  1. Speak for yourself ....its a slippery slope firced by those who have never been taught any manners
  2. It seems that a stubborn minority who refuse to honour basic good manners and a dress code are forcing the issue on several lines ....sad sad sad
  3. Well we sure got one in our cabin last month
  4. You need to read the contract carefully ....they tried to claim the major changes to Grand Pacific cruise did not allow cancellation ....section 8 in USA contracts even after final payment and 40/42 on UK contracts
  5. Unfortunately before this vastly altered Grand Cruise started there were no tours to purchase even if we wanted ...for at least 3 weeks even on the cruise they were still listing and selling on Source tours that were part of the original cruise ....when tours were finally listed they were not complete ...hence we managed to get a copy of their" Tour Bible ." So we could book at the desk......lo and behold recently we discovered they had suddenly added another excursion in Melbourne 2nd Dec ,,,but it was today before we got a cancellation of the one we had boomed and theres no suitable replacement ....all they keep repeating is book a Private Tour at xxxxxxx price ...!!!
  6. Norfolk Island should never have even been put on itinerary since only about 1 in 20 attempts at landing succeed New Plymouth was sadly severe bad weather Shop stock of perfume etc almost non existant Yes did ask about crew welfare fund ,,,answer was NO Bottom line was the original Itinery was drastically changed and replacement itinerary must have been put together by a bunch of 18yr olds at Head Office with zero travel experience and then Destination services onboard left to attempt to pick up the pieces hence when the magic 17 passenger cut off was not achieved for a tour it was cancelled 36hours before hand with virtually no other viable choices left and only suggestion of Private Tours at between 1k and 2k !! Head Office in Seattle needs a shake up
  7. Passengers can only cancel tours with at least 48 hours notice but same does not hold true for Seabourn We carefully booked all tours at start of 65 day cruise using up a large non refundable OBC After the cancellation of 2 ports and now late in the day rolling cancellation of total of 7 tours at very short notice with no other tour that is remotely interesting or available Non refundable OBCs are a nightmare and since shops stock of anything remotely usefull is pretty much nill or wildly overpriced Extremely unamused at Seabourns attitude of use it or loose it ....since cruise finishes Dec5th
  8. Even if you stay onboard Cambodia still insist on extracting large fee for a visa
  9. Question is when did they actually close New Plymouth Port because we were only informed at 8am today ...extremely poor communication has been a feature from the start
  10. The crew on Odyssey are superb ...sadly the cruise is somewhat ill fated from the start with totally changed itinerary, not being able to get into Stewart Island was sad, now New Plymouth is off as port closed due bad weather and apparently no other available ports who knows what remaining days bring
  11. Yes in the ship and on tours ...Captain ordered it 3 days ago saying it was required by NZ
  12. Currently on Odyssey and as of yesterday in Gisborne we were ordered to wear masks inside and outside of the ship Funny but the driver on our Panoramic tour of Napier and out to Haverhill North etc dud not wear one
  13. Then someone needs to properly explain why utterly brilliant Crystal SENOIR waiters were only hired as ASSISTANTS by Seabourn ....downright insulting because they went home in Auckland and boy is there a huge differenece in service
  14. Section 8 in USA Section 40/42 in UK of your contract Major changes to Itnery and you have the right to cancel and full refund Seabourn tried to circumvent this with Grand Pacific Cruise but TAs put them straight
  15. Sailing out of Vancouver Cruise Port ...be prepared to stand in a queue for 3 hours at the behest of USA Border Agents ...they appear to enjoy alienating visitors
  16. Sadly not impressed by a Seabourn tour today at all
  17. I wish the Seabourn Source App would work well it cant even be loaded onto one of my tablets and there was ZERO WARNING that a smart phone is needed for tour tickets etc plus the need for WiFi to even operate same ...clearly Seabourn ignores the Older Crowd or those who do not Data Roam in far flung corners of the world ...in fact for several days now Internet has been extreneky hit and miss on the ship depending on satellite position even the Ships Bridge do not rely on it we were reliably informed during a bridge tour
  18. I have to admit to being totally amazed that an OB suite on Seabourn Odysssey offered you a better cruise than Owners Suite on Viming Sky We have yet to sail Viking thanks to Covid that booking is rolled to 2024 but their admin organisation was the pitts so hope the cruise is better Currently in an OB suite on Odyssey and for a lot of reasons very very unlikeky to ever sail Seabourn again .....
  19. Nope .....the one time we did Silver Wind the only outside deck was unusable by non smokers as 6 very rich Cigar Smokers ruled the roost and pursers etc did zilch
  20. Apparently they are Airfreighting it in from NZ not too sure when or which sea day
  21. Sadly on Odyssey they have zero Mint Jelly and zero Mint Sauce to go with the Lamb such is the chaos of the organisation of this entire cruise
  22. Itinery itinery itinery everytime but if it comes to a choice its Regent first 2nd 3rd and beyond Seriously in order for us its 1) Regent 2) Seabourn 3) Oceania 4) Azamara
