Cash money. US Dollars only. Taking a cash advance on your onboard account or currency conversions are really expensive on the ship.
3% is not "really expensive" it's actually fairly reasonable..

My last 2 cruises I was given 2 drinks per transaction w/UBP multiple times. Don't pay attention to the people saying you can't.

July 4th, out of NYC will be nuts. Definitely booked to capacity is my guess.. Personally I wouldn't go on a free cruise out of NYC in the summer time.
-
I know food is very subjective.. but I just gotta say.. Anyone that thinks NCL offers "Good" pizza must not have ever had NYC pizza before.
-
It is the absolute best pizza you can get on a cruise ship.
Wow pretty cool that you've tried the pizza on every cruise ship in the world, congrats on the accomplishment.

other than getting a small refund on port charges why would you get a refund? I am always surprised people even think of this. The cost of the cruise except for the port charges have nothing to do with the ports.
I don't understand your response.. The OP SPECIFICALLY mentioned a refund of "port fee's that they've already charged"

I am sorry that I didn’t mention what stateroom. It is an Oceanview room
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Your ocean view room will absolutely have both a safe, and a mini fridge. Ask your steward to remove all the old skunky alcohol and use it for whatever you want.

Find the hottest "escort" in town, and offer her a free cruise. Go on vacation, and don't leave your cabin ;);)
-
Why not take the drink package as your free promo?

Please post a review when you get back! I'll be on the Escape for the first time in May.

Ummm, just look for the big boat..

Looking forward to my Escape cruise in a few weeks.

I have eaten at just about every specialty restaurant NCL offers.. Le Bistro would hands down be my choice.

Not right. Military deployment should absolutely be covered. Thank you Anthony for your service!

Regarding the bottled beers to bring back to your room, usually the bartender will open the cap. If you ask nicely (maybe toss them a buck) they will leave the cap on it. Do this a few times, and put the beers in your mini fridge till you amass a nice little stockpile. We do the same thing with wine.. order 2 each, to go the room, and deposit into a bottle. Go back down, repeat process a few times till you have a good amount in your room to enjoy on your balcony.

We can just agree to disagree as I don’t think it’s telling anyone I’m more important than you. There are far more times that we will wait for a second, third, or fourth elevator to come so he can get on. We can be waiting in front of the elevator and as the door opens people rush from behind past his scooter onto the elevator. Then when all these people rush past him, there is no longer room for his scooter. Actually the worst age group for it was the older group on our most recent Celebrity cruise. The younger generation on the Carnival Vista was much more accommodating. I apologize for saying shut up...I get fired up and my mama bear comes out when it comes to my husband and how he gets treated on his scooter. Again my apologies.
I can understand why you'd get a bit defensive about this situation, because your husband lives it. And I agree what you said about the younger generation. We (the younger gen) get a bad rep, but I am the FIRST one to volunteer my spot in the elevator to someone disabled, an elderly person, etc.. and that's the rare cases I take the elevator. My wife and I are young, and in good shape, so 99% of the time its the stairs. Common courtesy isn't common anymore. I am also the guy to thank anyone wearing any type of veteran hat, give up my seat on the bus, etc.. I guess it was just the way I was raised. It's a me, me, me type world we live in, and things would be better if people just had a tad more consideration for each other.

I created a PDF for our NCL Escape cruise March 2017. I would think most of them are still available. In case my signature does not show on your device, here is the LINK
Thanks so much for posting!!

The whole absurdity of this thread is that there are only a very few times on any cruise that elevators are an issue. One being right before/after muster drill. A vast majority of the time the elevator capacity is a non-issue. In reality it is all a first world problem anyway. Stop looking for reason to be angry and grumpy, instead enjoy your cruise!
You nailed it. I say it all the time.. some people just love complaining, and being miserable. They are on every cruise. And I love the looks I get from said nasty people, when I'm drinking, gambling, carrying on, and having a merry ole' time!

aren't you the one who also is concerned about someone being too close in an elevator? High maintenance much? Good grief.

There is no system to guess how many people can fit on an elevator. Fat people love to cruise, get a few 300-400lbers on an elevator, you ain't fitting 12 people!!

The silly posts that are started on this site never cease to amaze me.

Enjoy your cruise

Huh, now im confused. Guess ill find out onboard myself
What are you confused about? You got extremely clear and concise answers. FLIGHT IS NOT INCLUDED. Order the drinks separately, and the UBP will cover each drink. Nothing here to be confused about

Ok, I'll bite.................what is CAS and ADA ??
CAS = Casino At Sea
ADA = American with Disabilities Act
What is the weirdest thing you ever seen happening on an NCL ship! Just Curious.

Some strange old guy on the Gem who would dress up in a different, unique "outfit" every night. From an African getup one night, to Marine Corps dress blues the next.. very strange stuff. I heard other passengers saying he was a regular on the Gem, not a Vet, and was known as being a tad strange.
