Good Morning from a sunny and warm day at the beach The ocean is really churning and the surf is high. Many rips are present. Sure hope people are careful. Havent posted the last few days but have read the posts. All is quiet which is very good. @Cruising-along Have a wonderful trip. @kazu Been thinking about you. It is a lot of work to prep for a hurricane. Stay safe and hope the damage is minimal. My sister lives just north of Boston and has a home on Cape Cod. Her DH has gone to the Cape to ride out the storm. Hopefully all will be well at both locations. @mamaofami Extra prayers for Sam today. Today is a day we should always remember. All of us have memories of that terrible day. DH was in Seattle on business. He and his coworker drove back across the country with complete strangers, one of whom is still a friend. My neighbor was a NY firefighter who lost several of his fellow firefighters. He became the standin Dad for several children. He and his wife always attended their events and are now attending all the weddings. He never talks about it. My brother lost his boss and the boss`s wife on a plane from Dulles. My cousin`s childhood friend was on a plane from Boston. Today and all days I will keep them all in my thoughts and prayers. Good Morning from a sunny and warm day at the beach Grandparents are very special. I was fortunate to have known 3 of mine. All very different and I feel they shaped who I am today. Used to do my sewing than I do now. Still have my sewing machine. Should pull it out and make something. My neighbor has this new fancy thing that does everything. It is amazing. We had another rocket launch this AM. It was great to see and there were lots of people on the beach to watch. Never gets old. Heard yesterday that the new Disney ship will be homeported here. It will be a very busy port. I wish the new train would stop here but it is whizzing right by. Poor planning I think. But they didn't ask me. Hope everyone has a reloaxing Sunday. Good Afternoon from a currently sunny and warm day at the beach Played golf this morning so I am late today. Teddy Bears are my favorite and still have a few special ones. Not really a sudoku player and what's a "wonderful weirdo?? Guess it depends on the definition! LOL @cat shepard Thanks for asking about me. We had some crazy weather yesterday that came out of nowhere. I was over on Merritt Island and saw the skies darkening. Weather on my phone said "cloudy". I thought it did not look good and headed for home. Just got here when all heck broke loose. Heavy rain, strong winds and golf ball sized hail. It was crazy! Lasted a few hours . I saw Brightline doing test runs the last few days, including this AM through Brevard County. Heard the new start date is 9/22 but cannot confirm.

Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach Was raining earlier but did not last long. We will be in the mid to high 90s this week. It is the way it is. The ocean temp also remains high. I dont like to be late and try to plan accordingly. sometime things happen and it is unavoidable. Drives me crazy when on an excursion, it is always that same person who is always late. Love cheese pizza but not today. Taking DD for a regular Doctor appointment today. She is well so there should not be any issues. Going out to dinner with friends tonite. Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach I have not been to the cinema in a very long time. Movies come out on DVD so quickly that I wait and watch them at home. Not a bowler and Sky scrapers are amazing but scary. None here. We have height restrictions so nothing is very tall. Another Spacex launch scheduled for tonite. Was hard to walk very far. We really enjoy eating outside and do most days. I do like trail mix. @Mr. Boston Have a wonderful trip. Good Morning from a very cloudy and windy day at the beach Thanks to all that are checking on us. We are all well. We are well east of the storm but expected to receive the outer bands. The ocean is really churning and not going to be a very nice day. Very concerned for those in the path of the storm. It looks very dangerous. Grief has many faces and there is no right or wrong way to react. After working in the ER for 25 years, I have seen every reaction from total hysteria to uncontrolled laughing. It is very individual. Just support the best you can and dont judge. Beaches are to be treasured and protected. I walk the beach almost every day. It is very relaxing and calming. Thanks for the port pictures. We will move some patio chairs and tables. Not complaining. My new dryer is scheduled to be delivered today. Yeah!! @StLouisCruisers Congratulations on 5 star! We are close, hopefully on the next cruise. Actually I liked reaching 4 star the best because of the free laundry. LOL Extra prayers for that precious Baby Murphy and her parents. Good Morning from a very warm and cloudy day at the beach We are currently not in the path of the storm. But if I have ever learned anything, you must watch as things can change in an instant. Port Canaveral announced they are fast tracking the building of 2 new parking garages. Badly needed. A new terminal is also coming to accommodate the 4 ships to be homeported there in 2024. They are currently dredging the channel and all the sand is coming here. Our beach looks a little lopsided right now. My dryer died yesterday. Not sure why so must get a new one today. I really do not like appliance shopping! Luckily for me, my wonderful sweet neighbor took my wet laundry. She brought it back all folded. Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene

Broome is a quaint little town. We enjoyed it very much. There are places to get out of the heat in the town. I use those cooling towels for golf. They work very well. You could refresh it in a restroom. Some people used those neck fans. Drink plenty of water and wear loose light colored clothes. I too like to see everyplace I can.

Good Afternoon from a sunny and warm say at the beach Storms were all around us yesterday but nothing here. Few sprinkles, that was it. I love potatoes in any variety or cooking method. We were in Broom this past fall on our Australia circumnavigation. It is a very hot small town. We took the shuttle into town and walked around. People are very friendly and welcoming. All wanted to talk about where you were from, etc. We were on the HAL transfer shuttle but port security held us up returning to the ship. They would not allow the bus through for some reason. We sat there in a very hot bus for almost an hour. Never did find out the reason. @dobiemom, @GTVCRUISER, @TiogaCruiser and all others in the path of Hillary, please be safe. Listen to the news reports and dont take unnecessary risks. These storms can change very quickly. I have lived with hurricanes and tropical storms for 35 years, so I know these things should not be taken lightly. Be safe and enjoy today Charlene

Good Morning from a warm and breezy day at the beach No thunderstorms here, all north of us. We had some showers that was it. Tropics are heating up so we will be watching the next month or so. Have been to St Thomas many times but it has been awhile. It used to be a quiet and peaceful place. Good Morning from a warm and breezy day at the beach Our weather is great today. Actually we only be in low 90s. Cant wait to see my power bill this month! They announced yesterday that Celebrity will be bringing the Equinox here in 2024. It will a very busy port. They will be building another terminal. Now if HAL would come??? Carnival, Disney, MSC, Royal Carribean, Norwegian and Princess also will all have ships home ported here in 2024. The only day without ships is Wednesday. Thank you to @dfishand @StLouisCruisers for the pictures of their trip. We are booked on the VOV in 2024 so it is nice to see the ports. @Heartgrove Lily is just adorable. The pictures were taken from the train. It does stop at a few locations for a few minutes but it is not a HOHO. The locals all wave as you go by. It really was great fun, even in the rain!
