I have just read the second but short review of the three day sailing, it was a surprise to read the comments regarding the tv which before leaving the ship had been re programmed with quite a lot of Tv programmes from the US. The shower cubicle doors are not glass by the way but clear hard plastic which we found far better than those sticky curtains.

papcx Well what do you know there are still some people out there in MSC land that still have some common sense and decency :)

People were lied to about the cruise by more than one MSC office, some people on these boards are in for a Nasty shock and when they get it do not expect anything but criticism from those you yourselves have ridiculed.

If you read what was actually posted the op said it was the First review of the repo cruise, the fact that it was not written to please the self indulgent on here clearly shows you only want good news.

The last time i looked this site was called "Cruise "Critic" not cruise kiss my a$$!

As opposed to Long and Fat as in the case of Oasis and Allure :)

TravelBerlin You can always ask MSC or the travel agent on your behalf to add to the booking that you do not wish to be moved or upgraded as we did if you are happy with what you have booked.

What you state is part of their booking conditions.

There were no subtitles on any programmes on the ship, i know i asked about it.

Some of you people have a damned cheek, you go on and all expenses paid junket for a few days and then come on here and telling not just me but others that we should be grateful for having our holiday cut short by sitting in a port when we should have been elsewhere just so the cruise line could have an advertising day while telling me the day in Miami was for my benefit!

I did not pay out my hard earned money for this cruise so that the cruise line could lie to me about the reason they wanted the ship in port a day early.

Honesty is something that clearly does not have a high priority for the customers.

As for how many people have posted so far you clearly have not taken into account that some traveled halfway around the world and may not yet be home while others are likely back at their work and will in time add their thoughts.

The percentage of people out of those onboard who will post or write a review will be very small simply due to the fact that the passengers were made up of people who will have never heard of or know about cruise critic.

It may even be likely that those on the first seven night sailing will post reviews before those on the transatlantic cruise,both will be significantly different i would expect but that remains to be seen.

Interesting that the lawyer for the claimants made the above statement, as for the guy who says 13 seconds made no difference well yes it did, the difference between a Damned Big hole and what may have been a small one!

Ok the collision may well have still taken place but with a less disastrous outcome.

Still find it odd that they are only after one person when others were there and were as much to blame despite the Captain having overall control.

Hi there .... those Balconies you mention are not actually Balconies on Deck 13! they are Juliet Balconies and the rooms are classed as Outsides! hope this helps, the Balconies on Deck 10 of the Aft are the biggest it seems.

We are doing 14 nights so works out about an extra $92 per person so it soon adds up. I always pay my tips and also tip the staff I deal with on a daily basis as an extra. Would it be frowned upon if I held back some of the statutory tips at the end of the cruise.

The Hotel charge as they call it is not mandatory though if you decide not to pay it i would leave it until near the end of the cruise rather than at the start to remove it!

Less than 9 weeks to go to our Divina cruise and there are still no excursions listed for three of the port stops on their UK website! from reading this thread i know their I.T department is the pits but come on honestly how difficult can it be ? :mad:

I still don't understand why The Gipper was brought into this. I don't recall him being a Captain of a capsized cruise ship.)

Uni .. just who do you think you are? the voice of cruise critic ? if other people have a different view to the one that you hold then they are at Liberty to do so and You will not stop them.

The media have little to say now on the Concordia apart from every now and again when a body is recovered, it is no longer current news.

In the UK we are allowed one change Free of charge regardless of if it is a price drop or change of cabin! anything after this and we have to pay £35/$50 per person for any other changes. This you have to pay even if it is before Final payment is due.
