Not a big deal but I was just curious. Thanks!!

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I could not find it. If one adult in a cabin cannot drink due to medical reasons and provides a notice of such from a doctor, can the remaining adult in the cabin buy the cheers program? Specifically we'll be on Triumph 4 day in March. I've emailed Carnival but have not heard back.

Also a Nachi fan here!! Love their food and beach!

No, they don't sell diapers or other baby items on Carnival. That is the big reason we sailed with Royal Caribbean while we had babies...they had play groups, we ordered diapers, wipes, baby food all ahead so we didn't have to pack it. Very convenient! I'd pack more than you need of everything!

Sadly she will probably win or at least settle for a large amount of money even though she was entirely responsible for what happened. The other cruisers should sue her for emotional distress and ruining their cruises. Not really...that was sarcasm, but I won't be surprised if that happens as well. Yep, 'murica!

It'd be nice to have a cruising movie about a ship that doesn't sink!
The ship doesn't sink in Chipwrecked :)

My understanding is that once Gold you remain Gold. You don't drop back to Red.
(sorry for the Hijack)
I went from gold to red when they changed the points system but now back to gold. I didn't really care though since there really are no perks at these levels. I guess I only missed out on the Past Guest party but wouldn't have attended anyways.

Take a certified taxi from the port to Sunset Beach Resort...it's literally a couple blocks from the port and a 5 min $5 taxi ride. For $50/adult and less for your kid (can't recall child rate) you can have an all inclusive day which includes all food and drinks. There are a few different beaches, waterpark and pools at this resort. We took our son and had an amazing day there!

We've been 3 times and love it! The service, food, drinks and atmosphere can't be beat. We've tried other beach clubs but none compare for us.

We tried walking talkies on our first cruise and we were annoyed by kids getting on the same channel and messing with us :) was like a game for them!!

There's no written rule to this but it's been our experience that they put us through faster when we have an infant in a stroller. Also when getting off the ship they allow us on elevators instead of taking escalators.

No you cannot purchase for only one day, yes it is good for drinks of the day (all drinks), your vodka will likely be found in your luggage, and cheers is $50/day and anyone over 21 in the same cabin must purchase.

1, 3 and 4 are really nice...the others would be appropriate but just not a fan. Wear what makes you feel great and DH likes!!

We've only done Western Caribbean itinerary but always get off the ship. In Jamaica we did a plantation tour with lunch and my son (11 mo at the time) loved the music they played :D. We also loved Sunset Beach Resort in MoBay (son 2.5yr at the time). Cayman we've just walked around the port area and done a day pass at the Westin which was great (son was 4yr and daughter 10 mo). In Cozumel we've done shopping in town, Chankanauub and Nachi Cocom beach days with the kids (range of ages both starting around 10 mo). Never had a problem with taxis, tenders or anything! My kids enjoy playing in the sand and we always like to have a pool option.

You really should be more upset that the platinum perks kinda stink compared to other lines. Everyone is selling convenience these days...can't fault Carnival for doing the same! You still have other perks that FTTF doesn't include, so I don't get the frustration.

We visit the steakhouse on all cruises we take (Carnival and RC so far) and they are way superior to MDR steak. You can also do surf and turf. Price includes starter, soup/salad, main and sides, and dessert. Also drink (water or tea, wine or soda will be extra) and bread are included. It's too much to eat and WELL worth the minimal charge!

Do either of these beaches have good snorkeling?
Not really...you'll likely see a few small fish, crab or we even saw a small stingray at Nachi in November but typically these beach clubs are more "sandy" and you want rocky for better snorkel. Chaunkannaub or playa Palancar would be better.

It really depends on what type of beach day you want and how old the kids are. Nachi Cocom is more quiet, only allows 100 people so not crowded, and doesn't have water toys (well, they have one large water trampoline the kids can play on). It is an all inclusive, so all drinks and 4 course meal are included in your price. Mr. Sanchos is more crowded, a little louder party scene, and has large floating water toys that look great for bigger kids but might be difficult for little kids. They have a pay as you go plan or all inclusive. We prefer Nachi since our kids are little and can't use the water toys at Sanchos...and we love the peaceful beach day! But teens would probably get bored.

We had an aft wrap on our last cruise with our 4 year old and 10 month old. It was a different line, but sure RC would be similar. It has plenty of space and the bath tub was great to have!!

Correct, you now use your sail and sign in the laundry. They do sell detergent and fabric softener, but I don't recall the prices on them since I brought a couple of the Tide "pods" and dryer sheets with me. It's $3 per load in the wash and dryer. I found that I had to dry for 2 cycles, so it cost $9 per load.
