  1. Currently on Odyssey very very few Tuxedos or even jackets in evidence on Formal Nights and pretty much anything goes every night ...quite sad really A week ago on formal night a jacketless man was presented with a jacket for back of his chair by MDR MD ...it was treated with total disdain .....my OH insists on bringing and wearing Tux for Formal nights and yes i like to wear a really nice dress but did leave the sequins at home ! However if i packed for Seabourn again ..." oh dear i forgot your tux was still in wardrobe " would be my response to him as so very very few men are remotely in formal dress .....no one can claim they did not have luggage allowance on this Odyssey cruise because Luggage Fwd was included

  3. Understaffed or downright rudeness and discrimination is no excuse whatever ....just imagine that USA tourists were subjected to being jammed together for 3 hours at Heathrow ...no way will USA passengers put up with it San Fran and LA have also been known to treat cruise passengers extremely badly especially from outside USA ,,,all UK passports are internationally machine readable ...those machines were available in Vancouver but were denied to anyone not USA or Canadian
  4. 3 solid hours stuck in a non moving queue was the plight of all Non USA travellers wanting to board either RCL or Seabourn on 30th Sept Quite what game USA Immigration staff etc thought they were playing I have no idea ...the ancillary staff were unc operative and rude . USA and Canadians though were moving quite swiftly through the lines and able to use the machines yet despite machine readable passports , ESTA etc all those who were non USA or Canadian citizens were jammed together like cattle . Absolutely Disgraceful
  5. Currently on Odyssey .....Getting hot food in Dining Room has been a challenge but thanks to a brilliant Ukranian waiter and Oscar looks like we cracked it Totally agree with comments about TV and Entertainment etc
  6. Yup we have Tests booked Wed but still waiting for Seabourn to get their act together and organise transfer to Heathrow ......they are a pathetic shower hope to goodness the cruise is OK because the tours are equally non existant in places .
  7. Would survive extremely well on Courvousier or any other Brandy .....just the other spirits are the issue
  8. Yikes on 65 days they had better not its rudiculous
  9. Can anyone tell me if you can have Courvoisier or Remy Martin or Hennessy provided in room There's no Brandy at all on the list on Web and I can't touch any of the other Spirits
  10. Seabourn are up to their eyes with all the changes they have made to cruises and its clear they cant cope ....6 weeks to go and passengers still have no idea whats happening with flights etc etc for a 69 day cruise !!
  11. Some of us are still waiting to know what direct Business Class flights they are suggesting for Odysey 28th Sept This year .......its one delay and massive changes after another from Seabourn
  12. TUCHIK agree 100% and it sounds like USA are getting far better treated than UK ..we have a very good TA and there was a big row with SB when the itinery was changed and SB refused to allow cancel and refund ...We have insisted we get full Business Class for whole trip and it darn well better be BA or eqivalent def not Westjet ...its BA Syd to London ...yes we have spent many weeks in NZ have cousins and friends there , and have done a lot of Aus ...The only reason we are still contemplating going is its last time other half can get Insurance for more than 31 days ...once 80 in the UK Travel Insurance is restricted and we cant find anything to replace this cruise timescale wise ...Covid has caused so many rollovers next year is packed
  13. Mauzac i thought you lived in Canada ? Are you saying SB booked you on BA ...LHR to Vancouver ? They have been trying to fob us off with West Jet out of Gatwick yet and the stupid economy bits we are just 25 minutes from Heathrow and have set an ultimatum Will you be in the UK before the cruise ? Our TA was promised all would be sorted by tomorrow ....cancellation is still in pipeline together with a claim for extended trip insurance if this debacle is not sorted tomorrow Like you say tours etc not sorted all seems to be back of fag packet notes......their months grace ends tomorrow
  14. Well right now Seabourn have made such a total and utter hash up of flights out of UK they clearly should not be even trying to run a cruise line ....supposed to be Non stop Business Class London Heathrow to Vancouver ..9.45 hours .HA Ha Ha Latest booking is a Business flight Gatwick to Toronto( provide your own food if you have allergies ) which arrives well after its connecting Economy flight has already left Toronto to Calgary then a 4 hr layover before furthur Economy flight Calgary to Vancouver ....even if the connections would actually work that would be 14.5 hours ....unbelievable that they have not worked out Calgary plane leaves Toronto before London flight even arrives oh and add on a good 2 hr drive to Gatwick plus a 3 hr check in time ....20 plus hours of travel when there are direct Business Class flights Heathrow to Vancouver available and guess what the flight is supposed to be Non Stop Business because thats what was paid for !!! .......Right now Seabourn just dont get it at all ......just who do they think they are kidding ?
  15. Rather more to the point for all those on a knife edge of do we or dont we cancel our South Pacific messed up cruise which is now furthur in doubt thanks to Seabourn messing with flights too Exactly how would you compare Seabourn itself on board ,food etc etc with previous cruises
  16. Not content with screwing up all the ports of call now see despite paying for Business flights they have without notice now cancelled direct flights and dumped Business passengers into premium economy on 2 or 3 legs instead of one flight ...the backlash of that will be only one suitcase per person for a 69 day trip ....dont think so ..!!.wonder if they have changed hotel bookings too Do not appreciate that before this debacle blew up we had in June taken out extended trip insurance just a mere £400!!! they now refuse to cover or compensate for... we booked and paid for this cruise 18months ago ...it was dream of a lifetime that thanks now to age bar with travel insurance cannot be moved to another year and they have had use of the money too ..
  17. The Tand Cs for USA cruisers on all cruise lines versus UK or Europe or Aus/NZ are all very different and without doubt USA has rights way over the UK and hell of a lit mire than down under...totally unfair situation all round
  18. Update ....in our UK T and Cs it is clause 40 because Seabourn has made very significant changes to the cruise ...our brilliant TA was inundated with phone calls and Seabourn were soon corrected in their high handed assumption they could walk all over us ...hence we are sadly cancelling ....its very hard because from Xmas due to other half being 80 its not possible to get insurance cover for more than 31 day trips ...the pacific islands have been on my list for light years so i am devastated . I would though warn anyone still contemplating the changed itinery the ports of call in NZ do not readily give access to so much that is beauty of NZ and you really cannot appreciste such a beautiful country from cruise ports or the scope of ship excursions . We have no idea what we will do instead but feel pushed in a corner and disgusted that Seabourn have had our money for a year and not given a single thought to passenger feelings
  19. The insult that Seabourn are ignoring is clearly they have been planning this for weeks ir months and they ignore fact many have already done extensive tours on land of NZ and Aus There are now less ports of call Plus trying to evade clause 40
  20. They have replaced majority of the islands with in depth visit to Aus and NZ Fat lot of use if you have already been to both on land several times Not content with dramatically changing 50 % of the cruise they are blocking use of Section 40 in Ts and Cs
  21. Fletcher you may well be very correct however they should have thought of that when designing itinery They have also marketed the new NZ and Aus itinery before having the decency to advise those already booked and currently refusing to recognise that many passengers will already have done extensive tours on NZ and Aus internally on several occasions...plus not everyone has age or health on their side to defer to the 2023 or 2024 let alone commit that far ahead
  22. Seabourn is trying to wriggle out of clause 40 Given the cruise is 50% very very different to what was booked and paid for That is simply not on ....its already needed extended trip insurance at £400 The only itinery that does the islands is back end of next year when we already have other plans plus its more expensive too and theres the issue of Seabourn being sold off
  23. Never mind 32 days ...this was 69 days and we cant roll it to something else as once your 80 you cant get travel insurance for more than 31 days plus 2023 already full from rolled over pandemic trips Paid £400 for trip extention cover too
  24. Spent light years wanting to do all the islands on the original itinery and it was to be our last Now what do we get today a take it or put up with it NZ and Australia instead Aware that cruise lines have their problems but to change 50 % of a 69 day cruise out of all recognution and expect one to put up and shut up is simply not on Passengers also have their problems thanks to being unable to cruise for 2 years and at 80 Travel Insurance is a nightmare so rolling over to another cruise Just does not work ..........apparently our TA has been inundated with calls today all equally upset and annoyed Seabourne need to think again
