I'm with Nancy. Have sailed her 5 times with 2 more booked. I was on her in Jan. I personally have never had problems with the embarkation because I have always been dropped off at the port (whether it a taxi or my husband). Debarkation this past Jan. my friend and I stayed on to the very end (we were waiting for her husband to drive from Myrtle to get us) and they actually kicked us off. It was around 9:30 or so.
Hopefully they will be able to get started on the new terminal at some point (got to love the people who moved to the area and think they know what is best - even though Charleston has always been a port city).
When I go this coming Jan. I will be going to Little Stirrup which I have never been too so looking forward to it. Have been to Nassau 5x and really don't get off the ship unless I'm going to a casino (same with Freeport). Really like the 7 days (going in march) with Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay.
The staff are great and even though she is an old ship she is in great shape.
P.S. Nancy miss u and Andrew

When I went on the Fantasy in Jan. I went with the plans of doing nothing (this was a total relaxation trip). My friend had never been to Freeport so we did get off the ship (just stayed at port) so she could do some picture taking and buy a few things for her kids.
This coming Jan. I will be back on the Fantasy (w/out husbands again) and don't plan on anything in Nassau but will get off the ship in Little Stirrup Cay - will enjoy the beach (no swimming as will probably be too cold) but just enjoy the ocean and maybe walking the beach

You can take the wine and the soda. Just make sure it's in your carry on

Never stayed in an interior but don't recall it being larger than the port hole or ocean view. The room itself is larger. Now the grand suites the bathroom is larger because it does have a tub.
-
Fantasy because it's closer to my house.
If you want a balcony I would go with the Fascination. The fantasy does not have these unless you book a suite.
-
Yes I have and have another booked.
The balconies are very small but there is one and the rooms are larger. The only reason we have another one booked is there are 3 of us and the ocean views have the pull down bunk where the jr. suite has the couch for the extra bed. None of us wants to/can sleep on the upper bunk so we have the suite for the couch.
What else would you like to know?

I"ve been on the Fantasy 5x already and have 1 booked for Jan. and also for the 7 day in March. Can't wait to get back on her

Out of 6 cruises I have seen someone I know on 2. The 1st time was a guy I grew up with (his sisters & I are were great friends) and hadn't seen him in over 25 years - he was with his wife. The 2nd time I saw a couple of people from the elementary school my boys had went to. Been a few years since we had seen each other (my boys are in college now).

The beach that you are 1st at is built by Carnival (I know you can take excursions to other beaches). We took water off with us in March. We had a drink from the roving waiters and don't remember them being that high (no more than on ship and other ports). As for food I purchased the jerk chicken plate they were making outside of the bar area. It was like 10.00 for 1/2 a chicken, rice, fried plantains. It was really good. Don't know if they do this each time or not. A friend ordered food from the bar/eating area and not sure of the price but she did not come back and complain that it was really high.

I have cruised on the Fantasy 5x in last few years and once on Legend (spirit class ship). I LOVE the Fantasy. I actually prefer it over the Legend as everything is together (all activities - casino, disco, clubs, theater - are all on same floor). On Legend they were all on different floors (nothing was together). I am going to be on the Fantasy in Jan. and Mar. of next year so that tells how much I like it. yes the only way to get a balcony is a suite but without the balcony I am up on deck watching all the activities going on (no I don't join in as I love to watch instead). Even though they are the oldest ships they are in great shape and have much to do

I just asked my room steward the last 2 cruises. 1st cruise she told me to call room service and the 2nd cruise he (the room steward) took care of it. They brought a small one and I just left it in the room when done (they do reuse them)

Nancy:
I am so sorry to hear about The Andrew. I'm so glad I got to meet you both and be there at the Unwedding. I still have all the pictures. You are in my thoughts and know the ceremony on the ship will be heart felt and beautiful. He will always be with you.
Please take care of yourself.

I was on Legend 3 years ago so my info is too old. I'll be on her again on 6APR so I'll know then. Lol. I will say that if you want a clamshell in the serenity area you better get out there super early and be prepared to stay

I would bring the individual (which is what I do as I use sugar free - I'm diabetic - french vanilla. The big bottles need to be kept cold and the refrigerators in room are more like coolers in temp. Plus it's easier to carry the little individual ones to the lido and not have to go back to room to put big bottle.

Just did it in Jan. and you got a card with the charm and it had recipes on it. It was $17.00 and you got to pick 4 of the 8 martinis. I enjoyed doing this

I have a CPap and have never used water (for my last one they asked if I wanted the water part and I declined). My mom also uses a CPap and while cruising she just takes off the water part and uses it w./out.

Yes unfortunately the sushi spot is gone and replaced with the Tasting. Out of the 5 days they were only there 3 days and was not impressed with it.

I would go see the Maitre-D when you get on board. They ask for your room # when you are being seated so they know if you have anytime dining or not and do not let you dine if you don't. The Maitre-D may be able to make the change for you

Anybody been on Fantasy recently and went to piano bar? Would love to know who and how the singer/player is. We will be on the 2/11 cruise. Thanks!
Yes his name is Rob. I went to the tea (on sea day) which is held in the piano bar and he was playing. I enjoyed listening to him. I never went at night though (as I was usually in casino)

Andy - Had a great cruise. It was pretty cool (only shorts 1 day and sweat jacket all days) but compared to other places not bad.
The sailing was very calm until the final sea day and it started to really rock and roll. Quite a few sick people on board. up until that time it was like sailing on glass.

Did you do the brunch?
Nancy I did and did take a picture. It's on my tablet and just have to figure out how to get it on here. Give me another day and will have it posted for you. Just haven't had time to figure it out.

If you are up around the gym and locker rooms. Would you mind checking to see if the womens sauna and steam room are connected to the locker room or if you have to go out into a "public" hallway. Thank you and have a wonderful cruise!
It's a public hallway.

No very little menu. Some sandwiches, salad, and cookies/cake. Breakfast items are continental (cereal, toast, bagels, coffee, juice)
