Good Morning from a very cloudy but warm day at the beach Suppose to have some big thunderstorms moving in. Always need the rain especially at this time of year. Julia @JAM37 I know what you mean about real estate prices. They are outrageous right now. I really feel bad for the " normal" person who wants to buy. Never biked to work. We had to " dress" so would not have looked very good when I got there. The Boat parade is scheduled for this afternoon but with the weather may be doubtful. The races are on Sunday. I dont particularly care for it. It is loud with a strong smell of gas. Thousands do enjoy it. just not me. I booked a few excursions yesterday for our fall trip. I have never done a trip of this length so it is a bit overwhelming but exciting. Really looking forward to it. Stay safe and enjoy today

Roy. There have ben many many changes to Port Canaveral over the last few years. Back in early 90`s we all laughed at the idea of the port becoming a " major cruise terminal" . The construction has been unbelievable with several new terminals for Disney, RCL and Carnival. It is a totally different place from even a few years ago. Its one drawback of course was the distance from the airport. But it seems that several new transportation companies are filling that gap. THere is every hotel brand imaginable as you come over the bridge . I do think Brevard County " missed the boat" with the train. So the train will now go from the airport to Miami with no planned stops in Brevard. Not a good thing. There are ships there almost every day . HAL only stops in a repositioning in the fall. So even though the ships sail by my house, I must go elsewhere to join my CruiseLine of choice.

Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach Will be seeing many relatives at my nephews wedding next week, does that count? I enjoy some museums. Dirty dishes? The quote is a good one. Have nor=t been to todays port. Rocket launch this AM, another tomorrow. Boat races this weekend. Busy time around here. The races bring in huge crowds. So I will stock up ahead of time and stay home. Wont even be able to get out of my driveway. It will be over Sunday nite and then things quiet down again. My plan is to explore more excursion options for our fall cruise. Trying to decide between a few. DH and I usually have to split up because DD cant go on everything. So he decides what he really wants to see and then we decide. Sometimes, we can arrange accessible transport but not always. I am just grateful we can go at all! Off to water aerobics this AM, then golf this afternoon. Publix at my way home. Relax tonight! LOL Stay safe and enjoy today

Good Morning from a sunny and warm day at the beach Dinosaurs were a favorite of DS when he was young. He loved anything and everything with dinosaurs. We have a very popular " Dinosaur Store" in Cocoa Beach. Watching your Blood Pressure is very important. I always keep a random record for DH and myself. We bring it to our appointments and gives a better idea than just the one at the office. Luckily so far, we are both doing ok. We went for a beach walk last nite and the tide was coming in. DH fell into a hole and then was hit by a wave. He was not hurt, just soaked. I wish people would fill in the sandcastles when they leave, but.... Going out to dinner tonite with friends. 2 of them are heading back north for the summer. I will miss them, as she is also one of my golf partners. They will return in December. Good Morning from a warm but cloudy day at the beach I think I am probably the only person in the world that does not care for chocolate chip cookies. I like Roy @rafinmd prefer oatmeal raisin. I do enjoy sliders. Police Officers have a special place in my heart. Ii is so disheartening to see what they go through on a daily basis. They deserve better. Have not been to todays port. @Rowsby Have a wonderful relaxing trip. Sounds like a good decision. The Queen Elizabeth was in Port Canaveral a few days ago. I was so surprised when I drove by the port. Looks like my trip to Australia/New Zealand is going to happen. My flights, hotel and some excursions are booked. It will be great. Good Afternoon from a sunny and warm day at the beach Have not posted in the last several days but I have been following the thread. Played golf this AM with DS. We were first off and it was beautiful. Now home and trying to catch up. Not sure I agree with todays quote. I enjoy the classics and am currently in the process of re-reading " Pride and Prejudice". I love that book. Thanks Debbie @dfish for the recipes. We all enjoy fajitas here. @summer slope A very Happy Anniversary . May you have many more. Finally got the gift card fiasco straightened out and my credit card restored. Not sure why that was such a problem! But it is done! Stay safe and enjoy today

At this point, I really dont know what to do. I have called multiple times, emailed twice without any response. In the meantime, my credit card is a mess. Not sure about the quote and never been to todays port. @kazu and @cat shepard My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. As you try to return to the new normal, please know that we are here to listen and support you. I have been dealing with the HAL gift card fiasco for the last few days. Wont bore you all with the details, it is all on another thread. I have spent more time and energy and just cant get anyone to help. All the Customer Service people are very pleasant but useless. All have said it will be "escalated". Anyway enough on that. Water aerobics this AM. Stay safe and enjoy today.

That also happened to me on the first transaction on Monday. Then all went well. Today, they emailed me and I called them. They assured me all was ok. But then the cards started coming. It was 10 extra cards now it is 14. I have called and begged them to stop sending them. The most recent update is it is a "glitch" in their system. In the meantime my card remains frozen and there 14 $2000 gift cards sitting in pending!

I bought 10,000 in gift cards on Monday. No problem. Today attempted to buy 10,000 more. It has been a nightmare. I have been on the phone with them and my credit card company since 9AM. The first 2 transactions went thru, no problem. Then Capital One put a hold on it for a fraud alert. Called Capital One and after being lectured on the dangers of credit cards and scams they approved the transaction. I then went ahead and purchased 2 more for a total of 10,000. THen I received an email cancelling the whole thing. I called HAL back and it has been " escalated" and I will receive an answer in 24 hours. In the meantime, 5 more 2000. transactions have appeared on my credit card. So right now my card is frozen. No one can answer me what happened . Capital One company blaming HAL. HAL stating to report it to Capital One.
