  1. Thanks so much for the information! I was thinking it might be hours! This sounds not too bad.
  2. What is the procedure for passengers staying for the next cruise on transit day? How long do you have to wait in the show lounge? I assume the staff does a full cleaning of the ship, and this is why they want all the transit passengers in one place. We will be on the Eurodam from Feb 14 - Mar 6, our first B2B.
  3. Does the Eurodam main dining room have a section for Club Orange/Neptune Suite passengers?
  4. You can make anytime dining reservations through the Navigator app? How do you do that?
  5. Anyone who is on the Eurodam, what is the interpretation of the term, “Dressy.” What are passengers wearing to dinner for a dressy night? I’m assuming it is probably a mix of different degrees of dressiness! How would you say the majority of passengers are dressed to go to dinner on these nights? We will be boarding the Eurodam next month and aren’t sure what to bring for “dressy.”
  6. Thanks all! I guess we will stick with the Neptune coffee! ☕️☕️☕️
  7. Is there an in-room coffeemaker in the Neptune Suites on the Eurodam? Does anyone know what it is? (Keurig, Nespresso, etc.) Thanks!
  8. We will be on a 21-day B2B on Eurodam in February. We have had 2 port changes so far. Key West is replaced by Nassau, and St Lucia is replaced by Martinique. Especially disappointed about losing St Lucia as I wanted to go to the Pink Plantation for lunch. Hopefully these are the only changes being made.
  9. My husband and I haven’t cruised since 2019. We are going on a back-to-back Caribbean cruise in February. We are in a Neptune suite. What does Club Orange offer that a suite cabin (SA) does not? I thought I read that if you are in a Neptune suite you don’t need to book Club Orange. Like I said…very confused!
  10. Just transportation from the hotel and back. No other perks I am aware of. I’m not even sure about the limited # of people, as that just did sound right to me.
  11. We are booked on the Viking Alsvin Christmas Markets on the Rhine & Moselle for November 2023. The trip begins with a hotel stay in Paris, and we have opted for the pre-tour in Paris to have a few more days there. One of the extra cost shore excursions on the pre-tour is a nighttime Seine River cruise. Has anybody done this excursion? A Rep from Viking told us that this excursion is only for the 20 people on the Viking Paris pre-tour…that we have the entire boat! This doesn’t sound right to me. If anyone has done this excursion with Viking, could you let me know if this is the case. Will the pre-tour participants be the only passengers on the Seine boat? Thanks!
  12. If you receive onboard credit from your travel agency and don’t use all of it, is the balance credited back to your onboard account?
  13. We were on our one and only WC in 2019. (I know you asked for opinions from more recent WC’ers, but thought I would let you know of our experience.) We found the evening entertainment to be excellent. Even if it was something that we didn’t think we would be interested in, it would be presented in such a way that it was very entertaining. I can’t say the same for the onboard speakers. There was only one who was excellent. The rest were pitiful. They found a way to make interesting subjects mundane and very boring. It takes more than knowledge of your subject to make an interesting speaker. Unfortunately, most of these lecturers had no idea of how to present their subject to a roomful of cruise passengers. It was such a shame because there were some speaker subjects that should have been great. With all the consecutive sea days on our WC, after a while, we were finding ourselves to be quite bored. Of course, the port days were wonderful. I’m sad to hear that the VoV is not going well for you. We’ve done that itinerary 2x and both were beyond great in all aspects. But the last one was 8 years ago. A lot has changed since that time. Hope you get some opinions regarding more recent WC’s!
  14. Has anyone done the HAL shore excursion to the Pink Plantation in St Lucia? What did you think of the lunch that was offered? Were you able to order from their regular menu? Approximately how many passengers were on your excursion, and did you feel that it was too many? Thanks!
  15. Has anyone done a ship excursion to the Pink Plantation in St Lucia? What was your opinion of the lunch offered there? Did you have the same menu choices as travelers who go there independently?
  16. How far in advance can you make dining reservations?
  17. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond. The negative reviews I read were in the *Reviews* section of this site. Everything from “the ship was dirty” to “the food was inedible!” We haven’t cruised at all since 2019. I found it hard to believe that the Eurodam had gone downhill so rapidly. But almost every review was negative. So, thank you again for your responses and restoring my faith in HAL. We have booked the Eurodam! 😀
  18. Can anyone who has sailed on the Eurodam recently tell me if there is an up charge for fresh OJ in the Lido? Also, are lunch menus in the DR and the Lido the same every day? My husband and I are contemplating a trip on the Eurodam for winter 2024. We are longtime 5-star HAL cruisers. This would be our 1st cruise since 2019. After reading so many negative CC reviews of the Eurodam, we are wondering if it is wise to book this trip. My 2 questions above came from some of the reviews I read. I try to read between the lines, but there are so many terrible reviews, especially where the food is concerned. I have always found the dining on a HAL ship, be it the Lido or MDR, to be superb. Has this aspect of the Eurodam really gone downhill as much as reviews would have you believe?? Thank you for any helpful responses! Our decision is hanging in the balance right now!
