  1. While on the subject of transferring OBC, can someone tell me if it is possible to transfer OBC from one cruise to another. I have too much OBC on one and not enough on another. Yes, I can ask Princess but would appreciate any knowledge from fellow cruisers.

  2. I can't answer the second part of your post but in relation to booking excursions, I recently booked excursions for an upcoming cruise and yes it was costed against my OBC and as I didn't have enough OBC I had to pay the difference.

  3. The other problem I have with the lanyard is that you have to be careful If you are using an iPad as it will demagnetise your card ( I think that is the terminology) and you will have to get a new card so be careful if using an iPad.

  4. From Famski740

You both will get the minutes (250 each) but this is for one device at a time.  If you both sign on then you each get 250 minutes on one device each.  My wife does not use the internet so when cruising, I will sign on and use my 250 minutes and when I run out of minutes I then sign on to my wife's account and use her 250 minutes.

This is exactly how we use it and if you essentially just want to check emails/write emails etc and do a little more on the internet you will find it is sufficient. I have never had to purchase additional minutes. Just make sure you logout correctly and if you see you are having problems with your time clock not stopping after you logout go and see the internet guy. I have always found them great to deal with.

  5. From personal experience. Carry a letter from your doctor listing your prescription medication and there will be no problem but you MUST declare that you are carrying medication/drugs. If you are not surer about anything - declare it - it is easier to explain after declaring, than it is trying to think that you can get away with something.

Be very careful carrying any food as it will be problem for you. My wife (and we are Australian citizens - born and bred here) took a sealed and unopened packet of biscuits away with us (from Australia) and forgot that she still had them in her bag when she returned. Wow! was she given the third degree!!!  Even though they were still sealed and unopened customs were not at all interested to hear that they were actually purchased in Australia. Needless to say it has never happened to us again

  6. Just a little off topic. Yes, I have been on numerous cruises (mainly Princess) and yes the Sea Princess but have never used the gyms. Have recently started using the gym where I live so will want to continue this while on board my next cruise. The question. Is there a fee for using the gym? Mainly interested in Princess ships.

  7. While this is not really on the topic, things just seem to be getting a little harder all the time. I recently went on line to get Travel Insurance from my usual Travel Insurance company for a cruise departing in November only to be told that as I am now over 75 cover is not available until 120 days before departure. So much for having your deposit covered.

  8. Don't do it!!!!!!!

No, just joking. Have just celebrated our 46th and don't regret a minute. Congratulations. I'm fairly conservative but I think I would consider a specialty dining experience (table for 2). Hope you both enjoy it anyway. I am sure you will.
