After several Carnival cruises we sailed on RC for the first time this year. We loved FOS. The biggest difference for us was the entertainment. DH and I felt the shows were so much better on RC.
-
Our first RC cruise was a Jr. Suite on FOS. We had a silver sea pass card. Loved the cabin sooooo much. This probably ruined us for other cruises but, it was worth the cost to us. :)

DH & I had such a terrific time aboard the Freedom of the Seas in Oct, that we decided to get out of the Indiana winter for a while :p. We decided to do a Jan cruise. We have never cruised in the winter before, so I am a bit concerned about flights etc..... Hopefully, everything will go off without a hitch! I know Vision of the Seas is a lot smaller than FOS and that is okay. I was just wondering about the shows in the main theater. Can anyone tell me what they are? Thank you.

After several Carnival cruises we tried RC in Oct. It was GREAT. I felt Carnival was getting a bit stale. I wanted a new adventure and Freedom of the Seas did not disappoint. Loved it. Plenty to do on RC, no worries.

Okay great! Thanks to all.

I want to book Chops Grill and use my credit card to pay. Will RC charge the dinner to my card after we dine or when I book? Just trying to figure out if it will be deducted from my Sail & Sign card which I do not want. Thanks for any help you can provide. :)

Probably a dumb question but, can you purchase bottled alcohol for your cabin on RC? I tried to look on the RC site but, could only find wine. I am more interested in a bottle of rum! Can it be purchased in advance of your sailing?

I have stayed in forward first cabins several times. I got sea sick on my first cruise so I always take Bonine now. I have had no problems with the forward cabins. I actually enjoy forward as high up as I can get.

I enjoyed it the first 2 or 3 times but, it is pretty stale at this point. New pool games would be appreciated.

We decided not to cruise on Carnival this year but, when I received the sale email today I could not believe the prices. Cruises for $120.00, you're kidding me! We had discussed doing a Carnival prior to our RC cruise but, in August I received a notice for the Federal jury pool which made it impossible. Wish I could take advantage of the prices though!

Good to know.

We are pretty easy to please and keep our cabin tidy. Just want kindness and consideration that's about it.

Thanks this is good to know. I would have assumed booking with a RC Cruise Planner was booking with RC and would work the same way as booking online.

How tragic and heartbreaking for his family.

Eastern for me & Western for DH :)

Humm sounds interesting

31 loooooong days until my first RC cruise!
-
I see the pros and cons of both sides of the issue. I would not be inclined to use wifi constantly on my vacation but, it would be nice to surf by the pool. :)

You have the right outlook. Any day of my vacation beats work every time! I appreciate your comments on the Sunshine. :)

Can't wait for our first RC cruise on the Freedom of the Seas in Oct!!!!

Have a quick lunch and hit the pool!

We cruise in the fall and in general, the crowd is typically a bit older than during the summer months. I would think more Margaritaville type music would fill the bill. :)

My DH & and I are in our mid 50's and in average shape. How challenging is the climb and how dangerous is it?
Still overwhelming on the boat?

Relax it is going to be fabulous & soon you will be a seasoned cruiser. :)
We always eat a little lunch when we board. Then we head to the pool for a drink & some chilling until the safety drill.
