  1. This could be him:

    Ha, ha, ha!

Today I requested they stop sending me emails as I was not booking with Carnival this year. I thought about doing a back to back. One RC & one Carnival however, my jury duty will prevent it. :(

  2. I don't normally visit the Carnival boards, so forgive me if this has been mentioned before.

Two nights ago, I visit the Carnival site to get a price on a cruise. Yesterday, i get a call from Carnival to follow up on my visit to their site. And then last night, an I get a follow-up email. Both the call and the email are from my personal vacation planner - Joe.

I dont' know if Joe is real or some kind of computer robot :D

Does this happen to everybody, or am I just lucky?

I visit websites for many cruiselines and no other line stalks me like this.

Am I really special to Carnival or are they just desperate for my business? Some might see this as good customer management, ... I see it as stalking.

I can relate. The first call I received from Carnival I was told so and so was my new PVP and that I had used some other woman previously. I have never used a PVP always preferring to book myself. The calls continued daily until I blocked the number on my phone. Now I am getting emails from this same woman.

  3. My past experience was pretty good with submitting price drop forms. I did have a problem with one being rejected. When I called the employee kept trying to convince me all the cabins in my category were gone. I knew better as I had done a mock booking and took a screen shot of it. I finally had to send the screen shot to them but then got the price drop. Sometimes it just seems like it depends on who you get.

  4. Nachi Cocum is my hubby's favorite place! The drinks are excellent, food good, & the service is wonderful. Well worth the price. Last time we were there they only had a few other couples. It was like having a private beach all to ourselves! We will be returning this fall. Transportation was a breeze. Cost posted & waiting cabs at the port. We told our waiter when we were ready to go. I made a quick trip to the bathroom and when I came out the cab was waiting.

  5. Am looking at doing a B2B cruise in Oct/Nov and driving from Indiana to Florida. We liked the Residence Inn last year and I believe they have a cruise package. Has anyone ever done a B2B and left their vehicle for that long? Will will do a 7 day first and then maybe a 5-7 day after that. Am wondering if perhaps there is a limit to the days included and after that the hotel charges you extra? Thank you in advance for helpful information. :)

*Edited to add: We will be sailing out of Port Canaveral.

  6. We are taking our first RC cruise on Freedom of the Seas in late Oct. DH wants to do a B2B. He was looking at the Carnival Liberty for the 2nd cruise due in part to the good pricing. We will not have a car coming of FOS. Does anyone know if it's possible to walk from one terminal to the other? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

  7. Sorry you had such a difficult experience. We will sail for the first time with RC this fall. Previously, we have only sailed with Carnival. Although we experienced a few issues on the Dream, we enjoyed our cruise. We just feel it is time to try another line. We have nothing to compare Carnival to. Hope your next cruise, with whatever line you choose goes better. :)

  8. Okay. I guess I was asking if there is a best time to book for the best deal. I was thinking maybe farther out would not be as good as a month or two before the cruise. I will look this year at the prices for Oct in Aug/Sept and see if they are less than I paid. I realize to do that you take a chance on not getting the cabin or location you prefer.

  9. Hello to all. I am a new cruiser on RC. Have only cruised Carnival in the past but, was looking for something different. I booked a Jr Suite on Freedom of the Seas last June. I paid $1449 per person for our Oct cruise. I have been checking RC site ever since looking for the elusive price drop. Even with the WOW sale, the per person price is $1454.12 although there is a $100 OBC. The sale price is still more than I originally paid per person. I am not complaining as I booked the cabin I wanted but, was just wondering is there a best time to book in order to get a better deal? Happy cruising! : )

  10. We did FTTF once on our Dream sailing. Thought it would be worth it with a ship that size. Really didn't think it worked that well, at least on our cruise. We got to the port about 10:30. We waited where we were told to, then a staff member came over and told us we should move all the way across the room. We did and then another staff person came and told us we should not have been moved and to go back. We waited a long time and then they called FTTF! We thought we were boarding but, they just took us to another waiting room (upstairs maybe?) already full of unhappy early boarders. Don't think we got on the ship until after 12 and maybe closer to 1. We didn't get our luggage any earlier although I don't care very much about that. I did go to Guest Services once in the shorter line. An elderly lady in front of me turned to complain about all those "Faster To The Fun people" and how they shouldn't be allowed to use that line.......When she asked if I agreed I said, "So sorry but, I am one of "those people"..............
