  1. I'm not understanding, i guess. To add streaming to FAS+, it should only be $10 pp/pd. This is the only thing I'm trying to do and NCL seems to want to reprice my reservation for that. I know how to upgrade wifi on its own, but in true NCL fashion, they don't make including streaming in the FAS+ easy. I have a message into my TA, but he's away this weekend.
  2. I was hoping to avoid calling but i did and now I'm sorry. I got someone who managed to confuse the living day lights out of me. Instead of quoting me the add on price, she just kept quoting me the new price of my reservation, but i don't even have my invoice from my TA handy to see if that's the correct total new price. I don't understand why she couldn't just charge me the extra FAS plus + $10pp/pd extra for streaming. She got flustered when i said that makes no sense and i just wound up saying thank you and hanging up.
  3. I can upgrade the wifi to whatever we'd like, if we're just upgrading wifi. Are you saying that you're able to upgrade the Free at Sea Plus package from standard wifi to streaming on the website?
  4. Only regular wifi is in the app as part of the package. Is it possible to buy the normal packge and upgrade the wifi onboard? Trying to avoid a phone call if possible. Thanks
  5. I literally just got my shareholder credit this week and i went through a 3rd party TA.
  6. I'm wondering if you order your bottle in the Haven restaurant if they'll simply drop off the unfinished bottle to the Haven bar. Sounds like not, but in 12/2019 that's exactly what they did and the bartender tagged my bottle with my name for drinks in the lounge later.
  7. The only announcement i want to hear at 4:30am in my stateroom is one that affects me personally. End of.
  8. 😀 We must be watching different videos because I've only seen the standard stuff we were offered above. Maybe call the concierge to see if they can do better for the GV? Like i said, we're in a DOS, and that's what we were offered. Maybe you'd have more pull in the GV. Good luck!
  9. Kills me. On what other cruise line would Bailey's be an upcharge to a drink package? 🤪
  10. The GV gets 6 from a list. Though in my experience you can sub bottles if the replacement price is equivalent and they have availability onboard (e.g. we sub Vanilla Vodka for vodka). DOS and OS get 3 bottles. Here is the latest list i have (this month) for the DOS
  11. Hi, search was not a big help, so apologies in advance. I was wondering about the current retractable wall sitch on the Getaway between the OS and DOS. Newer videos show that wall is different, but i can't tell if they replaced that wall or simply painted it. Anyone have recent reports? TIA
  12. This would be tough for me. In my experience, I would price stalk for an upgrade possibility and bid on a 2-BR courtyard Haven instead in the event the price to upgrade outright was too high. Best of both worlds for your sitch. Here's my experience: We did 16116 on Breakaway (the category you currently have). Absolutely perfect location which is the only plus. Hated the bath/tub combo. If you have back, knee, or hip issues, def not the stateroom for you. That tub is quite high to step in and out of. Not a great room for in suite dining. Painfully small balcony. We've not stayed in the FF PH Haven stateroom, but have done 9316 on Breakaway as well (Haven aft). Loved the balcony and living room. However, we literally packed a backpack to hang out in the Haven during the day. We love a pre-dinner drink in the Haven as well so we would factor that in to our day, while in 16116, we'd just stop at the bar on our way out. We needed to make a conscious decision to spend time in the Haven when in that aft cabin. The FF is at least forward like Haven proper is forward so not the hike we had from aft. So for you, i think i recommend Deck 11 in the FF if the 2BR is out of the picture.
  13. We've discussed this, but just a reminder to consistently check prices, both for min upgrade bids and booking outright. My min upgrade bid from H3 to H2 has remained $800 pp, but the price of the H2 has gone down $300 pp when booking outright. We don't need the H2 by any means, but i do love playing the numbers game.
  14. Like you, we're happy with what we have. There's only 2 of us, so all the extra space isn't worth much of a premium to us. I just thought that the min bid was a bit high from H3 to H2. Don't think we'll even bother, unless the min bid somehow decreases. Amazing too how many don't do research before bidding. Had a friend already booked in a Courtyard Haven room on Escape. Bid $1200pp for the 2BR Haven suite and promptly won. Didn't have the heart to tell her she could've upgraded outright and picked her own stateroom for $1k total.
  15. We are in an H3 on Getaway. Min bid to H2 (both still available while H3s are both sold out) is $800 pp. We could've upgraded outright for $1800. Not sure it's worth the min bid we'd likely not get anyway.
  16. Oh thanks. I didn't even realize that was part of the current promo. 😳
  17. We booked Aug 14 for a Nov cruise, and received our Haven Welcome letter on the 15th, the next day. Not sure if this was because we are in an OS? The welcome letter also contained a link for our in-room bottle preferences.
  18. I've never found this, but maybe we've been lucky. We just used 2 CN certs this week for a cruise in November. Final was due the day we booked.
  19. Interesting. I was just getting my shareholder proof to send when i wandered over here and saw your post. I was a shareholder at the time i booked (still am), but nothing is on our account, and our cruise is before yours. Guess i will still apply as normal. Happy cruising. 😊
  20. I never said they were Pinnacles. I was schooled though while waiting in line to enter the lounge. I said to my hubby, "wow, there are a lot more suites on this ship than i thought" or something like that. I was told by my queuing neighbors that if you had enough status, it was a perk. I never pay attention to key cards so i couldn't tell you (nor do i care or ask them their status) if they were D or D+. But it was a really bad decision that meant the perks were watered down for everyone. It was a huge, overpriced disappointment. We found suite value in other lines and sailed elsewhere, until they made some corrections.
  21. +1 We were experienced suite cruisers when we tried Royal for the first time in a suite. It was worse than abysmal. Lines out the door during happy hour. No where to sit. Overflow lounge didn't help. Concierge absolutely overwhelmed to the point they couldn't help everyone. I was left wondering why we paid the premium for the suite, apart from the extra space. I let them know that in the post cruise survey and doesn't come back for 11 years later, when they made some nominal changes. When you combine loyalty/suite/casinos perks, it just results in watered down perks for everyone.
  22. That's ridiculous. We never book with the intention of canceling, but life happens. I don't see us booking suites anymore, unless it's last minute. Maybe that's what they want. Even airlines offer you the ability to change for a fee. Disney has had nonrefundable deposits on suites for years, but you could always change dates.
