  1. I submitted a similar request about an hour ago for our upcoming May voyage on QM2 and received a prompt reply. There are several "TBA" slots, especially on our crossing back to New York where they only list two speakers so far, but it's good to know this information is also available on request for us minions.
  2. That bug has been around for at least a year, maybe more, in one form or another. If you scroll to the top of the screen after you have submitted your emergency contact information, you will probably see a faint red error message telling you "Invalid Emergency Contact Address - State". The bug appears to manifest itself differently for different people. Since that error message I get mentions "State", it may be more prevalent for those in the US. In my case, I am able to enter my emergency contact information (as the lead passenger) but I am not able to enter it for my wife (as the second passenger on the same booking). Once I've entered my emergency contact information, I can't change it. Any attempt to enter the emergency contact information for my wife or to change my own emergency contact information is met with that error message "Invalid Emergency Contact Address - State". It does boggle the mind that a bug like this can go on for so long.
  3. No opportunity to book anything for our upcoming QM2 cruise yet. It tells me "You will be able to make reservations from April 16th 2023." That's exactly 14 days prior to our April 30 departure date. I'll be interested to see then which themes will have active links to book (or attempt to book).
  4. Do you see the full list of themes (Coriander, La Piazza, Riviera, Bamboo, Frontier and Nordlys) for your voyage? That's what I'm seeing for our upcoming May voyage on QM2. My take on this is that the personaliser (My Cunard) is simply listing all the possible themes for all ships and all itineraries. If you have a more limited list in the personaliser for your voyage, I'll have to revise that assumption.
  5. Here is the list of themes I have for at the Lido Alternative Dining venue on QV. "Frontier (Alaska only), Nordlys (Norway only), Riviera (Med only), Bamboo, Coriander" Cunard no longer offers the American theme "Smokehouse" or the Mexican theme "Aztec". I'm a bit surprised to see the Italian theme "La Piazza" is not on this list. That's one of the standard themes on QM2. Maybe that's just an oversight on that list of themes I have for QV. And obviously the Frontier theme wouldn't apply to QV since only QE does Alaska itineraries. Since you mentioned you are sailing in June to the North Cape, I would expect the "Nordlys" theme would apply to your cruise. Check the "Dining" link for your booking in My Cunard. You should see a section for Alternative Dining with the full list of themes offered on all the ships, not just the themes being offered on your cruise. That section includes links to the menus for each of the themes after you select "See details" for each of them.
  6. Thank you very much, @Solent Richard. We can now move both Puerto Princesa, Philippines and Kaohsiung, Taiwan from our "unseen" Cunard ports list to our "seen" list. Welcome back to our game!
  7. I can help with the gala evenings (formal nights) for your cruise and their themes. You can find your dress code and theme schedule listed within the Day Calendar section for your booking in My Cunard. Here is when I have been told the gala evenings will be held on your cruise and what their themes will be. 16 May: Black and White 18 May: Masquerade 22 May: Red and Gold Please do double check what is listed in your Day Calendar in My Cunard though just to make sure I have that correct.
  8. The shareholder benefit is renewed each year as part of the Carnival Corporation & plc Annual Report issued February/March. Each year the benefit is extended to sailings through July 31 of the following year with reservations to be made by February 28 of that year. Currently the shareholder benefit has been extended to sailings through July 31, 2024 with reservations to be made by February 28, 2024. Assuming the benefit is extended again next February/March, the benefit should then apply to sailings through July 31, 2025 with reservations to be made by February 28, 2025. Those dates are basically a moving target with no practical limitation unless the benefit should not be renewed for whatever reason.
  9. The form is not required. I include the information which is requested on the "Carnival Corporation & plc Shareholder Benefit" page within the text of the email message. - Complete legal name - Reservation/booking number - Ship - Sailing date Then of course I also attach my proof of ownership of 100 shares of Carnival stock. In my case, that's the appropriate page from my brokerage statement with my mailing address and account number blacked out as instructed. If you wish to use the "Carnival shareholder benefit request form", here is what I have as a fillable PDF form for use in the US. ShareholderForm.pdf
  10. Just to follow up, I have seen a form to fill out which may be the same form they sent you. The one I have is a pdf form with Cunard logos titled "Carnival shareholder benefit request form." One of the options listed for returning the form is to email it to "sb@cunard.com". Where does your form say to send it? Or were you instructed to send it somewhere else?
  11. Your bounced email report is bizarre to say the least! I can't explain what happened other than a glitch or that they have very recently changed the process for the US. Here is a response I received from "sb@cunard.com" in February confirming the shareholder benefit request I sent to that email address. ======================================== From: Benefit, Shareholder (Cunard) <sb@cunard.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2023 11:16 AM To: My Name <myemail@mydomain.com>; Benefit, Shareholder (Cunard) <sb@cunard.com> Subject: RE: Cunard Shareholder Benefit Request Hello Thank you for submitting your documents, we have now applied the credit to your reservation. 12. QE called at Puerto Princesa, Philippines on April 9th. That may be a new Cunard port. At least it's not on either of our seen or unseen ports lists. I'm afraid I wasn't looking for possible webcam images showing QE there, but in retrospect I don't think I would have found one anyway. I will add Puerto Princesa to our unseen ports list. If anyone on board QE has a photo to contribute at some point, that would be great. Or if anyone has a photo of Puerto Princesa not taken on a Cunard cruise, that will be gratefully accepted as well.
  13. OK, I'll go ahead and identity this one now. This is a photo of Cardiff, Wales prompted by our recent discussion and research determining Cardiff had been a Cunard port in the past. We can now officially add Cardiff to our seen ports list. My previous mention of "something to do with St. David, possibly in more ways than one", is both a reference to St. David as the patron saint of Wales and my calculations that this photo was taken from one of the upper floors of the voco St. David's Cardiff Hotel.
  14. That's quite correct about how Cunard World Club credits are applied to the purchase of internet plans. Only the person who purchases a plan will have their credit applied to that purchase. It doesn't matter that another person on the same booking (and even merged into the same onboard account as far as I know) also has available credit. Unless that other person also purchases a plan at some point, their credit will go unused. I believe this is the gist of the issue @TheOldBear has mentioned. That's basically how the credits used to work with the old system where each person purchased plans according to how many complimentary minutes they received. That policy informs how we purchase internet plans to make the most of our credits. DW and I are both diamond CWC members so we each receive $135 internet credit. As an example, on a 12-night voyage one of us will make individual 24-hour purchases of the Essential plan (at $24 each) to cover the first five days. Then the other will purchase the Essential plan for the remaining seven days of the voyage (at $18 per day).
  15. To help clarify how Cunard's wifi pricing works, the wifi package prices do not go up once on board. What is offered on board is an additional option to purchase wifi in individual 24-segments rather than for all the remaining days of the voyage. Whether you purchase in advance or on board, the Essential plan is $18 per day and the Premium plan is $24 per day if you purchase those plans for all the remaining days of the voyage. The higher rates of $24 for the Essential plan and $36 for the Premium plan are if you decide once on board to only purchase those plans for individual blocks of 24 hours at a time (basically a pay-as-you-go option).
  16. Here's what the Easter Bunny brought me this year. This is from our favorite local candy store. Any Hotel Chocolat egg sightings this year?
  17. I think this photo may have something to do with St. David, possibly in more ways than one.
  18. The next maintenance for QM2 is presumably between October 22 and November 16, 2023. She finishes a crossing from New York to Hamburg on October 22, 2023 and resumes service with a cruise from Southampton on November 16, 2023. Here are some earlier threads on this topic.
  19. Ah, yes. Very good. I'll take a pass on identifying this one for now.
  20. For US guests, the email address for shareholder benefit applications is "sb@cunard.com". That's the email address listed for Cunard in the "North America Brands" column of the Carnival Corporation & plc Shareholder Benefit page. I have used it successfully several times. If you don't see that email address listed it may be because you have an old version of the Shareholder Benefit information. The ability for US guests to email shareholder benefit applications was just added within the last year.
  21. I'm afraid I've never found a way to print or download a detailed master list of Cunard shore excursions such as you can do with some other lines. I've been known to spend a lot of time copying/pasting/reformatting the details for each individual shore excursion into a Word document in order to have just such a master list available to peruse offline. I can suggest the "Explore my destination guides" link that can be found on the "Booking Summary" page in My Cunard underneath the itinerary map. I see @NE John has beaten to that suggestion. That allows you to create a PDF file for the entire cruise with all the detail found in that guide. That destination guide does list some of the shore excursions offered. Unfortunately, I've found the list isn't necessarily in agreement with the complete list of excursions offered at each port in My Cunard. Also, it doesn't provide anything beyond a one sentence description of each excursion. And the destination guide for our upcoming Norway cruise hasn't kept up with an itinerary change made months ago (it still thinks we are calling at Flam). Finally, there is a lot of information in the destination guide beyond shore excursions so it's not really conducive to obtaining a printout of just shore excursions.
  22. It depends on the direction of the crossing. For eastbound crossings, where the clock moves ahead, the time change occurs at noon. The clock is advanced from noon to 1:00pm on five of the days during an eastbound crossing. For westbound crossings, where the clock moves back, the time change occurs during the night. The clock is moved back from 2:00am to 1:00am on five of the nights during a westbound crossing. One bit of clock change trivia. If you happen to be on a crossing that sails between the dates the US and the UK adjust their clocks on/off Daylight Saving Time/British Summer Time, you could find your crossing only has to adjust the clock four times rather than five. We've been on one such crossing that sailed from New York in late October before the US changed back from Daylight Saving Time but the UK had changed back from British Summer Time before we arrived in Southampton in early November. The same phenomenon can happen in Spring if you sail after the US has moved forward to Daylight Saving Time but before the UK has moved forward to British Summer Time.
  23. I fear you may be disappointed about the merchandise sales situation on Cunard. QM2 is not immune from having sales tables set up outside the shops and sometimes along the corridor between the shops and Sir Samuels/Chart Room. One day on each voyage is likely to be a sale of Cunard logo merchandise at those tables including tee shirts.
  24. Here's an earlier thread with photos discussing how the third and fourth berths drop down from the ceiling in the QM2 inside cabins that accommodate four passengers.
  25. I have a follow-up question for those who have been on Mediterranean or Norwegian cruises since Cunard introduced the Riviera and Nordlys menus. Were those themes added to the mix along with the other themes (Coriander, La Piazza and Bamboo)? Or were the Riviera or Nordlys themes the only ones offered during your time in the Mediterranean or Norway?
