  1. When I filled out my price protection form, there was a spot to select yes or no to "include fares where carnival picks your room". I selected no because I did not want a guarantee although it was lower than the rate I was trying to price match to. If you do the form and select that option, carnival shouldn't even look at guarantee rates to match you as. However, you can try to call back to speak to a different rep. I have heard this sometimes helps. Good luck and I hope you get your credit!

  2. If they would only "enhance" the package to do a "staggered" liquor package like they've done in the ports with check-ins, I would consider cheers. I don't drink heavily enough to make the package as it is worth it. Set a $20 package with 5 alcoholic drinks a day... or better yet a total of 5 per day times the number of days you are on your cruise.

Example: $20 per day for a 5 day cruise would give you a total of 25 drinks to consume for the cruise... only 3 drinks on a port day? Have 7 on a sea day! Have all 25 drinks your first three days? Pay for the rest of the drinks you want the last two days... Almost too simple to make sense, right?

  3. In Nassau, we did blue lagoon island dolphin encounter. It was AWESOME and not as expensive as Carnival's version. We lucked up and were the only people in port that day. Only about 20 or so people went to the island. Our group of 6 were the only ones with that dolphin encounter and the trainers let us spend a lot of time with the dolphins. Next time I go back to Nassau, I will go back to Blue Lagoon Island for their beach day excursion.

  4. Now it's called the Sail Away package and it has a different bag and towels. I hear that if something sells out you're either a) out of luck or b) get a replacement. I wonder since Carnival is calling this package another name if we get this one? We sail in 37 days.

Just got off of the Fascination on Wednesday, the deluxe tote package I had ordered was there waiting for me, just as it was described when I bought it. [emoji4]

  5. I've boarded today and have great news....Fascination has the new WiFi packages. :D

    For the 4 day cruise:

    Social: $15

    Value: $35

    Premium: $60

Hope you are enjoying your cruise. Do you mind giving us details about the program when you return? How well it worked, etc?

  6. [quote name='kimnicki']Has anyone sailed since she was dry docked? I'm anxious to hear of any changes. We are sailing May 9, 2015.

    Thanks!

Hi kimnicki! Come on over to our roll call! 27 days left!
  7. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up who is following along with my review. I live in Kirkland, Illinois. Our neighboring town of Fairdale was destroyed by a tornado tonight. 90% of the town is gone. I'm sure many of you may have seen coverage on the news tonight. It hit about 7:00 pm. We are a small, right knit community so this is devastating.

It may be a few days before I am able to post any more photos. Please pray my friends, neighbors, and community [emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120]

    Will be praying.

  8. As I mentioned before in my review we had a huge roll call so we wanted to have a Meet and Greet. One person in our roll call had contacted Carnival about a week before the cruise with a final head count. She asked Carnival for a lounge onboard and she asked for a certain date and time. We asked Carnival for our meet and greet to be on Monday (our first day at sea) for 2:00 pm. They honored our request and we were put in the Liquid Lounge nightclub. Carnival posted it in the Fun Times

Thinking about trying this for my upcoming cruise... how much is the cost of a private party like this? Does carnival charge per person at the door to the lounge or does it have to be prepaid? Thanks in advance!
