  1. This may seem a silly question but I am asking it anyway 😁. We are diamond however we have always purchased a drink package. For our Oct cruise on the Allure we opted not to. For us the prices just seemed so high. I know we get 4 free drink vouchers each day but, does that begin with embarkation day or not until the following day? Thank you in advance for any assistance!

  2. Hello fellow cruisers! We are cruising out of Fort Lauderdale on the Celebrity Equinox this month. Staying one night before the cruise at Hampton Inn Airport North Cruise Port. Would like to figure out where/how to board the water taxi. Is the Hilton Marina the closest place we can board? How far from our hotel would that be? Also is one of the stops Coconuts restaurant? Thank you.

  3. Hello to all! We are taking our very first Celebrity cruise in May. We have cruised several times on Carnival and Royal Caribbean. We downloaded the Celebrity app for our Equinox cruise and entered our information including our covid vaccination cards. For the last week the app still says, "Validating Your Record". Does anyone know how long this process generally takes?  Thank you in advance.

  4. I have also posted this question on the Mardi Gras Roll Call forum. I am interested in doing B2B. Have only one leg booked now,  for Feb 12th. I am worried about how to do the covid testing in between the first and second cruise. Do I have to call Carnival to schedule a test if doing a back to back? Can I schedule it online when I book the cruise? Do I have to leave the ship and try to find a rapid antigen test? We are vaccinated/boostered. I have done a search but, not really found any definite answers. I am running out of time to book the second leg but am afraid to without understanding the process. In past, my calls to Carnival for other issues have not always worked out so well. Has anyone already done a B2B?

We cruised MG back in November and took a hotel shuttle to Pier 3, which is situated away from other cruise ships.  MG is currently the only ship in the Canaveral port that uses liquid natural gas for fuel,  so it docks discretely apart.

The parking garage has multiple levels and is suited to handle the volume of cars expected for any MG sailing.  As others have said, it is best to arrive and depart as early as possible to avoid traffic delays and congestion.

Our arrival time is not until noon will that be okay for getting a decent parking spot?

  6. We have never parked directly at the port before. We always did the hotel/park/cruise packages. We now live in Florida and it is unnecessary. We are sailing on the Mardi Gras and if I am correct that is Terminal 3? Is there also a parking garage right at the terminal building? I realize there are cheaper options but, we want to park right at the port, no shuttle. Do I need to make reservations for the parking garage? I have not sailed since 2019 and will admit I am very anxious about everything. Any assistance would be appreciated.

  7. Hello everyone! I have a question about OBC and hope you can help. I have cruised many times. I thought that if you had received OBC you could use it immediately to pay for specialty dinners, excursions or a drink package. I received $200 in OBC when I booked. I would like to make a purchase now in cases prices raise. I cannot seem to locate the OBC online to apply toward my purchase. Is this something new? My cruise is not until Oct 2022 is that the reason? Maybe I am just not remembering how things worked pre-covid? I am hoping I can do this online and I don't have to call Carnival. That never seems to work out too well for me LOL! I do have my receipt listing the OBC so I did not make a mistake there. I completed a search but, didn't locate any topics related to this specifically.

The Vista. I didn't like the way the theater is designed. We had Anytime Dining, which is held in the Horizon Restaurant, in the Aft of the ship on Deck 3. Because the entrance to the MDR is on Deck 3, right off of the elevator lobby, there is very little room for people to line up to wait to be seated. Instead, you have to go to a little kiosk on Deck 5  and get a ticket with your check in time to be seated, then make your way down two decks to the MDR when it's time to go eat dinner. A major design flaw in my opinion. Also not real fond of the Atrium design. These, along with a few other minor things that I didn't like, are the reasons we won't be cruising again on the Vista. And, since the sister ship the Horizon  is built the same way, we won't be cruising on it either.

I would have to agree with above poster. In addition, I missed the thalassotherapy pool and the spa seemed so tiny. Not worth the extra money for a spa cabin. I would not sail on the Vista again unless I really, really, wanted to see a particular port that was on the itinerary.

  9. Same thing happened to us the first time. The booking was unclear at least to me. We were called down to Guest Services the day before we docked at Labadee. They asked if we meant to book 2 clam shells. I thought I booked 1 for 2 people LOL! Given they called us down, I expect this must have happened before. 😊

  10.     If making reservations for shows is a deal breaker I would recommend the next size smaller Freedom Class. More bells and whistles than the small ships. We loved the ice show! I too, use to think the big ships were not for me but, someone convinced me to try Oasis. OMG! I found out that I LOVED the ship, I thought I would hate. Making the show reservations, while not my preference was not really all that big of a deal. Any ship you chose you can't go wrong on RCI! Have a great time!
