  1. Great idea…will definitely do this on next cruise.
  2. And I agree with you. The Crown should be pulled. We were on the June 4th sailing and the disappointment lingers, however, we booked another cruise while on board and appreciative the FCC.
  3. June 1st on the Crown…asked about upgrade. Went from inside to midship balcony for $30 each per day. Used the shipboard credit given…was satisfied with the upgrade.
  4. We were seated private. Funny thing was, there was a very long line to get in at opening. Never experienced that before, but I think we had a lot of first timers who wanted to experience it. It was very good..as always. Love the scones!
  5. And June 4th, didn’t get to Juneau till after 5, no Icy Point and after 7 in Victoria..no excursions.
  6. We are on the CB with you in October..and just got off the doomed Crown. Do you think the internet issues will be on the CB also? Or are there other issues? We have friends boarding the CB today in Florida..he’s an IT pro…curious his take.
  7. I wish I could say something to make you feel better. I understand entirely, as I was in your shoes 2 weeks ago. All I can say is I signed a Cruise contract for a ship that was sea worthy..not one with multiple KNOWN issues. That’s the rub in all this. Princess has not fulfilled their end of the contract. Ah well, hope you can find some good in all this.
  8. Agree with everything you stated. Myself and my son texted positive on Sunday. This ship should not be sailing and yet, Princess continues to take peoples money knowing they cannot deliver.
  9. Just got off the Crown..CANCEL….what a disaster…at one point we weren’t moving at all. Missed and late arrivals in port…total waste of money on a dream vacation..more like a nightmare.
  10. If you can…switch to Discovery. Just got off the Crown. It is a sick ship and shouldn’t be sailing. Late to Ports..excursions cancelled. Sorry to say…but you should be aware. There are other threads with the details.
  11. We get on next week…and am hopeful you share some good things going on. Sorry to hear about your lost excursion. At this point we have nothing booked…can’t deal with anymore disappointments. Will see what’s available last minute. After 17 months of planning it’s the best way..sheesh. Enjoy your cruise and thanks so much for posting.
  12. Nope..no lift and shift…I was willing to pay more..within reason. But all we got was the equivalent of “thoughts and prayers”…Princess says there’s nothing they can do.
  13. I tried to switch to the Discovery cruise the next day. Princess said sure…you have to pay a cancellation fee and give up the airline tickets that were booked and pay a cancellation fee for the airlines. There are cabins available for June 5th but there was no way Princess would just move us over. All said and done we would be paying well over $1000 to change, and lose her seats on plane. The whole situation just sucks and the Princess response is awful. I am not looking forward to this cruise at all…and worry more disappointments could be possible.
  14. First thing tomorrow I am contacting a Maritime Attorney here in Florida…this is total BS.
  15. A nddd…the Princess website is still showing sailings with the updated itinerary. If in fact they know of further cancellations and are waiting until the day before or worse..when all ready on board, I believe we are being taken..big time.
  16. So I’m on the June 4th trip. I think it’s outrageous that Princess will wait until the day before to notify me of a change they are well aware will happen. Has anyone mentioned a class action suit. I am well aware of the sailing contract..however, this is different. Princess has a ship they know is in trouble but continue to sail. Thoughts?
