Corinne has confirmed on IG that both she and Dan will be Cruise Directors on Sun Princess from February

Dan France posted a story with a picture of his laptop screen showing a guide to creating content on Sun Princess LED screens. Weird to see her working name also being used "Hull 6310". What do you think? Trivia in the Piazza? 😀

ha I was none the wiser as never cruised with Dan France before!. However we do know Dan Falconer and he was ED level so what you said makes sense lol

And note that these are all accessible Deluxe Balcony cabins. Having those elevators at the back makes it easier to have accessible cabins in this position unlike on most other Princess ships.

Corinne Steel (currently CD on Sky Princess) has told @Justpackingmybags that she will be moving to Sun Princess. There is also a social media post saying there will be two CDs on Sun Princess - Corinne and Dan France.

You will find that most of us are not being negative and indeed are as excited as you 😀. Just been around a while so know what concerns our fellow cruisers!

I tend to agree - I remember the excitement of the new with the Royal in 2013 (and jumping on one of her 2 day preview cruises) but then came the balcony size complaints, lack of prom deck, initial lack of mid-ship stairs, squeezing everyone into that TV Studio. Sphere class won't be for everyone but hopefully enough positives in the end.

Hey, missed you @snoozecrooze lol! On the balcony question - did you mean they the Sun balconies are deeper? It's hard to find a great comparison with the same angle but they do look a little deeper . But cruisemapper says Sun balconies are 3 metres squared compared to 4 on Royal Class. So does that mean they are narrower lengthwise? 1st pic - Sun, 2nd pic Royal Class

Only Island Princess and Coral Princess have the sea day lunchtime Alfredo's option in Sabatini's with the reduced menu from this Casual Dining post. Caribbean Princess does not have any form of Alfredo's. I believe this is the official Princess Dining Options flyer: dining-options.pdf

All the most recent ships on the Excellence Class platform appear to have mostly balcony cabins on their aft so Princess have really gone their own way here

Odd not to see balconies all along the back of a ship - such a strange design choice to have a series of staircases using up that prime space!

We've just gone past our final payment date for the Feb 8th inaugural and nothing showing for dining on the app yet. Remember we haven't got the full set of speciality dining venues yet - there is still a deck 17 aft restaurant that is 'coming soon' on the the deck plans that has to be announced.

Yes, going by train is a little awkward from Venice airport .. we had to get a shuttle bus from the airport to Venice Mestre station in order to pick up the train direct to Trieste. So would recommend a Princess cruise transfer it available. We did look into the Ryanair fights direct from Stansted to Trieste as the private transfer would be more reasonable but the flights aren't that regular.
