I believe the dining room gets more informal the higher you go and deck 8 is the most informal deck. That's all I have I'm afraid

Dining has FINALLY opened up on the app for Sun Princess - at least for the first two cruises! - The Catch by Rudi is $39 and a pop-up - Butchers Block is $49 and a pop-up - Kai Sushi is $39 - thought this was casual dining but apparently not on Sun! - Crown Grill is $39 - Sabatini's is $35 - we are in a Suite so odd we get to book the Horizon Dining Room decks. There is no Umai Teppanyaki so hope this will be ready for us!

They are really putting her through her paces on the Sea Trials This video doesn't show even half of it!

Corinne Steel has just arrived as part of the Inaugural Team on Sun Princess and mentioned Dan France is on his way as well as the 2 Entertainment Directors. I saw Duke Christopher mention he was also joining Sun Princess so assume he will be the other ED alongside Neil Rose.

We think it's Alfredo's, O'Malleys and Kai Sushi for casual dining on Sun Princess - see this post for possible menus.

That's the issue with the P&O design - just a standard balcony room except for the cabana space. This video is just a re-hash of Emma Cruises video which we discussed back in post #97 of this thread.

This was a Suite breakfast menu from a few years back to give you an idea, don't believe it has changed much

The sloping wall is probably the one in the bedroom but it doesn't restrict you and is the same in all the Premium Suites - the extra floorspace in the bedroom is a bonus in our opinion. However, Aloha is not our preferred deck for these because the overhang from the bridge makes the balcony feel a little claustrophobic.

In our experience, there is no separate line for check-in at Southampton terminals but they have announced that suite, elite and platinum can board earlier than other passengers.

No last minute changes for the most recent inaugurals on Princess. But then each ship after Royal Princess was almost a carbon copy. The Enchanted Princess and Discovery Princess builds was delayed by the pandemic and the inaugural dates changed but that was announced months in advance.

On our favourite Assistant Cruise Directors, Sarah Vanderplank, has announced that she will be heading out to join the Inaugural Team on Sun Princess after her current cruise on Coral Princess completes on 11th January.

There are NO dining reservations permitted on ANY Sun Princess cruise at the moment - not even the inaugural in 37 days. Hoping that will change soon and it will open up for future Sun Princess cruises as per the usual timings so keep an eye on the main Sun Princess thread.

Although we missed the introduction of the 360 dining experience on Discovery Princess by a few weeks. And that is by invitation for suite guests on Enchanted Princess and Discovery Princess (but can be booked now by non-suite guests for $149pp). Just to make it a little more confusing lol

In our experience, we had the same perks on Enchanted and Discovery Princess.

No complimentary access to the thermal suite on the newer Royal Class ships like Sky, but you do get the complimentary speciality dinner on embarkation night and access to the Concierge Lounge which doesn't exist on the older ships.
