They were taken this morning - Wednesday 6th December Princess are booking entertainers for an inaugural launch event in Barcelona from 6th to 8th Feb just before the first passenger cruise so they seem to be confident all is on track

This has still to be confirmed. There is a media shipyard visit over the next couple of days so there is hopefully more information being released this week.

They also haven't announced all the specialty dining options yet for Sun Princess - still waiting on the deck 17 aft restaurant details. There is another media shipyard visit this week so this might be revealed.

The view is a certainly a strange one for anyone eating on deck 8 based on the mockup below - this is the top of the 3 floors for Horizons Dining Room I believe the lower decks of Horizons (7 and 6) should have those floor to ceiling windows below:

The one on deck 18 is a meant to be a shared pool for Sanctuary and the Suite guests who will have access to the Signature Sun deck. Not sure how it will all work - i.e who gets to use the loungers around the pool, and is it adults only or will the kids from the Suites all get to use it?

There also a complimentary Sanctuary menu and if you book an afternoon slot, then you get afternoon tea served to you.

@Wishing on a star I found a mockup which has shown there will be some kind of awning or roof covering most of the Sanctuary:

You raise an interesting point. While it certainly looks like the main part of Park19 is midship it does look like there is a possibility of the running track and roll glider may come around the aft end and overlook the Sanctuary. So you could have noise and people overlooking you as you dose on your lounger. Unless they have awnings added etc.

Neil Rose (current ED on Discovery Princess) will be moving to Sun Princess according to a post to IG.

Corinne has confirmed on IG that both she and Dan will be Cruise Directors on Sun Princess from February

Dan France posted a story with a picture of his laptop screen showing a guide to creating content on Sun Princess LED screens. Weird to see her working name also being used "Hull 6310". What do you think? Trivia in the Piazza? 😀

ha I was none the wiser as never cruised with Dan France before!. However we do know Dan Falconer and he was ED level so what you said makes sense lol

And note that these are all accessible Deluxe Balcony cabins. Having those elevators at the back makes it easier to have accessible cabins in this position unlike on most other Princess ships.

Corinne Steel (currently CD on Sky Princess) has told @Justpackingmybags that she will be moving to Sun Princess. There is also a social media post saying there will be two CDs on Sun Princess - Corinne and Dan France.

You will find that most of us are not being negative and indeed are as excited as you 😀. Just been around a while so know what concerns our fellow cruisers!

I tend to agree - I remember the excitement of the new with the Royal in 2013 (and jumping on one of her 2 day preview cruises) but then came the balcony size complaints, lack of prom deck, initial lack of mid-ship stairs, squeezing everyone into that TV Studio. Sphere class won't be for everyone but hopefully enough positives in the end.
