the pizza place?

    Thanks

  3. Sorry to jump in again with another question.

I have read somewhere on these posts that the only other problem is you might hear some noises when they drop the anchor.

We are looking at the Summit for a Southern Caribbean cruise with a stop every day.

Do you think that cabin 7002/7003 is a good choice for us? Will we hear the anchor every morning early since there a 6 stops in our 7 days cruise?

The last time we were in the front of the Summit on our Canada/New England cruise, I remember we hear some metallic noises and vibrations early at every port. Is that the anchor dropping?

I will love the size of this cabin but we are kind of late risers and this may be a deal breaker for us...

Thanks everyone for their pictures and advices.

  4. We just did the Royal Swim in Torotla (Jan 6th) and we booked directly on their website and got a better price than with Carnival (up to $60 US less)

The facilities are 5 minutes away from the pier. It is $5/person one way trip. There are plenty of taxis at the pier to take you there.

There are 3 programs offered. The Royal Swim is the most expensive but you get to actually swim with the dolphins (dorsal tow and foot push). You spend almost 45 -60 minutes in the water.

Bring some money with you if you want ot buy the pictures and the video. The pictures are very good and remember to bargain if you buy more than one. The package they offered varies according to how many pictures or video that you buy. The price per picture was $20 and the video $50 but we got 7 pictures and the video for $115 ( and $10 /extra pictures).

They are a little bit disorganised when you you check in. Nobody tell you where to go or what to do.

It seems that you hang around doing nothing until someone get you into the information "tent". But finallly when you get in the water, it goes very well.

We were a group of 6 who did the Royal swim and 2 who did the lesser price excursion and the 2 people who did not do the Swim regretted it.

Compared to other dolphin swim (eg Blue Laggoon or Atlantis) it is cheaper that other places and very easy to get to .

You'll have tons of fun and will not regret it.
