As a nurse, the main concern with unvaxxinated guests may be that they are more prone to getting more seriously ill. Not every case, but possible. They do have a medical center onboard, but I'm sure they do not want to be dealing with many serious cases at one time. Being vaccinated does not guarantee less severe case either, but tends to be that way.

Has anyone done this excursion who can tell us why it’s rated as “strenuous”? Would it be better to do the spice beach excursion and just snorkel on our own off the beach? We’re 50 something couple not in the best shape, but have done snorkel excursions in St Criox and St Martin and enjoyed both and did fine.

Update: I did get incorrect info from my Dads wife for the necklace, but now have the correct sheet. I don’t think the paperwork matters at this point. Of course it states that the necklace is worth way more than I was quoted at a local jeweler this morning, but I will take it a couple more places and see what they say and what they will charge to sell it on commission for me. I would then take part of the proceeds and buy myself something more to my tastes if it all works out.

Our cruise has gone up in price for balcony guarantee. Our cabin still has not been assigned yet, so we’ll see what we get!

I have been gifted a nice looking emerald necklace by my Fathers wife. He bought it for her on a cruise. I have no interest or desire to keep it due emotions and history that I will not get into here. 😉 I have the original paperwork that shows it was bought on a HAL ship. I am thinking that it’s probably not worth the amount the paperwork claims it is. The papers also indicate that this was originally a ring, but as it stands now, it has been made into a pendant on a gold chain. What would be the most reasonable recommendation of what to do with this? Should I take it somewhere local to me and have it appraised and see what I can get for it? Should I take it with me on my next cruise and see if I can trade it for something more appealing to me and without the negative attachment? Any other ideas? Thank you for any advice you can give me! 😊

I would be disappointed for sure, but I sure as heck would not want to go near a hurricane! Jamaica is our least favorite port, but we love Coco Cay. We’d stay onboard in Jamaica and enjoy the pool!
