Pre-existing conditions coverage is complicated. Here’s how medically stable and the lookback period fit together:

    • Any medical condition (no matter how minor) existing in the 60 to 365 day Lookback Period is defined as a Pre-Existing Condition if you’ve had symptoms, it’s been treated, consulted on or had a change of medication during those 60 to 365 days prior to the travel insurance policy’s effective date.
    • A Pre-Existing Medical Condition includes any condition that’s been tested, treated, examined, consulted with, received advice on or had symptoms of. This also includes any adjustments or changes in any prescriptions or medication. If a pre-existing condition exists, it must be “stable”.“Stable”, in respect to www.TripInsuranceStore.com’s travel insurance plans, means that the person with the pre-existing condition:
      • Has not already taken a turn for the worse;
      • Is not in a state where any changes are foreseen, known, or expected that could cause the person to “take a turn for the worse”. This varies from company to company.

The above copy and paste is from this site:

Thanks for the info. My condition was diagnosed months after booking the cruise

Always love insurance threads….ligit claim only $198 paid.  Need WAY more detail to determine anything other than we know the OP is not happy.  Also love people who think the ONLY reason to get insurance is when the trip costs a lot.  In actuality, the majority of claims are for medical and the issues that result vs recovering cruise costs.

Jimbo5544, we have been cruising for 20 years and ALWAYS get insurance for our cruises. Yes my claim is for medical and it was not a pre existing condition. It’s a legitimate  claim. I was diagnosed with cancer months after we booked the cruise, and had two operations in March of this year. All the paper work showed it.

Again, as long as it covers what you need, sure. But if you need to cancel due to a pre-existing medical condition for example, you learn quickly why it is so affordable when you get the "claim denied" letter.

I’m attempting to contact AON to find out the reason for basically denying my claim. I had two cancer operations in March but the cruise was booked in March 2022 and the cancer was not detected until August of 2022 so it could not have been denied for a pre existing condition.

Just a warning to anyone who is thinking of using Carnivals travel insurance. This company is a rip off. Filed a legit medical claim for $3,800 dollars and got back $198.00.. Looked at the reviews, 99.9% are having to wait months for a settlement, if they even get one then.I read many reviews that say the same thing over and over,  this company is a rip off. Beware stay away from  Carnival travel insurance

Disembarked this morning from the Magic at Port Canaveral and are missing a bag. Completely apathetic staff to our plight. Anyone have experience with this and have tips on how to navigate the process? The one t shirt we purchased for our son is gone from the most perfect day in St Maarten on a catamaran. Carnival is losing 3 cruisers today. The lack of care or effort illustrates why we won't be on their ships any longer.

A few cruises back at Miami my bag did not show up in the claims area. Everyone looked for it from one end of the area to the other no success. Went home hoping for a phone call saying it was found. Well it was found. What happened, was the bag fell off the cart with nobody picking it up. Possibly this same thing happened to you.

Curious if anyone did any paperwork to document your lost luggage?

The last couple of cruises, they didn’t do this. They gave $25 in casino freeplay, which you had to gamble. From that, we walked away with a whopping $7 in winnings. Paid for a couple of Pepsis. 🤪

Our last three cruises we got $25.00 each. And an e-mail this week confirmed that we will receive $25.00 on our April cruise.

I'll be bringing my wheelchair because I can't be on my feet for more than a couple of minutes at one time. My husband or adult daughter can push me. I'm wondering if there is a separate line for people that require the use of a device. I've seen videos of long wait times in lines where people are standing. But I don't notice wheelchairs. If there is a separate line for handicap, do I have to try to board alone? Or can the 3 of us board together if we're all in the same cabin? I'm not asking for preferential treatment at all. I just want to make sure I don't hold up the process for anyone else if I'm supposed to be elsewhere.  Thanks!

Can’t answer the separate line question. I go right along with my wife who is handicapped into the check in area, we are platinum My wife uses a walker and at Long Beach we go through the entrance, check in and are directed to the elevators bypassing the ramp. My guess is both your daughter and husband will be allowed on the elevator with you.

the Hub app is free while onboard the Glory.  if you have anyone you would like to text through the app it is $5 per sailing per person.

We usually agree to that since we dont have an international plan on our phones and my wife and I often do our own thing on sea days.  it's nice just to send a message letting her know where i end up.  (she usually sunbathes which isnt my preference)

it also has all the daily activities and dining menus.

my last cruise didnt have any printed fun times. not even the half sheet they used to have. i looked at coffee shop and guest services. was told they don't print it anymore at all.

Found the text portion to be erratic on how long it takes to deliver the message. Otherwise the app is helpful in planning your day and if you have YTD for making reservations

Suites can do online check in starting 16 days before the cruise. But am I correct in thinking you really meant suites can check in at the port (Arrival Appointment time technically) at any time, regardless of their official arrival appointment time?

First time in a suite and I'm still trying to learn the ropes.

Yes. Suites have the same privilege as diamonds and platinums. A check in time is required whether you pick one or Carnival assigns you one when you don’t choose one. You can arrive at any time, 10:30,12:00, 1:00 or 2:00 you go right to the check in counters no waiting on line. When we arrive past our check in time we just walk up to a Carnival rep at the door to the terminal show our boarding pass and are ushered right in.

Print out some pictures of towel animals and see how close you can replicate them or invent a towel animal!

Print out a map of the area you are cruising through (Caribbean?) and walk them through the path of the ship to your ports.

Print out a menu of what you are having at your special 100 day dinner at your house.  Pretend that Grandma or Grandpa is the MDR waiter and have them order dinner, from appetizers, entree to dessert.  Doesn't have to be fancy, just fun!

Get matching T shirts with a fun saying on it for embarkation day!

Hope these are some fun ideas and that you have a wonderful cruise!

Do they have their own luggage? If not maybe a child’s rolling piece or a backpack cruise related. My wife does tee shirts for us every cruise. Expand it to the four of you. A reservation to the Dr. Seuss breakfast.  Hope this helps.

  11. We have done Hawaii two times. First time was in May and the weather was chilly, not cold, sunshine and  not to rough all 5 crossing days. The second was a year ago March, sailed to and from Hawaii. The crossing both ways  was sunny but cooler in the daytime but real cold in the early evening, Really rough crossing both ways all day and night.

  12. The first to board are suites, wedding parties, diamond, and then platinum followed by everyone else. When you select your time 10:30ami if you're lucky, then the mob is checked in, it's a zoo until about 1:00pm. The latest you can arrive depends what time you sail.If sail away is 5pm, final boarding is usually 3:30pm, I would not cut it that close. We are platinum and one time we came down on the train from Port St. Lucie. Had a rental   car delay in West Palm Beach an hour train ride, arrived at the Port of Miami around 2pm, walked right on the ship
