  1. They are loaded here in Australia but no prices as yet.

I am looking at booking 4th Feb '18 14 day Caribbean cruise on Regal then back for 1 day and board for Panama canal transit through to San Francisco for 15 days.

I do hope I get the cabin on the Panama canal transit I want.

  3. How soon do the Caribbean cruises sell out.

I am looking at 2018 on the 9th January?

I have restudied the schedule and now am looking at Caribbean on 8th Feb 2018 and then Panama canal on 19th Feb 2018.

My question is how soon would these book out? Just wondering how soon I would need to book them. I would have a 1 day turn around inbetween cruises so the timing would be great for me.

  4. I am on this cruise. I have not met any one who is affected. I have been told by a Butler I know in the Grills and also by a ships officer the illness is not Noro virus. There is no vomiting involved. They told me it was brought onboard in Cape Town and they think many people got the bug after been on overnight tours. We have avoided many public rooms and stayed away from the buffet. Not that use it much but as we eat in the MDR. The Captain gives daily updates a d calls it gastro intestinal illness. It has really altered the good feel factor on the sdhip as one can imagine.

    Hi Maggie,

Glad you and JT are ok and it has not affected you.

See you in 1 weeks time!

  5. I have asked this question in the past but wanted to get an updated list. I love reading cruise blogs and especially love the Yellow Fish blog. I read every entry and am glad to see it has started again. But are there any other blogs, especially World Cruise blogs? I have searched and can't seem to find any other than one on the Amsterdam by Jeff Farschman. Does anyone know of any other ongoing blogs right now? Thanks.

    Hi,

If you go to the Cunard link there are usually a few blogs about their world cruises.

  6. HI,

My cruise will be docking at the grain terminal in February for the day and I was wondering if it is possible to be picked up there. I am planning on spending the day with family and they will pick me up there. If not I could possibly get the transfer into the city and meet them there but would prefer to be picked up at the dock.

We are home again after a day in transit and an early flight we made it home by early evening on Sunday. Good sunny weather here today so got all the laundry done and dried in the sun but had to use the dryer for two wash loads as it was getting dark. JT has now done all the ironing and it is now time to go to the Commodore Club. We wish :) See you next time.xx

And you will be packing again very soon..Maybe don't put the suitcases away.

Looking forward to catching up next year!

  9. Hi Chez, just wonderring if you or anyone else on the QE wc have received your excursion book or docs yet? We are on the QV wc and have no docs other than that online. Cuanrd have told our travel agent that they were posted out on 11 November which sounds rather bizarre they have not den received yet....

    thanks...

    HI Roscoe,

I have not received any excursion book or docs yet. I did speak to my TA last week as some of the information was incorrect on my e-ticket and she did not mention any thing.

Mind you this will be my 2nd cruise on QE and I have never had a excursion book or official docs so not holding my breath.

  10. We must be on the same cruise then? We join in Hong Kong.

    Neat.

Have you been able to access the VP? :)

If you are on a leg of the world cruise your etickets are available now as it is 5-7 weeks before the start of the world cruise.

I am on a leg of the world cruise on QE and it is about 11 weeks before I join and my tickets are ready now.

  11. True, as I have seen on Sun Princess and Dawn Princess. There is no consistency in enforcement of the Princess byo policy and that is the problem.

If you want to take on any booze, carte blanche and with the full approval of the cruise line, try P&O UK, I was recently on Aurora/Oriana and no problems bringing on scotch and vino for medicinal purposes in the cabin. The Poms would riot if P&O UK stopped that concession. But we still bought our pre dinner cocktail in the lounge and our bottle of fine wine with dinner in the MDR. Lubbly Jubbly. Our wine steward loved our table of 8, 4 bottles of vino per night.

Cunard is also the same. There is really no limit!

  12. Cunard charges your card immediately if you book shore tours in advance.

thankyou so much for the quick reply.

I normally do my own thing in ports but my upcoming cruise has a lot of ports in Asia so thought it might be best to do the ship tours.
