  1. We have had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Mario, very down to earth and friendly person. Many times we have seen how people will just walk up to him and ask him for a photo...he really is a great guy.

I love seeing him in the RC commercials and promo ads... I think he is a great ambassador for RC.

He has it figured out....to live on a ship all year round.....awesome!

Cheers to the No.1 cruiser on RC!

Nos vemos en Septiembre Mario! :D

  2. My wife and I are big fans of the lounges both CL and DL. We have made some great friends and had amazing conversations with some amazing people. I can honestly say its a deal breaker for us. We love to cruise and do so on a number of lines but its never like RC....and it all boils down to the CL/DL. I know it might sound crazy but being crammed into a room full of people makes people have to socialize and a nice full CL makes for a very interesting cruise. We love to sit with new people but that first day of the cruise when you go in just after the life boat drill and see people that you have cruised with in the past is totally awesome....

We are always asking ourselves who we will find that we've sailed with in the past. Many times we are the youngest of the bunch...but you know age is only a number...I've sailed with people much older than me that could out walk/run me anytime....

There seems to be a lot of animosity towards what other people get...who cares....the question is are you happy with what you get? I know we are!

I like this new initiative because I always hear about people that really don't like to socialize and would rather have a quite drink or a drink with there friends that have no access to CL/DL...problem solved.

  3. If you uncork the bottle in your room and just bring it into the MDR no one will say anything. Its like when you order a bottle and take the remaining with you at the end of your dinner. I have never heard of anyone being charged the corking fee. We have even taken wine to the Windjammer and we just ask for a couple of wine glasses and have never had any issues.

  4. My wife and I did 7 B2B's on the Navigator of the Seas....although nothing specifically was offered by RC the ship was very nice to us, we ate at the Capt. table 4 out of the 7 and were asked to the bridge for a private sail out from Labadee. They did a few other nice things too.

The best part was getting to become quite friendly with the crew and getting to know them better...we still stay in touch with a few of them.

I just saw an offer the RC has for B2B...its the first time I've seen anything like it....got an email the other day offering $50 per day on transatlantic cruises and this was at the bottom:

    CONSECUTIVE CRUISES

Enjoy exceptional value from $65 per person per night* when you add a Caribbean or European sailing to your Ocean Voyage.

Does anyone have anymore info about this?

    Thanks,

    Rob and Ana

  5. I'm on the transatlantic in September from FLL to BCN but still cant book entertainment...yesterday chatted with RC Online and she told me booking was from 90-60 days before...I told her we were 72 days before and still nothing...she then said it will be 60 days then....

Anyone else on this sailing and able to book the entertainment?

    Thanks,

    Rob

  6. It makes no sense to say they will close the DL lounges....RC has been spending millions to put them in all the ships and set them up with areas for breakfast/canapés , a $10,000 coffee machine. (the new ones make great lattes...) and a DL concierge... what I think they want to avoid is over flow areas....this may be the solution.

On our last 4, 7 day cruises both CL and DL lounges were not full at all...in fact they were quite empty.
  7. We were speaking with the Loyalty/Future cruise sales person onboard and we were told that now prices are now controlled by an algorithm that checks cabins vs sales etc. and that prices can change within minutes... both up and down. I booked a D1 cat. for just under $500pp onboard and on my way back to the cabin I stopped at the Internet Café onboard and checked the price and I saw JS on the same sailing for $720pp....ran back to see the Loyalty and it was over $2000 only 10 min. after...
What is a bit worrying to me is the increase in the Taxes/Fees, I feel that they have been increasing too much...

Lets see what happens July 15th

    ;)
  8. We just got off the Radiance and in the CL lounge the barman (Rosario) was amazing, if he could make you your request with what he had he did. In the past we have be very lucky with our CL/DL bar staff, sometimes it helps to tip $5 on the first night. (Martini's, Lemon Drop's, Bloody Mary's...)

I did notice a difference in service from the DL and CL but I think its because the DL on this ship uses the bar in the Viking Crown/Stardust and the 2 staff also served normal paying customers.

Does anyone know how long they have been testing this new perk out?

Kind of cool that you can grab a pre-drink on your way up to the lounge...hahaha

See you guys on the Oasis crossing in Sept. !! :)
