  1. see what premier would charge you. Normally its such a short distance uber works but if you need 4 or 5 larger ubers one shuttle is likelier easier and probably about the same cost.
  2. sounds like you used Seattle express which operates a shuttle
  3. downtown zone is not part of pier 91. There has never been a 'flat rate' from the pier, however there is one large flat rate taxi firm, which is also the exclusive cab at Seatac. flatrateforhire.com or eastsideforhire.com both the same company though. Those websites don't work and when I google flat rate taxis a lot of small companies have 'taken over' those sites. Since the 'flat rate towncars' went out of business during covid you basiclly have a ton of guys with one car advertising as 'flat rate' but they aren't really a bargain. Seattle regulates cabs and there has NEVER been an 'official' flat rate from Pier 91. From Pier 66 yes as that is part of the downtown hotel zone. I suggest you book with a larger limo firm or use a shuttle such as seattleexpress.com https://a-alimo.com/ is a larger limo firm with reasonable rates which are posted. I'd be a bit careful of using some of the one guy and one car type operations.
  4. The old Macys' garage close to the Pike Place Mkt has National, Avis and Alamo and Enterprise. Very easy. Pier 91 used to use National and they would shuttle you back to their office but check this website https://www.portseattle.org/maritime/cruise
  5. I live in Seattle and am in the tour business. Some people keep mentioning this mysterious 'flat rate from the pier'. While there are some flat rate cabs you must prearrange them. Same with towncars legally you must call. During the pandemic the towncar provider authorized by the Port of Seattle went out of business so that left a big void plus Shuttle Express went out of business. Their website got bought by a limo firm and the rates tripled. There are a few very reliable larger towncar providers. https://a-alimo.com/ is one and their rates are listed on the website.
  6. I cruised a few wks ago on Princess from LA and princess staff asked for my covid paperwork. It was a seperate section before i could check in.
  7. Seattle has a flat rate from downtown hotel zone to airport of $40. There is no flat rate from pier 91 unless you book with one of the flat rate non metered cabs mentioned above. You might have encountered some gypsy cab drivers offering a flat rate but those are not always legit taxis. Uber rates have gone up substantially during covid due to a shortage of drivers and Seattle Guaranteeing uber and lyft drivers a min wage of $17 per hr making sometimes a cab more competitive.
  8. The Amtrak bus is still the best and fastest way to get to Vancouver vs Quickshuttle. If Quickshuttle offers express svc from the vanc dock then do that but otherwise the timeing of the Amtrak bus to and from Vanc and Sea actually makes it an ok option. I'm hoping things will change and negotiations continue as Amtrak gets funds from WA and OR and officials aren't happy.
  9. look at cpair.com for shuttle or seattleexpress.com another choice would be https://a-alimo.com/ hope this helps
  10. light rail isn't going anywhere near pier 91 and as mentioned taking a bus there isn't a easy procedure. Its always interesting when someone is booking a nice vacation but wants to spend the absolute minimum hauling luggage on a city bus. Going to downtown is much easier and much more straight forward.
  11. just so you know the train normally left either at 745 am or so and the late train left at 5pm or so. The Amtrak bus is still the quickest unless Quick Shuttle which leaves from the dock has an express. Their normal runs are the worst for amt of time in travel, stops etc, but logistically the easiest if going from port in Vanc to seatac or downtown Seattle but not always very quickly. Train rumored to be starting by late may before the memorial day holiday, but no one really knows
