  1. Oh! Forgot to mention something about this quaint hotel we have been staying at...every blipping morning there is a blipping Rooster that sits outside our door and doodles at 4:30 am ...grrr. Note to self! If we ever decide to come back here, pack a sling shot!! Hahaha!

HH, they say it has not rained here since christmas, hope it does not stay!?

    Yikes!!

  2. Hi all!

Could not resist sharing this wonderful evening with you!

Had plans to go to the twisted Cork for dinner tonight. Looked like a hole in the wall of a place at first glance but inside was a very charming decor. We were seated beside a table of 14 very loud people , so we decided to leave, as Danny just could not get comfortable with the atmosphere. Standing outside in the rain wondering what our next move should be , we asked a gentleman where the Oceana restaurant was? Asked how far a walk it would be in the rain? He kindly offered us a ride there. What a sweety!! A real gentleman! We accepted his invitation and along the way, Danny asks the usual...are you a local?, what do you do here on the island? Turns out we were being chauffered to the Oceana restaurant in the car of an American Senator. Oceana was a fantastic restaurant!! Outside terrace, amazing food and very professional friendly staff.

So, thank you Zimmy! For this terrific recommendation!!

We will never think about Friday the 13th the same way again!...now it's considered a lucky night for us!...

    Kathy, Danny.

  3. Thank you Jim!

We arrived in St.Thomas yesturday. Travel day was uneventful...

We are staying at the Best Western Emerald bay. Great little place with old school Caribbean appeal! Love the beach bar with a lovely bartender who pours generous amounts of Crown Royal. Last night we ate at a great local spot called Hook, Line and Sinker...Had the Caribbean lobster Thermidor. Yummmy!!

Tonight we dine at a place called the twisted fork. This place gets great reviews from everyone we speak to.

So, tomorrow is the Big day! Looking forward to setting foot on the Yacht again and also meeting HH and his wife Blondie...and as you mentioned Jim!

I should be looking for someone who looks like Mick ( Simply Red )? Right? LOL

Will be in touch to let you know how wonderful life is onboard!

    Happy Valentines Everyone!

    Kathy, Danny.

  4. HH,

Wonderful article! Thanks for sharing it.

Certainly takes a special type to enter into this field. We know a few kids from St.Lucia who started working in the cruise industry....we are very proud of their fortitude. I especially love the section on diversity and was thinking....maybe a few of our Countries leaders should be made to work together on a cruise ship for nine months as part of their training!? Could be a brighter world? Who knows? 😉😃

    Kathy.

  5. HH, Zimmy.

As always, thanks for the encouraging words. 😃

I think I have been reading too much C.C. Posts and as the trip gets closer the jitters start developing 😥 and I think the added pressure of convincing friends to join along...BTW! Just realized I mistakenly posted our full names...

No axe murderers on here right? Haha! No! I am not related to Patty Duke! And all other Dukes of Hazzard jokes have been beaten to death!! LOL

  6. Interesting as we have all seen the SD website home page touting "56 Couples".

Jim, that's what I was thinking!?...do I call him on this? Hmmm.

I just replied, stating the same thing...

Wow! Instant reply from Lawrence... Sorry our advertisement misled you. Hmmm?

  7. Hi Mrs. Duke: There is a large group of 30 cabins on this voyage, but I do not see any children in the group. When groups are on board we do not allow them to monopolize any common areas and all guests are given the "SeaDream service" we are known for. We do not advertise SeaDream as being for "couples only" to my knowledge as SeaDream voyages are open to all. We look forward to serving you and Mr. Proulx() on board SeaDream II on February 14, 2015.

This, from a Laurence B. Major.

  8. Hi All!

We are really getting excited to board our Yacht!

10 days and counting...leaving for St.Thomas on the 12th. Staying at the Best Western for 2 nights, love this little spot! Old school Caribbean!! Not the fanciest place we have been to but the staff more than makes up for it! And you cannot beat the beach bar! Can anyone recommend a couple of restaurants in town ? For the two nights? Seafood, local and delicious !?

Will be joining another couple on this trip and we have been raving about Seadream!! They must have gotten so sick ,hearing us, they had to try it for themselves! Haha! Although my friends husband is very nervous about sea sickness...never experienced small boats before. I'll just make sure I bring along my traveling medicine cabinet. lol

Also, shouldn't we have recieved our travel file by now?...this will be our 3rd Seadream voyage...just as excited as the first!! 😄

    Kathy.

  9. Pirate,

We will be staying at the Best Western in St. Thomas ( our 2nd time ) not fancy by any stretch but it's old school Caribbean and we love the staff! You could probably walk from the airport it's so close! 😄 and really! How much time do we spend in the room anyway?...besides! Save on the hotel to shop in town! 😜

    Have fun!!

    Kathy.

  10. Seabourn again,

You will have a wonderful experience on Seadream! We are thoroughly hooked on it ourselves! 😀 sorry if I missed it but what islands will you be headed to?

Your daughter sounds lovely! And I am sure she will be fine and love the experience. After all! You can't go wrong in the Caribbean! Where everything is IRIE!! 🌴☀️

    Kathy.

  11. jes4845,

I agree to a point, however...if Seadream does not make its policy clear to the public then I assume we are allowed to bring teenagers? I have seen worse behavior from adults on Seadream...we may be joining another couple in July who will be bringing their teenage son...and I would travel with him before I would some adults I know...Seriously though, I think there's more of a problem with younger children...running, jumping on furniture screaming in the hallways...that sort of behaviour. We think there definitely should be an age limit. IMHO.

    Kathy.

  12. Jim,

I take it, your not a golfer!? Haha!...there are so many wonderful and challenging courses in the Caribbean and a few great ones on our next voyage with Seadream in feb...I love golfing!! But I love discovering new beaches more! So I think I'll leave the golfing to Danny this time.

18 days!!! Seadream!!! Take me away!!!...

  13. Beanjar,

Thank you for a great review!! 😃

We will be sailing Seadream1 in July. Looking forward to meeting the staff as we have only been on 2. Glad to hear you enjoyed your time on Seadream! We also loved the Baths walk!! :)

    Thanks also,

Vandrefalk, Zimmy. Re: P.Js... Can you specify size ?

    Kathy.
