I would think that a colossal blunder for someone who lives in The Villages is the mistake of arriving at the Bob Evans on Sunday late and cannot find a parking place for their gold cart.

We were on the Dawn back in 2009 that had issues. We putted back to San Juan and they flew every one back in 2 days on chartered really big planes. The cruise line was very professional. My husband said they were L1011 or DC10.

You got 2 entrees each? So 4 entrees for 2 people? Are you sure that's not what you were being charged for?

On the Breakaway, there was some crazy old lady who wore the same crazy outfit EVERY SINGLE DAY, we saw her after customs getting into a cab with just her pocketbook,,,nothing else.
What makes you think she was a "crazy old lady". Pretty insulting if you did not speak to her. Maybe her luggage was lost. She might have been washing her clothes in her cabin. I think the crazy people are the ones who judge her, WOW, not very nice.

Going on a 4 day cruise on NCL sky Can someone tell me why the daily fee is $18.99 pp, but on the other ships they are only $13.99.

Nothing in the post below states "I received a full fare refund AND a future credit". The OP just states ...they gave me a nice future credit....which could mean the original fare + something for the inconvenience. The OP then states the issue is with how NCL is structuring her use of that credit.
But they did state that they were scheduled for the cruise that was cancelled because of the hurricanes. NCL gave those passengers full refund for the cancelled cruise and then a 50% of the fare they booked in a cruise credit in addition to the refund. You cannot expect a refund for something you did not pay for.

I didn't get the sense that the OP was blaming NCL for weather. Your trying to throw a red herring around but read the post again, the gripe is with NCLs handling of it.
I'd be pissed too....and I'd exact a refund from them. I'll spend MY money as I see fit.
If you read the original op post, you will see that they got refund on her/his cruise. What they are mad about is that they did not qualify for OBC from TA because the cruise they tried to book was reduced by a "free" cruise credit that NCL gave them in addition to their refund. I know that a TA we have used in the past only give OBC for full fare cruises.

I really loved the show (for lack of a better word) at the end of my cruise on Breakaway in January and was a bit sad when they didn't do it when I was on the Jade in April. I'm talking about when they do the song "You Are Norwegian Now". I have 2 questions. 1st, does anyone have the written lyrics for the song? There are a couple lines I can't figure out and would love to see the whole thing written down. 2nd, do they still do this show/song on the Star? I'm sailing on her in April 2018 and would love to see/hear it again (even though it means the end of the cruise so is not the best cruise moment by far)!! Thanks!! :D

I’m confused. Are you talking about suites that just are not In the haven courtyard?? If that is the case we stayed in the aft penthouse suite on the escape but it was still considered a haven room just not In the courtyard because of the aft location. We received everything the haven had to offer!
On the Jewel class ships, they have a Haven area that has cabins that are allowed in that area. Those cabins numbers start with a "H". They also have suite cabins not in that area and they start with "S" and cannot be in that area . Dawn class ships only have suites that start with "S" because they do not have a Haven area.

We were in an aft penthouse on the Jade in August last year and Omar would always seat us in the reserved section.
We were not the only non-haven suite guest that he denied this perk to. We spoke to a few others who did not even know what he did.

When we went in February the concierge Omar said it was only for haven. When we went to the theatre, there were only a few there. But he also showed his loyalty to the haven guest over other suites in a few other ways as well. We have always been able to sit in the suite section on all other cruises we have taken (9)

I found it when I clicked on "Lets get you upgraded" It was in tiny blue letters above what they were offering you. Hard to find.

Funny you asked this. The answer is yes according to the FAQ for the upgrade program. We were just looking at that.

I may be wrong, but I thought I read that if you win a upgrade bid you keep the perks you originally picked and do not get what is offered if you purchased that cabin. You would still get the perks for the suite.

Yes, exactly. the Suites used to include UDP for each night of cruise if there was no Haven Restaurant on ship.
The UDP was a perk for most cabin types and the 18% was included for all who had it. It was not a "suite Perk" but a promo. It was dining in speciality restaurant nightly. When it changed to the SDP (it is still a promo, not a suite perk) you had the same nights as the other cabin types. They just didn't charge the 18%. If you search "Suite Perks" you probably will not find it listed as a perk.

Thanksgiving 2009 on the Dawn the ship had major power failure. The Captain and Crew were wonderful. We were on our way home from St. Kitts. A long story so I will not bore you on details, but the most memorable night I have spent aboard a cruise ship was then. No air conditioning, so very hot. We slept on the loungers under the stars. Ship was going very slow, almost stopped. You could see so many stars and no sound except my husbands snoring. I laid there thinking about how little we are in this world.

Just because you were not aware of it doesn't make it not true I had multiple bookings with UBP/UDP for everybody in the room. This was under Kevin Sheehan. 2012/2013 booking dates.
My sister received an email which she still that was a survey that asked would you be willing to pay $899.00 for most of the items that are now free at sea perks. That email is dated 6/25/14.

You do received the same perks you did 10 years ago, but, up until approx June 6, 2017- If you booked a Suite on NCL , you received all the promotions and Beverage and Dining promos with the additional 18% gratuity included. Suites booked after June 6, 2017, are charged the additional 18% for each promotion in additional to usual fare and taxes.
Now, you can select which promos you want as the Beverage promo can add hundreds to final fare. Many non drinkers were not happy paying hundreds more just because the promo was included with Suite perks.
The point I am trying to make here is that suite perks have nothing to do with platinum or platinum plus perks. This thread started about latitudes. I think when posters respond to a thread, unless they stay on topic it causes a lot of confusion.
