  1. Thank you so much for posting! My husband will love Italian cold cuts for breakfast. The dishes of olives and little sweets look good, too. I like the menu - just hope the food is good quality. We enjoy a big colorful salad everyday, and that seems to be one thing we will miss, YC or not.

  2. We are trying the Seaside YC with our family of 5 together in one cabin next year. Space will be tight, but the kids are old enough to spend their days on the slides and we can relax at the quiet pool. I like the idea of having them meet some kids from other countries, and the idea of a big ship to explore while still having a calmer area to retreat to. Reviews are mixed, I agree. The YC reviews seem positive.

  3. Great cabin. Great location. Super quiet. Just remember storage space is super tight. This goes for all the cabins onboard except suites. First time ever we had to use the space under the bed. We lined up our shoes there to give us more space in the closet.

We are planning to pack less than usual and get a laundry package. I'll also try to limit my shoes (hard to do for me!). We don't plan to spend much time in the cabin, so a small space is ok. I was glad to see lots of indoor and outdoor seating in the public areas of the YC.

  4. Enjoy and tell us about it! We are in an inside YC in June. We also added our 5 percent off from status match after the fact - it was no problem. Booking extras on the website doesn't seem to work well, but actually Celebrity's website was much more frustrating with our last cruise.

  5. As Americans probably aren't the majority on board I wouldn't expect every single public screen to be showing the Super Bowl. They have to please many nationalities. I do think that price sounds outrageous for wings and drinks in a bar booth, and they would be smart to have a no added cost Super Bowl party for those who can't imagine missing it. I'll be curious to see if someone can post an image advertising this.

  6. Yes, most lines will only give one drink out at a time to prevent drink-package sharing. It is understandable. But, it sounds like that server could use some customer service training in how to handle the situation. If it's a rule, then gently explain it and smile and still give good service. If it's not a rule, bring on the espressos!

  7. The easier way is using a good TA. Preferably with their own bonuses to you like extra obc or free gratuities. They handle this kind of problem all the time.

It’s not too late to transfer your booking to a TA and have them handle this.

I agree. We found the price dropped $900 on our cruise, but we were nervous we could lose our YC inside cabin. We had a travel agent take over the booking and call MSC to cancel and rebook immediately. We ended up in the same room. :)

  8. Thank you for this excellent video. I'm anxious to read your full review. I don't mind the lack of Fox News (or any news for that matter - I'm trying to forget all of it on vacation!). Unless every single show is opera, I think we will enjoy trying something new. I will interested to see if your low rating of your experience was also due to service problems or the oft-mentioned smell issue. Thank you again for your videos and reviews! My 9 year old son is obsessed with cruising and he knows you by name from your YouTube videos.

  9. Thank you for the detailed and balanced review! Glad you had a great cruise. Reviews like this will help us find our way on the Seaside right away, and hopefully avoid their weak guest services desk. It sounds like if you are open, positive, and don't have major issues that you need customer service help with - you will have a wonderful time. Of course, that is true for many cruise lines I think! I will also be annoyed if staff are pestering us around the ship to come to the specialty restaurants. I noticed that happening when we walked by the specialty restaurants on the Celebrity Equinox last year, but only at their entrances.

  10. Thank you for your comments. It helps me know what to expect! Another poster said that the concierge was able to help with the booking of shows, but it sounds like that isn't always the case. Have a wonderful cruise!
