  1. Hi

We have a classic drinks package included on our cruise next March but it will be our 25th Wedding anniversay whilst on the cruise

Do Celebrity allow you to bring a bottle of champagne on at embarkation ?(Princess allow 2 bottles wine/champagne on embarkation to consume in the cabin)

  2. Thank you so much Euro cruiser , I didn't realise there was a metro system ther , can we buy tickets at the metro or do we need to go to a newsagent ? Thank you for the taxi numbers too , I did a bit of research and realised that Battipaglia was closer than Salerno so should be cheaper for a taxi hopefully , you have been a big help

  3. We have driven in Italy before but not really through any major towns or cities , , and not Naples , the italian driving is terrible and we have observed the " red light is a suggestion as opposed to obligatory " style of driving there on several occasions !! I am listening to you all , we didn't take into consideration the wait to pick up the car or re fueling which could take up some time as well as actually getting out of Naples

Our new plan now is to walk to the train station as soon as we disembark (I will take a timetable of the trains with me ) and then judge if we can make it in the time we have ashore , looking at the times now it should be ok providing we dont spend too long at the cemetery , I can't imagine needing any more time than that there anyways . Hopefully we will be able to find a taxi at either salerno or battipaglia train station to take us there

  4. Hi

We want to visit my grandfathers grave in Salerno war cemetery whilst on a cruise in early June , I have looked at the trains and it will be a bit tight for time as it is 30 mins to the train station and the cemetery is between Salerno and Battipaglia so would need a taxi the other end too so are thinking of hiring a car , one website I found only has the cars at the train station , does anybody know of a car company that may hire from the port itself please ? Thank you for any information , our ship is in port from 8 - 2 pm so time will be a bit tight

  5. I would like to cruise from Europe to New Zealand , is this even possible ? Where do the cruise ships go when they are not in Australasia , would it be possible to join a ship when it is on its way to that area ? What cruise lines would likely do this trip ? Any info much appreciated

  7. From which Hotel and to which port? There are a few ports in Singapore but only 2 main ports for Cruise ships. :)

    Hi

We have now booked a hotel at Boat quay and our ship is sailing from Marina Bay cruise terminal , last time we were there March 2012 we sailed from the container port

  8. You can only book this hotel for 6 hours initially then have to pay for each hour over this , it can work out expensive , we looked at this but have now booked another hotel not too far from the airport with free shuttle which works out cheaper , each room has a garden or beach view

  9. We are british , living in France and can drive to Barcelona in 3 hours and Savona in 6 hours , we have been on Costa several times and have booked another 2 this year , we have just returned from South America on Princess , we like to book our big cruise on an american line , normally Princess but next year Celebrity for the itinerary to the Far East . Costa is different but the prices are far less than other cruise lines including their drink packages , you are not allowed to cancel the tips as far as I am aware , all the staff we have encountered have been polite and happy and we have never had a problem with any members of staff , they all speak english as mentioned before , the italian and french guests can be very rude about queuing as previously stated but I normally tap them on the shoulder and point to the back of the queue , this normally works , the food is mediterranean and whilst you do not get steaks and lobster it is very good , there is always a pasta course on the menu which we tend to share as a course as not to eat too much, the only gripe I have with Costa is that after your evening meal you cannot get a snack anywhere , saying that we do not have all the courses at dinner so if you do you should not need/want further food , the courses are a good size , we always have the drinks packages so get glasses of water with dinner but have seen people buying bottles of water , the shows are always good and there is a good variety of entertainment in all the bars , all in all I think Costa is value for money but you cannot compare it to the american cruise lines , it is very much Italian

  10. PrimeTime and SuperShuttle are the cheap options, or at least the fastest cheap option.

Everything else will be much more expensive and take a dreadfully long time and involve multiple transfers.

Assuming you mean the San Pedro (Los Angeles) and not Long Beach cruise terminal, you have limited options.

I've never done Uber from the San Pedro terminal to Hollywood, but knowing how far it is, I think it would be a bit less, but you might need UberXL if you have lots of luggage.

Ok thank you very much for the recommendation , I have registered with Uber now and will use them

  11. Hi

Is there public transportation from the cruise terminal to Hollywood area at all , primetime and supershuttle both want $64 for a single trip in a shared van for 2 people which sounds a bit expensive

Any advice or information would be much appreciated , thank you
