This is from the Azamara web site under faqs:

How does the Suite and Loyalty benefit combinability work?

    • When you stay in Veranda Plus or Suite categories, you have the option to combine both Internet and laundry benefits with those that the Veranda Plus and Suite categories offer, depending on your loyalty tier. For example, if an Explorer member that earns 60 minutes or 35% savings towards the Full Voyage Unlimited Package stays in a Veranda Plus category that offers 120 free Internet minutes or 25% savings towards the Full Voyage Unlimited Package, they can combine either the free Internet minutes or package redemption, to make a total of either 180 free minutes or 60% savings towards a Full Voyage Unlimited Package.
    • Laundry: If a member is at an Explorer tier or higher, and booked in a Veranda Plus or higher, they can combine the laundry benefits to receive two bags of laundry bags, per seven days.

Is the laundry benefit per suite or per member?

  2. I found some paperwork from our Athens to Mumbai 15 night Route of Frankincense cruise on Journey in 2012, which explains the drinks packages and how much they cost. It was our second cruise with Azamara when the ships were white and you had to pay for drinks. The cruise cost £1645.00 each for an V3 including flights and hotel in Athens pre cruise and all transfers.

Looked at my husbands account today and, at last, it’s now showing both upcoming cruises and the correct points and loyalty level, so now both accounts are correct - took them a while but they got there in the end.

We can report exactly the same, both cruises are showing and loyalty points and loyalty levels are correct 🥳

Why? Just flip the search criteria to latest departure and you would see the last cruise in the offer is the 9th November.

My point is that it comes up under “view offer”. Why does it matter which way I look at the cruise I have booked. It is misleading to have my cruise under this offer when it is dearer than it was when I booked it. I am happy with the price I paid.

There is no advantage in trying to book a drinks package before you get onboard.  Do it on the ship.  It's so easy.  Besides, by the time you cruise your circumstances might change and you don't want one.  For me it's also better because the bar staff on the ship get credit for selling drinks packages and I've made a friend right at the start!

So, better upgrading the drinks package at one of the bars? I thought I would have to do it at Guest  Services.

There used to be a link on Cruise Critic to use to register for the get together. I'm sure the registration list was sent to Azamara so that name badges could be printed on the ship.

The get together was NEVER held at the same time as sailaway.  It was normally on the first sea day. There were invitations sent to the cabin of everyone who had registered. It worked that way for years.

They used to take place around 5pm or 6pm on embarkation day. And senior offices would attend and we would have to introduce ourselves and there was nibbles and drinks. I seem to remember that badges were provided for you to put your name on.

We are newbies to Azamara and looking to book a cruise between Gran Canaria and Cape Town (or vice versa).  This looks to be a repositioning cruise, with some interesting stops in West Africa, but also a lot of sea days.  The price at the moment seems high for such a repositioning cruise (compared to other Azamara cruises), but I guess if it's a popular cruise, then the law of supply and demand comes into play.  For us, visiting Saint Helena would be a highlight, and there are not many cruise lines going there.

Has anyone done this cruise, and if so, what feedback do you have?

If this is November 2024 we’ll be sailing with you. I have to say that St Helena was a selling point but not the be all and end all. Also, after 12 years of sailing with Azamara, we finally get to board Quest! We enjoy the sea days and do many transatlantic crossings and Azamara provide plenty of activities to keep us entertained.

Just about every day I get a marketing email from Azamara (yes I know some people would love to get even one!) which is now feeling like “desperation”

Todays takes the biscuit it’s inviting me to book my shore excursions and carnival tickets for my upcoming South America cruise.
The good news, I do indeed have a cruise booked to South America, the bad news it’s an Antarctic cruise not over the period of carnival which does not call at Rio. Other than that……

How much more garbage output from this IT system do guests have to tolerate?

I got the same email and I have no cruises booked for South America 🤷‍♀️

I booked another cruise today, and now when I sign in to my account I can see both my upcoming cruises - before I couldn’t see any! Still haven’t got my loyalty level right though, but things do seem to be improving.

Yes, I can now see both the cruise I booked last year and the one I booked last week together on the new version of the website. Incorrect loyalty level and cruise nights, but we’re getting there 🤞

Hello, we are disembarking from Azamara Journey in Dubai and instead of pre-booking a taxi transfer we want to just get a taxi at the port.
the reason for this is because we have booked our hotel independently Azamara won’t arrange a transfer for us plus because we don’t know what time we leave the ship and how long it takes to complete customs we can’t pre-book a taxi as we don’t have our precise arrival time which all the ones I have looked at online require. I really don’t fancy paying £7 ( my daily roaming add on ) just to ring them with precise time the night before

does anyone have experience of trying to get a taxi at the port? Is there a taxi rank there?

The last time we were in Dubai we used Uber to and from the cruise terminal to the airport.

  11. My account is correct, loyalty level, points, existing booking details, OBC, etc. I’ve been checking it since the changeover. Here’s hoping it stays like that.🤞

  12. We used the thermal suite on Borealis in March. We paid £140 and that allowed my husband and I exclusive use for one hour each day of our cruise. So we went at 6pm (it had to be booked in advance) and used the jacuzzi, steam room and the heated beds plus we had a great view over the sea. There is a balcony you can sit out on but it was too cold for us to do that. It was very relaxing and set us up for the evening, especially if we’d had a busy day ashore.

  13. We visited the Crown Grill twice on our recent Regal cruise. Whilst the food was good, the service was poor. The servers had little time to explain the menu, they were rushing around and it was not an enjoyable ambience. Sabatini’s was far superior in service and the Symphony restaurant was excellent. I was so disappointed in the Crown Grill as they asked if each visit was for a special occasion and I told them it was for our birthdays. There was no mention of our birthdays at each visit. I think they were just too busy which I is a shame so I won’t be visiting there again.

  14. We got off the tender in the harbour, walked through walled part of the old town to the other side and the mini buses were waiting on the main road. It was extremely busy and the traffic hold ups were unbelievable but there were two large ships in the cruise terminal so I think we were lucky getting the tender into the old town.

  15. I have sailed once with Saga and have heard of the Britannia Club and seen it mentioned on this forum. Are you invited to join and is it a loyalty scheme? Are there points awarded and special events depending on the level you are? Thanks

Well as a fellow UK Silversea cruiser I must say that this review gives us Brits a bad name

If you applied the same supermarket price comparison to Resteraunt prices you would never go out as mark ups are notorious.Silversea offer a huge variety of wines and they are never backward in offering choices and refills.I would also like to know where he gets his price comparisons. Also the Paid for wines offer good value against UK retail prices and I always find it a bargain to bring the odd bottle back home

I understood the OP to mean that the wine he received was in the £8 price range in a supermarket, and not in the £20 + range, which is what he expects for a ultra luxury cruise line.

  17. Can anyone help?  I live 70 miles from the airport and, according to the Blacklane app, my journey will cost £270 each way. How much of that estimate does Silversea cover? Is it 50 miles, which I worked out to be about £192 and I pay £78? For one way? Thanks
