It should be showing on MySaga  (Under UK Travel Service). We received our luggage tags yesterday and the pickup time showed as between 9am and 9:30am in a private car. It was showing as a shared car on MySaga.

How are you getting down from Scotland?

We are travelling down using the car service the day before and staying in Dover overnight.

We have our pick up time for our June 2nd cruise. 9:15 for a 4 hour journey. Unfortunately this is a bank holiday and the traffic will probably be horrendous.

How do you get this information? Is it via MySaga or do they post it to you? We have had no information or tickets for this cruise.

We will be on Discovery from June 2nd so I had wondered whether or not Saga would do anything special. Maybe we’ll have a firework send off from Dover and maybe a special jubilee menu. Spam perhaps 😁😁😁

The tiggers will meet! We’re on the Spirit of Discovery as well. It will be our first Saga cruise. When we were arranging our transport I asked Saga if they would be doing anything special for the Jubilee but she wasn’t sure.

  4. So disappointed to hear this. We are finally getting a suite, and looked forward to using this area of the ship we have never been in. We never bought a pass as we felt it spoiled the exclusivity for those entitled to use it. 🤷‍♀️  Oh well.

Just checked the site to be sure we are covered for LHR next March and it would appear we are. With the suggestion the free limit is 52 miles, we've just scrapped in with a 50 mile journey door to T5. Happy days.

We are 70 miles to our nearest airport. I looked at the website but without logging on I couldn’t see how much we would have to pay for the additional 36 miles round trip. Does it tell you what the excess mileage rate on the website? Thanks

Just found an interesting picture from 2010 that shows the difference of deck 8 between Onward and the other Azamara ships. The Princess ship in the picture is Ocean Princess (R4) but this was the same for R1-R5, the Azamara ship is Quest (R7).

You can see that Quest was built with all standard balcony cabins on deck8 with 3 cabins per opening in the side of the ship, so there was a considerable amount of work done converting 3 balcony cabins to 2 CC suites. Onward as Ocean Princess has one opening per suite so in leaving the deck 8 layout as is there’s a lot less work to do, other than bringing them up to Azamara standard of course.

Elisabeth said in the video that Onward will have 52 continental suites rather than 36 that the other ships have.

  7. Lee Hetherington has put a video on the Azamara Reminiscing Facebook page of him and HD Elisabeth having a walk around the Onward showing the work being done. It looked like there was still a lot to be done but he confirmed that it would be ready for the inaugural cruise in May.

Excellent cruise - Was unsure what to expect as it was our first time on Fred.. Can't praise the service and staff enough..

Full illustrated report on the usual pages.. www.cruisetravelreviews.com

Or use this link to go straight to day 1 - https://www.cruisetravelreviews.com/2021/10/fred-olsen-borealis-oct-2021.html

Doing this cruise in February. We have sailed with Fred many times, our last cruise was December 2019 on Boudicca in the Indian Ocean. From your report it sounds like there are improved menus and more alternative dining options which we have booked on line. Thank you for your review. We are looking forward to cruising with Fred and trying out one of the newer ships.

@tiggertom you will no doubt have seen the options for lift & shift in post #44.

I saw your reason for being unable to lift & shift within those times in post #46.

Nothing to lose by approaching Azamara with your dilemma and trying to get your cancelled cruise moved out to 2024.

    Good luck!

Unfortunately Azamara would not allow a lift and shift to a cruise after March 2023 and if we took the 125% fcc we had to sail by April 2023. We have so many cruises backed up as we never cancelled a cruise,  just postponed it to a later date so now we have no “window” to sail until September 2023. We can’t be the only ones in this situation? Azamara have to realise that a year to rebook in this current climate is insufficient. For this first time we have no option but to take a refund.

We booked the 2/20/23 identical cruise on the Journey, using the lift and shift option. Now I have to re-do my post-cruise safari plans in Sabi Sabi and the airfare.

Unfortunately we can't Lift and Shift as we have another cruise in February 2023 for 80 days.

We just received the official email from Azamara telling us that the Pursuit's South Africa cruises from January 3 - March 4 have been cancelled. Various credit options are listed in the email.

We’ve not had that email yet. Can I ask what the credit options are? Thanks
