GC gets my vote... great snorkeling from shore or off a boat... am moving this thread to our snorkeling and scuba board

block of cabins are held by travel agents and returned into inventory when they have to be released.. when booking a group the group dept., will hold cabins for you for 30 days before returning the unsold ones to inventory therefore available cabins do change on a daily basis

Always enjoyed getting the small pizza made to order.

Columbus Cove is our go to spot when at Labadee. Has everything close by.

is columbus cove relatively free of rocks when entering the water.... have a handicap person with us so looking for sandy bottom not rocky... thanks

beach snork' at Labadee is a DON'T BOTHER imo

 

I've been a snork' and SCUBA guy for 40 years and I don't even take my mask off the ship at lab'dee

same here..... however labadee is now offerring snorkel excursion.... so we are looking for reports on that..otherwise don't even bother from shore

We thought the food in ck was excellent and an enjoyable experience. We did try 150 park and found the food and atmosphere to be enjoyable but did it on a bogo and used the other for wonderland. Which is very different. We had no problem getting reservations

We find booking the specialty restaurants on board a better deal If they are not getting enough bookings they will offer discounts like bogo so we wait.

Just an FYI - Are you aware that X and RC are linked so that your status is the same on both? If you book X you will also get closer to D+ on RC.

No. You need to book rc to raise status on rc. As you need to book x to raise status on x

Once you are diamond on rc. You will be elite on x. That’s where it ends. If you are diamond plus on rc you will not be elite plus on x. Only elite

We are on the Eclipse at this very moment, as we have been for the past five years at this same time of year. The service has been excellent but I am very disappointed in Luminae. The food offerings have been generally mundane and unimaginative. I have taken to ordering at least some dishes from the main menu which makes me wonder why I am paying for a suite. Also, the poor waiters in Luminae are hustling so much that one of them actually is breaking out into a trot to provide service. He is the nicest man but he seriously overworked. My wife feels very sympathetic for him, as he is performing every possible dining room function short of washing the dishes, and maybe he's doing that, too. Celebrity is lucky to have employees like him and others like him.

we just returned from the dec. 10 cruise and found the food in the dining room to be very good .we usually do specialty dining at least 3 times but we felt no need for it this cruise... we had select dining and they reserved our table for us .. we had excellent service with Samson and Gabriel.. both experienced and attentive.... we found the staff to be constantly among the passengers and the dance troupe to be very talented...if you saw the liars club it was the best one i have seen on any of the cruise ships... sue, guiseppe and the guest comic were an incredible combo... talking to Sue later in the cruise she said she also felt it had been the best one she had participated in...there are so many elite and elite plus the sky lounge was packed every nite...

has anyone used this package from AT&T for Celebrity?... it's 60.00 per month for 100 texts (outgoing, incoming is unlimitedt ) and 50 minutes of phone calls? this is for using on the ship only, not on the islands.. it's for use on 'Celebrity ships

on the next week's dec. 10 cruise and enjoying the review... also question where the elite cocktail hour is held.. if the sky lounge is being used for the :Mediums: or are they giving 3 drink vouchers? thanks for checking..

do they cook the burgers to order?... or are they laying around in the serving pan thanks

Elite do not have Michael's Club. Drinks with either be 5-7 in Sky Lounge or you will have 3 drink vouchers per person per night

question for elite cruisers on celebrity eclipse

sailing dec. 10 as elite .. question is what are the elite perks?...do you have admission to michaels club or is there another venue for the "happy Hour" drinks and apps..?..... Have sailed celebrity ships before but not the eclipse..

we plan to just show up also... not sending a 100 deposit for 4 of us for pay as you go... in case we wake up and its not beach weather
