  1. I have received a few via Fedex from Singapore (not through CA). One did arrive from CA. When the first arrived from Singapore I kept thinking this can not be cost effective.
  2. I have been to Tracy Arm 5x via cruise ship. I have yet to see the glacier at the end. Give me Glacier Bay any day!
  3. I have been waiting for these! Surprised they are still in Galveston.
  4. It would benefit Princess to keep the program as it is as they get money to hold until people cruise. Not everyone lives near a cruise port.
  5. I have been on multiple lines and would not do Royal Caribbean again. They were my least favorite in Alaska I am guessing they are cheapest because they don't go there. Glacier Bay via air is definitely a different site than via ship. Both good but different. Princess and Holland are the most popular and there is a reason for it. I also agree with Hubbard being missed frequently in May. So is Tracy Arm. Glacier Bay makes the most sense. Expand your horizons and look at other lines.
  6. I was told the same thing. There is only about 20-25 minutes on that excursion where the scenery is stunning and different than what you see from the ship.
  7. I also highly recommend the 26 Glacier Tour. We often do B2B from Vancouver to Whittier and back and also do this glacier tour and try to do Adventure Bound also. Never tire of glaciers especially up close.
  8. Congratulations on missing everything Seward has to offer except for the train ride. Anyone that prefers cities probably shouldn't be vacationing in Alaska. Alaska is all about exterior beauty and Seward is one of the best places to experience this. Seward is the one town that I enjoy spending several days in before and after a cruise. Anchorage has very little to offer to tourists.
  9. This is not the busiest week for travel agents. Give your cruise planner a break if they did indeed go on vacation.
  10. Thanks for the great pictures. Glad you have internet again.
  11. Thanks for great review. Will be on the ship soon. Can you post the officers?
  12. I thought it was a waste of money. I would never recommend it or go on it again. I am glad it wasn't my first time in Alaska as there are far better excursions to go on. There is only one lighthouse and you pass it on your way into Ketchikan and it isn't even a great looking lighthouse. The totem poles you pass from a good distance and are from Totem Bight park. The rest of the scenery is nothing unique. I would suggest going to Totem Bight park if you are interested in totem poles. There are eagles everywhere so this wasn't unique to this tour.
