That would depend on the cruise line you're using. RCI for example doesn't offer this service (Luggage Valet) any longer.

Years ago we had no choice and some may be in that situation as well. We would take a redeye LAX-FLL landing at 6:00am...Can it be done ...yes. Luckily now we have all the time we need, but I do understand those that don't.

Our most recent 6 cruises on RCI and I haven't been seeing these bands being used much any longer. Personally we're not fans of them at all.

Fly into FLL. Consider Hyatt Place (convention center) right next to the Harbor Shopping area with a Publix market , shops and restaurants a favorite is Duffy's. Quick easy cheap taxi (meter never flat rate) from FLL to the hotel and then taxi or hotel shuttle to PE. I believe hotel is charging $9.00pp to the port. When you return take taxi to get back to FLL. Try booking Hyatt Place with ValueTrips best rates. This is really an easy port to sail from and have done this many times. Enjoy !!

Thank you so much for your recent experience. We'll be departing Liberty on Saturday October 14th and have an 11:00am flight (UA changed recently as we had booked a noon flight) from EWR. We'll do self assist and will now opt for the private car service. Very much appreciate your tip. However any idea what the taxi was charging ?

Remember to keep the drapes closed as these cabins can be easily seen from the Promenade below.

I opt to get mine at the terminal from one of the porters (or at some ports they have a table set up and are handing them out) and easily just write our cabin # on them. Their very sturdy just like airline tags.

I too used to purchase them and cash them onboard. We also made a few land trips to Shanghai and would cash them at a bank once there.

It puts everyone involved in an awkward position.

Then this is a fairly recent change for the FLL to hotel shuttle.

We've never had a problem bringing on some "Holy Donuts" or bakery items 😋
