Well let's see. We booked a spa balcony. I can honestly say that we spent a whole lot more time in the spa than we did out on the balcony. I would have to do the spa interior.

I tend to eat low carb. Mostly meats and veggies. I don't drink sugary drinks. I go for the low carb drinks such as diet coke and rum.

They have a habit of putting unusual stuff on sandwiches without asking.
Once put mayo on a pastrami sandwich. Made them toss it would not accept it.
Mayo on pastrami? YUCK!

Wonderful! Thanks to all who responded!

We actually plan on staying in Orlando overnight after our cruise. Would like to disembark at Port Canaveral and do a RCI excursion with Orlando airport drop off. We would then call a free hotel shuttle to pick us up at the airport and spend the night. Is this possible? Do you keep your luggage with you during this type of excursion or does RCI send your luggage ahead to the airline? I am hoping others have done this.

When we first began cruising in 2010 the food on Carnival was really pretty good. Over the years it seems the quality has gone down a bit. Currently, I think the food in the buffet and main dining room is about the same on RCI and Carnival. Guy's Burgers are better than RCI hamburgers however, I prefer RCI's fries.

Oh darn....Thanks for the info, Bob. May need to rethink this.
-
Me too! Makes me laugh out loud! :D

Can you exit a RCI ship and then walk to the Carnival terminal at Port Canaveral? We are thinking about taking a short Carnival cruise after our RCI Oasis of the Seas back to back. We are fairly fit couple in our 50's who would have a couple of rolling suitcases. If we would have to take a taxi will that be difficult given they will all be waiting to take folks farther?

I do enjoy sailing to new places however, I am ambivalent about sailing to Cuba. I may end up there some day but, I probably won't seek out a cruise there unless it's a really good deal.

The spa on the dream is, well, a dream! You will love it. We so enjoyed our spa cabin. Such a shame the Vista does not have a thalostherapy pool but, rather a smaller (compared to the pool) hot tub.

^ that might not be possible online (it makes you buy two of the same thing) but probably have to call.
Thank you. I dread calling anymore. I have had several representatives that did not seem to know what they were doing.

We always use cash however, we have not made any large purchases such as jewelry.

Sadly the sushi wagon is a thing of the past. My DH LOVED that thing. :(

I did not know he got banned. That explains why I have not seen any recent posts LOL! He sailed with us on the Vista out of New York. I recognized him by the silly hats. Never did a tour with him and now I never will. Thank you for the information.

While the Paradise is not the Dream, it is not a bad ship. Just a smaller one with fewer options. Some folks sail for the destination, some for the ship, some for both. We started out on small ships and then sailed larger ones. We enjoyed the Paradise and the Dream. Happy sailing. :D

That’s hilarious :'):'):')
But pizza doesn’t cause sore throats!
It can if you are eating someone elses LOL! :')

Before the drink packages were required for everyone over 21 in the cabin, you could purchase 1 drink package and 1 drink package that included internet service for one device. How does that work now? Can you still indicate this is what you wish to purchase? The last time I bought the drink package I had to purchase two and did not know how indicate I wanted one of them to have the internet discount.

We really miss the live bands at the stage shows.

Thank you, Subagirrl. We will be there in Oct and will walk over early so perhaps it will be okay.

I am not too worried about the vendor issues. Really just looking for answers to the question about condition of the beach. Anyone?

2010 aboard the Carnival Sensation. Experienced horrendous sea sickness. That was 13 cruises ago! ;p

Being from NYC, I am a bit nervous trying their pizza
We had a pizza during a trip to New York last year at Famous Amadeus. No frills place but, enjoyed the pizza. Carnival isn't that but, it is not as bad as some folks let on.
