  1. Thank you for the review! You’ve confirmed that we should avoid ordering waffles, be ready for a tiny bathroom in our YC Inside cabin, and be patient with others storming the elevators. I also gathered from CC that we should reserve our show times and massage times early. We are ready to deal with those things and enjoy all the positives! We have a leisurely week of sleeping in, sun, spa time, shows and casino planned (no kids this trip). Did you yourself get a massage? Did you rent a cabana?

  2. We booked the Couples Golden Jasmine package - 3 massages and 1 facial each for $550 I think. This was too great a value to pass up, though I’m not sure my husband will be excited about a facial! I’ll post a spa review after we sail in June.

  3. I’ve read about Arthur a lot, any other favorite waiters? Who would you request if you were boarding in YC in a few weeks? ;)

Our last few cruises have been anytime type of dining, always with a different waiter. We are looking forward to going back to having the same waiter every night and getting to know him/her.

  4. Outside of the mainland USA? I am sure that our Canadian neighbors and other posters from other countries appreciate this statement.

If someone needs the Hep A and B vaccine , checking one month ahead of time will not be any good.

If you are a doctor, you know that to complete that series of three at least seven months is needed (shot one, shot two one month later, and shot three six months after shot two).

However, for the itinerary listed by the OP , there are no required vaccinations.

I should have clarified that I practice in the US and of course meant no offense to posters from any other countries. However, it is common practice to recommend Hepatitis A vaccine to US residents who frequently travel out of the country. Hep A vaccine has two doses, and has nothing to do with Hep B. One dose of Hep A vaccine does in fact offer some immunity, especially if given at least 3-4 weeks prior to travel. There ARE recommended vaccinations for the OP’s itinerary posted at cdc.gov. While most people don’t bother, if the OP is concerned, it’s reasonable to get them - especially with continued post-hurricane conditions.

  5. CDC.gov does list some recommended ones. I’m a family practice doctor and always recommend hepatitis A vaccine to anyone traveling out of main land U.S. If you have chronic health conditions, vaccines are more important. Check with your doctor at least a month before you leave.

  6. Thank you for the review! We will be in an inside YC in June, and knew that the bathroom was awfully small and awkward. Since we are planning to use the spa a lot, we may try to plan our time there to include showers before dinner. Did you use the spa at all?

  7. Has anyone purchased one of the MSC spa packages for couples that you can buy pre-cruise? Did you like it? Were the services easy to book?

We are looking at the “Golden Jasmine x 2” package for the Seaside and wondering if the services are provided side-by-side or if you book times separately.
