  1. Back in November, I was able to get my drinks upgrade at 6.99 per day. Had to add the 20 percent grat, but still a good deal.
  2. Please give me a moment, friends...mourning the passing of my treasured Raspberry Pistachio Vacherin.
  3. Yep. There is cost and there is value. If there is higher cost and high value, that often wins out for me High cost and low value - nope. Similarly, low cost and low value won't work.
  4. Yes. That is all I can see as well. I really think it's a Celebrity Edge issue.
  5. I actually did this with a side load using an APKmirror program it works perfectly. No harm to my tablet in the least. I'm definitely not very tech savvy and it was easy for me to do. Took just a few minutes. Lesson learned--Do not delete this "old" app ever on the tablet.
  6. Yep. Tried that. I ended up having to side-load it.
  7. I guess mine is on "go" right now. LOL. Thanks.
  8. You know, it's funny. I was able to see this all a few months ago, and folks on the FB site whose cruises are in August say they can see all the menus. (I realize that those menus may or may not be accurate for the sailing.)
  9. Hi everyone. My cruise on the Edge is just a month away. The "Dining" section on the app takes me to the pages for the various dining venues. It shows the locations of each place, but there seems to be no link available for any of the menus. It has been this way for some time. I checked to see if I had the latest version of the app--I'm running 1.39.2, from 3 March. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, but this didn't help at all. It's the same on my husband's phone. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have a solution to this? I'm wondering is this is ship dependent. Thanks in advance.
  10. We were on the Equinox in December. The Royal suite was refreshed, but not in the blue/grey color scheme Edge class and and the other extensively refurbed ships, like the Summit. Still no USB ports anywhere, and a dearth of outlets. We had to have an extension cord from the desk to the nightstand taped down to the floor in the bedroom for my husband's CPAP.
  11. I've looked at lots of pictures and videos, but I just can't make out whether or not there is an outlet next to the bed. My husband has a CPAP that we need to plug in, and the Edge and the Apex have lots of outlets, making that super easy. Thanks for your help.
  12. We had the same problem on the Edge when she was new. It kept me up so many nights. We sailed on her more recently in the same cabin, and the problem seems to have been "fixed." Maybe these ships just need some time for all the parts to settle?
  13. Thanks for these wonderful photos. Very kind of you to post them. I agree that the desserts are the best part of the meal in Luminae--I love that Boulud Vacherin! But I also prefer Blu to Luminae in general. Their bread tray is excellent with those nice spreads, I love their drinks menu and the service is so welcoming.
  14. We will be travelling in a RS on the Equinox soon. Is it possible to get room service from Luminae or Blu for breakfast and/or dinner?
  15. Good morning, all. My husband and I will be cruising on the Equinox this December. He has recently had a total knee replacement and progress is going very, very slowly. He cannot do stairs at all, though I hope this improves by December. On the Edge class ships, the elevator goes all the way up to the Retreat sundeck. However, my read of the deck plan on the Equinox suggests that the Retreat Sundeck is on Deck 16, yet the elevator seems to go only as far as Deck 15. How do passengers who are mobility-challenged reach the sundeck on the Equinox in the absence of an elevator? Is there a lift that they can use Or is it just inaccessible? Thanks for your kind replies.
  16. The 5 day requirement was sufficient for my husband at the end of our cruise. There are different rules for quarantine prior to disembarking and for ending quarantine while still on the cruise. I ended up doing 10 days, since we were still on the ship and I tested positive on Day 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Had I been negative on Day 5, I would have been released. But my husband tested positive four days later than me. His 5 days was up on disembarkation day, so he was free to go. Had we been doing a B2B, he would have had to spend 5 more days in quarantine and I would be released to our own cabin with a requirement to mask Don't look for any of this to make sense. Lol
  17. Having quarantined due to Covid until the end of a recent cruise, I think that they will owe you a prorated refund for days spent in quarantine . Both my husband and I were still testing positive after quarantine on the ship. I don't think that hotels are being covered anymore, especially since the CDC recommends that 5 days is sufficient and you are free to fly home. After you are disembarked, that is pretty much the end of Celebrity’s involvement, except for the prorated refund, regardless of whether or not your symptoms worsen. Thanks for your conscientiousness about not flying if you are very ill (probability of that is unlikely) and I hope you feel 100 percent again soon.
  18. My husband will celebrate a birthday while aboard the Equinox. I really want to make his birthday very special this year I would like to arrange a little celebration with pre dinner cocktails and champagne in our Royal Suite, and to invite my sister and BIL (sailing in Aqua class) to join us. I would like a bottle of Perrier Jouet Brut to mark the occasion. I often read about such parties in the upper suites, but have no idea as to the specifics of arranging them or the costs involved. Do we pay extra for meals for our 2 guests? Are we limited to the room service or MDR menus? Do we buy the champagne separately? Any info about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  19. We stayed in 11109 for the Norway and the Ireland Iceland cruise. It was an excellent choice. Enjoy!
