  1. Have been on the Miracle 4 times, all 13 day cruises to Alaska, Panama Canal and Hawaii. Very few kids, and an older cruise crowd. The longer the cruise the age factor goes up, kids go down. All 4 we never saw any misbehaving on the ship. The Miracle is an older ship, but it’s a nice ship,

  2. There is a water way from the rear of the pool area up to the bar. I enjoy the pool at Amber Cove. Get there early to grab a lounger under a shaded area. There’s a restaurant, and you can rent umbrellas. Out in the sun, it gets very hot.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your cruise but boy what an awful way to end a nice trip! Glad that you made it home eventually!

Hi neighbor, we are here in Rockford. Was really frustrated for two days.

  4. This was my wife and I first Holland America cruise. We have been a loyal Carnival cruiser. The flight to FLL went without incident. We arrived at our motel around 6pm. We ordered in and then went to bed, we had been up since 1:30am. Next morning we shuttled over to Port Everglades. Caught first look at the ship, very impressive. This is my general impression of the ship. It’s classy, beautiful, clean. The staff was great. The entertainment was really good. The band in the BB King dance Club was fabulous, as was the entertainment in the Billboard Club and the other rock and roll club. Food was delicious at all the venues. The Grand Dutch Cafe has good coffee and free snacks. Our ports were Amber Cove, San Juan, St. Thomas, and HMC. Have been to these ports many times so we just wandered around the ports. The 7 days went by to fast, for the last few years we have done only 10 to 14 day cruises. All good things come to an end, its disembarkation day, which went smoothly, off the ship by 8:30am. Caught a cab to our Hotel, we stayed over one day, planned to wander around Ft Lauderdale but it rained  all day This is where the chaos began. Monday we were up very early to catch a flight home. No problems until we landed, exited the plane in Tampa to catch our flight to Chicago. As soon as we reached the gate for our connection an announcement was made, all flights to Chicago have been cancelled until Wednesday. Scrambled for a two night stay. That evening an e-mail from Southwest now booked us for a 7am flight the next morning. Up early again. Arrived at FLL, again our flight was cancelled. Back to the hotel. Thinking’s have not quite settled down. My wife was pulled off our booking and placed her solo for Wednesday. I had to now get me on the same flight. All worked for Wednesday with the great help from the Southwest representatives. Finally got on a flight home with a few minor delays along the way. Finally home after another 11 hours of traveling.  Last thing I’ll say, is we loved Holland America and will defiantly sail them again.

One more suggestion is to check Carnival’s website several times a day looking for a cabin that becomes available because of a last minute cancellation.  If you see one, grab it right away because it won’t last long.

I have seen cruises sold out on Carnival and other booking sites have the same cruise open for booking. So my suggestion is to search all sites that offer cruises, you might get lucky.

I tried to search a bunch of different ways….. but nothing coming up..

    So question is

Coming in Monday Dec 4th on NCL Bliss, is it doable to get to FLL airport from Miami port for a JB flight leaving at 12:20pm.

    thanks for any input

As mentioned above, you are returning on a work day, could be I-95 traffic. Don’t delay debarking the ship, get to FLL asap.

My sister is concerned they wont be able to board the ship.  We are doing a journey cruise in January.  Me and my brother in law in one cabin,  my hubby and sister in another.   We are doing the 2 day before on the same ship (b2b),   they are doing a 7 day on a different ship (SBS).  I told her I would ask here to get your insite on this.  I told her as long as they have thier bording pass they will be fine.   She is worried because we will already be on board.

    Thanks for your help!

To calm her worries, meet up at the terminal based on whoever has the latest check in time and check in together. Make sure all have boarding passes

  8. Good afternoon cruisers. Sitting here at home on a cool afternoon watching college football, going over the paperwork for our upcoming cruise. Can anyone who has departed from Port Everglades terminal 26 recently tell me if they are enforcing  the check in times and if so do they have a line for early arrivals.

Thank you.  I appreciate your information

The first thing I would do unless you do not care what check in time you get is be on the Carnival web site 14 days prior to sailing, at midnight EST. Grab your time then you can fill out the rest of the info as stated above.

I’m not new to cruising, but once had a horrible experience with a guaranteed cabin. However there is a cruise i’m interested in that has 500 off, but is a guarantee. What have other experiences been like? I know i slept a lot better when i was able to choose my own cabin. Price is hard to beat though.

Have had one a few years ago. Switched from an OV to a balcony. When we got the balcony I was disappointed. It was an obstructed view. When I looked up the location it was towards the rear of the ship and the obstruction was a lifeboat about 6 balconies forward. No obstruction at all. This January we are cruising on Holland America with a guar. ocean view, still waiting for it to be assigned. Not worried where it will be, but would like to see what we were given.

    My thoughts.....

    1) typo,

    2) temporary website glitch. I know there were real challenges in the couple weeks after the IT reboot back in September. I think those are mostly ironed out.

Take 'some' comfort that the computer recognizes the cruise. Perhaps the problem is with how you are personally accounted for.

If it persists, absolutely call the 1-800 mother ship. That shouldn't happen and customer service should be able to get to the bottom of it.

Either that or she's taking her new boyfriend and is about to have a 'chat' with you! 😳🤣

If you are using different computers to log on to Carnival, try a different browser from the one you are having the problem with. This sometimes work.
