That is so clever hanging the curtains. This is great information I have never sailed this far forward so that will be me for us as well. With the single bathroom did you find this an issue? Or did the inside attached have their own? It is so hard getting any information. I will speak to the guys then let the TA find us what we would like. Was looking at two minis E723 is what I generally try to book but did have E731 & E729 last time we were on Ruby with friends. Like family all together when possible. So excited somebody had answers, thank you so much.

We are booked here for our Venezia cruise in two weeks. I will post how it was when we get back.

Can't find any information for a family suite on any Princess ship. Was looking at Ruby but not even anything on you tube. Has anybody sailed in these cabin on any Princess ship? Was checking to see if twin beds are OK for adults? We have traveled in 2 bedroom suites on NCL several times but would love family to experience Alaska on Princess. We also have a teenage grandson who would have the sofa bed. Thanks so much.

Not sure if we can get late check out. They told us to ask the week we plan to stay overnight. So if we don't get it will head to port about 15 minute walk if we do will head there later. Thanks for your reply.

So we have an 11:00 check out time but will ask to move that to a later time. We need to get our check in time this Thursday. If we request 11:30 but don't show up until 12:30-1:00 that would be ok? We don't want to be on to early with no cabin until 1:30. Thanks

Extended forecast has rain Aug.30-31 😢. Hope like New England this will change just wait a minute. Well I will be prepared so no worries just won't be able to do the Intrepid again. Think maybe we will look at booking hotel on the 8th. Just change train to the 9th. car service would be happy as we wouldn't be arriving during rush hour in Boston. Though he is very good with the traffic. Now who is still with us, I have the list of those who posted here but this has been a quiet board. Hope to see everybody in 17 days. Aged out what is that? Never heard of this so curious. I'm only 67 and sat last year didn't even get mind as if was a new courthouse. Would hate to have to go to Boston though.

Interesting post I want to thank the OP for starting the conversation. Personally your lungs are your own just don't break the rules and do it in my space. I avoid yours please avoid areas not designated for smoking, as for pot it's illegal on the ship. Surprised Carnival doesn't actively look for balcony smokers that's an easy 500.00 for them. Have only come across pot stench once in many years and that was on NCL in the Haven on the private sun deck so it doesn't matter what a person pays ignorant, entitlement crosses all lines. Oh and that was out of NYC before it was legal. Be safe people keep smoking off the balconies it can be a fire hazard. Enjoy your sailing whenever and wherever it may be you have earned your vacation.

I changed my jury duty last Oct. No excuse just rent the request on the computer received a new date same court for two months later. I've done this many times over the years without issue. Not my favorite way to spend a day, but it's ok they have been good about changes for me at least in Massachusetts. Don't wait to long and hope your not called but don't do it closer than a month they may give you a week later.

Happy sunny Sunday, well we are in the teens. Next week we get our check in time. Waiting to request late check out at the hotel that morning, though 11:00 may be fine. Worse case is we leave the bags there and go out for a few hours no Pont in adding to the lines if we get a later check in time, no rush to hang out waiting for our cabin after 1:30. No FTTF for this cruise and any sail twice before years ago so no loyalty points. Understand can't drop bags so will have a couple roll ones, big bag gets checked. Well 4 more days and I will have a better plan. Stay safe, Laura

Thanks, we are sailing for the ship could only get a balcony cabin. Hubby didn't want a cabin in Terraza on deck 5 I think was worried about the foot traffic. Saw great videos and wish I grabbed this six months ago, oh well. We have two must haves a sofa and a balcony I will be all set. We didn't book any specialty dining on this ship was waiting until it sailed on this coast for a while. We have sailed out of Manhattan twice before but on a different cruise line but didn't have any issues. Guess it's the ship not the terminal. Each trip is different so we shall have to wait and see. We have about four hours to get to the train, if we miss it will go later. We booked excursions, I changed what we started with not sure about the Amber Cove one its in the afternoon with the heat like to be back on the ship by 12-1:00. We shall see, Grand Turk we return by 10:30 good for me I'm a morning person. Looking forward to trying some new foods and some food we have had but prepared differently. Take care, Laura

Hello, We have gotten excellent information from you in the past. Question are you allowed to post the service you used? It's such a short trip not like getting to and from Brooklyn, never gave it a though. Thanks as always.

We sailed out of Boston in April. There are several restaurants and stores in the general area of South Station. However the whole area has different construction projects going all the time. This has been going on for years, but they do have signs for pedestrian walkways you need to stay alert though with the traffic. Once in the actual port area it's simple to find and several people walk this. Our adult sons walked to the bus city stop and back in under an hour but they didn't have luggage and weren't in a rush.

Oh is this why we didn't see this for Venezia? Was recommended I check thus out not sure of the cost, but it never showed in our booking as an option. We sail in three weeks and will just get on when we get on, being on early isn't important to us however dropping off the carry one would be a big plus.

Three more weeks, next week we log into our Carnival account and get our check in time. After that we will check out the Intrepid, not sure if we need to pre book tickets plus want to check the extended forecast for NYC. If it will be raining can't do much because I can't get my Inogen wet and can't cover it because the vents need to be kept open and clear. I can use an umbrella but I know how hard it is to walk a busy city street with this, will have no choice when we walk to the port but we shall see what it is like the 30th. & 31st. According to in laws who have travel Carnival for years not much has changed. They have taken their weed on all their Carnival cruises for many years. They told me when we were talking about the recent issues they would smoke on the top deck most nights and were not alone. This was before it became legal. Don't think they really take this seriously but they may put their foot down with fighting. No happy we may have to deal with pot stench but don't plan to change our plans. Each cruise is different, I plan to enjoy mine.

Welcome so good to have somebody who has sailed already on our roll call. The site is quiet but maybe so close it will pick up. Now with personal knowledge how was it getting on and off the ship? Did you go to the buffet waiting for your cabin or board later so could go put things away then head out? Looking forward to this ship, important to make good memories for hubby. Thank you we did this twice before when we sailed NCL. When I posted doing this was flamed big time then told it's not done since facial recognition. I will definitely look for a porter for this. Greatly appreciated your input.

I'm sorry I did search but can't find the answer to this question. What would be the best route back to the train station Moynihan Hall from Pier 88. Reading how difficult it is to get a taxi after our cruise on Carnival Venezia, we return Sept. 8th. which is a weekday. We plan to take a taxi from the train on Aug. 30th. to the hotel near the port. Just want a walking route if no taxi available after the cruise. We walked this from Time Square a few time but that was a while ago. Thank you for any information.
