    White Night

FWIW, we rarely attend this event anymore. It’s held in the Cove/atrium. The acoustics are abysmal. It’s overamplified and painfully loud. Many people enjoy this entertainment event. Fortunately, there are plenty of other options for those seeking an alternative entertainment. Definitely do not obsess about clothing color. The staff wears white. The guests wear what they feel comfortable wearing. Rob
  3. Tomorrow’s menu and Reflections attached. Tonight’s featured Galaxy main stage, Marco Romano. Wow. Well deserved standing ovation. Rob 07B28079-B5C5-47D0-B520-1F9533A0DB25.pdf B79FA9D8-638C-48CC-89C2-287C4B0F0A39.pdf
  4. Sunset and Louis sings and the sailboat-as-prop frames the setting sun. Nice.
  5. Try a day pass. ResortPass.com offers various resort day pass options. Rob
  6. The sun returned this afternoon. Nice day in Gustavia.

  8. For those that find the ship’s port guides useful, they are available every day at the shore excursions desk. A copy of today’s guide is attached as an example. Rob Castries.pdf
  9. Parting shot. Made it back onboard before the afternoon tropical deluge soaking. Rob
  10. In case you haven’t gotten your daily supply of fresh veggies.
  11. We’re onboard now. Been checking itineraries and rates with onboard cruise consultant. The upgrade offer + 2.5% onboard discount + 2.5% Society discount + 5% b2b discount + applying the EI bankruptcy promotion creates some very good per diem values. The onboard consultants work in “real time” pricing and availability. They are very knowledgeable. We also work with a very seasoned and experienced TA. Based on my observations of the number of pax waiting to speak with the two onboard consultants, it appears future business may be brisk. There appears to be an ongoing optimism among senior staff onboard that by end of this year, most sailings will be full or very close to full, based on advanced bookings to date. Rob
  12. Docked in St. Lucia today. FWIW, there’s a significant delivery of new outdoor furniture, crates of miscellaneous electronics and other mechanical-looking parts and pieces. And an equal removal of discarded furniture, electronics, recycling and other debris. Rob

  14. For those that are interested, here’s this afternoon’s snack. Rob
  15. Glad you’re enjoying, Ivi. Today Jim & I hiked around the bend, over the hills and down this steep path to a lovely little beach. Pretty much had the place to ourselves. Anse Pain du Sucre. Nice day. 🌞🌞
  16. Here’s a couple of pics of yesterdays house fire as we were leaving Antigua. Rob

  18. Love the Opihr. And the Thomas Dakin. We agree. 😁😁
  19. Dwight, surprisingly there are some of these sampler gins in the cabins but not in the bars. And vice versa. No telling. There’s enough gin onboard to submerge the entire UK. There is a new Crystal app that can be downloaded once onboard. The computer guy did it for us in about 10 seconds. I’m not sure it can be downloaded until onboard. Rob
  20. Terry, Aquamarine and up get them automatically. Not certain about the other categories. Lots of other new gins in the bars, too. Rob
  21. For those that enjoy a wee bit of gin sampling in your suite (or discreetly on your balcony), the sampler selection keeps multiplying. These are in addition to the regularly replenished supply of bourbon, vodka, wine, beers and soft drinks. Most of these gins, but not all, are also available in the bars. We were not familiar with many of these gins. I assure you, they are not going to waste. 🍸🍸 Rob
  22. The electronic version of today’s reflections wouldn’t load, so I scanned it. Sorry about the quality. Rob Reflections.pdf
  23. We have an early tour tomorrow in Antigua, so posting tomorrow’s menu tonight. The electronic version of tomorrow’s Reflections is not yet available. The Prego carpacccio is on offer tomorrow. Choices, choices… Rob 5D6E62A4-9936-45B1-B270-E4E0590CA31C.pdf
  24. When you’re onboard and the “cotton candy” dessert is on the menu, run, do not walk, do not “pass go”, etc. etc. The presentation itself is worth its own video. Even if you don’t like sweets, it’s worth the visual. (Sorry, but I don’t bring my phone to dinner, or I’d record it.) Rob
