Good Morning from a very windy day at the beach At least it is not raining. Our weather yesterday never stopped. High winds and heavy rain all day. The golf course is closed for 2 days due to flooding. Thank you all for the birthday wishes for DH yesterday. He was very appreciative. We did not go to the restaurant as planned. But he did enjoy his Birthday pie. I have not had Mac and cheese since college. It was the only thing the cook didnt ruin. I swore I would never eat it again once I graduated and I havent! However my family likes it. We were in Brisbane ln November of 2022. I took the ships tour to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Big mistake. The bus we were on was the last one and the driver took us all around Brisbane and a lookout point. ( which was very nice but it is a city) I thought I had gotten on the wrong tour. By the time we got to Lone Pine, we had very little time. Missed all the shows and were not able to hold a Koala. We had a full bus of angry people. Next time I will a taxi. I am all for Seniors, of whuch I am one although I hate to admit it. Frugal simple fun is best. @JazzyV Quick correction to upcoming cruises. Unfortunately we had to cancel the Grand S.America a few months ago when I had surgery. Really wish we were going but.... Today is DH`s birthday. We had planned on going over to the Village for lunch at a German restaurant that he likes. The weather may keep us home. Getting DD in and out of the car is a slow process and we would all be soaked! I am making him an apple pie. Hopefully it will clear. There are so many that need our prayers right now. @Cruising-along I was looking at the thread for the 94 day Australia. I noticed that you were concerned about a rental car in Hilo. We were there in Oct.22 and there is a shuttle for Budget. The other agencies did not have one. May have changed since then. The van was sitting waiting when we exited the terminal. Had our name on their list. Also returned us to the port after turning in the car. Very easy. Other people tried to get on the shuttle but they would only take Budget customers.

Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach Weatherman says rain but said the same thing yesterday and nothing I went to Freeport on my first cruise back in 1974. It was a 5 day out of Miami. Stayed overnite in Nassau and overnite in Freeport. Was with my college girlfriends and had a great time. Things certainly have changed! DH speaks 5 languages. I only know a few swears in Gaelic from my Irish grandmother. @StLouisCruisers Safe travels home. @Quartzsite Cruiser Hope you receive good reports from DH tests. @rafinmd Very excited for you with your uocoming adventure. We were in Exmouth in the fall of 2022 on HAL. You tender to a marina type area. There was 1 shuttle that held 30 people to take passengers into town. There was a very long line in the hot sun waiting for the shuttle. Many people turned around and went back to the ship. We along with a few others decided to walk. Not my best idea. We stopped at a small aquarium and the shuttle was there. We jumped on and went back to the ship. A few friends went to the reef snorkeling. Some groups did Ok. We all decide that this port is not ready for cruise ships. We loved Broome. It is to bad that you will miss it, but that happens with cruising.

Good Morning from a very cloudy day at the beach Havent posted in a few days but have read the posts. It has been busy here with "just life". All is well. We were in Dundedin jus before Christmas last year. It was cold and raining. However we bundled up and off we went. Great town. We took the ships shuttle into town and just explored on our own. Many excursions were cancelled due to the weather. Wonderful welcoming people. I bought a nice pair of gloves for myself and DD. Havent needed them since. I needed a few supplies for DD and a veery nice shopkeeper called a new store which was not open yet and they let me in ! Will post pictures after water aerobics. Charlene

Good Morning from a sunny and warm day at the beach Had a crazy night of thunderstorms and a very loud churning ocean. Today wull not be a good day for ocean swimming. Today the Brightline Train from Orlando to Miami finally started. Unfortunately it does not stop anywhere in Brevard County ( Port Canaveral). Foolish mistake in my opinion. Would have been very helpful for people flying into Orlando to cruise from here. Oh well. I was hoping it would be an easy way to get to Ft Lauderdale but guess not. We will continue to drive. Really no big deal from here. No exciting plans for the next few days. Prayers for everyone on the prayer list and all our Dailylites. Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene

Hoping to be back before the rains come in. Played golf yesterday. They are doing over the Country Club. I dont know who the decorator is, but it looks horrible. Very disappointing. I spoke to the manager and he told me to wait and see once all the new furniture is in. He said it will all "blend". LOL Be safe and enjoy today Charlene

Good Afternoon from a warm but cloudy day at the beach Played golf this AM and it was HOT. I was soaked. I only played 9 holes but it was fun. Planning on playing again on Tuesday. We were in Picton on Christmas Eve 2022. Nice little town. We took the ships shuttle to town and then we just walked around. We enjoyed it.
