  1. I only watched it because it was between Survivor and The Amazing Race. Silly show.
  2. Between my husband and myself we have 8 vouchers to use each day. He has to be careful with alcohol because of meds so he will probably have 2 drinks and use the others for cans of soft drinks that we will take back to our cabin. I love the new program and being able to use the vouchers any time of the day - not just in the evening.
  3. We are sailing on the 15th - just to clarify - you were allowed to stay in your cabin and weren't moved to another one? My husband is disabled and dependent on me for assistance, so if only one of us would test positive we would have to stay together and I would like to think we could stay in our OV balcony.
  4. I'm on the 10/15 sailing - our first cruise since 2/20 when we just missed the Covid craziness.
  5. We saw it 4 years ago on Allure and will definitely go again when we sail on 10/15. It's high energy fun.
  6. I guess I just want to be prepared in case someone does ask. I don't take anything for granted anymore. LOL
  7. My husband and I are both getting our 3rd booster on Tuesday - sailing on 10/15. We plan to take our physical card with us but as a backup is a picture of the cards saved on my phone acceptable?
  8. Ok - I'm confused. Our upcoming Allure cruise in October will be our first since Covid and I want to make sure I don't waste time, so.... What is the process for Muster when we board? My husband is disabled and uses a transport chair, if that matters. Our check in time is 11:30 am. The what do we do for show reservations? There used to be a desk for people who didn't book on-line - does the no longer exist? Thanks for helping an experienced cruiser who sort of feels like a newbie - LOL.
  9. It was in the low 90's here yesterday, today it's 71 and tomorrow it will be even cooler.
  10. Between those two itineraries, I would do Greece simply because as someone else mentioned, the North Cape is beautiful and I wouldn't want to do Norway without going there.
  11. Yep - realize that, but it's better than no stool, so we will figure out how to make it work.
  12. We pay cash for our cars and several times I've tied doing that, but the dealerships have always told us that they will only allow 5K to be put on a card. Too bad - I would also love the points.
  13. That's interesting and I have to say that is the very first time I recall ever hearing about that happening.
  14. Can't you just get a season pass for Cedar Point? I buy a gold pass for Kings Island each year for $110 with an upgrade to platinum for an extra charge that includes CP .
  15. LOL - I live 20 minutes from Kings Island and get season passes each year - $110 pp unlimited visits that includes parking and admission to Halloween Haunt, Winterfest, and a great waterpark with multiple waterslides, lazy river, and a wave pool. I realize not everyone is as fortunate to live close to a great park as I do, but those prices for Royal are ridiculous.
  16. You will be fine. November is still a couple of months away and people change cabins/upgrade all of the time. Sold out just means they aren't selling any more balconies - relax, you will get what you booked or better. I just received my cabin assignment for our mid-October Allure cruise and I couldn't be happier - the first cabin on the bump, where the balconies start getting larger.
  17. Our upcoming cruise in October was booked long ago and at that time my husband didn't have any problems standing in the shower, but since then he really needs a stool to sit on. I have a small stool with legs that screw off, so I could pack it but it would be easier if Royal would provide one. Has anyone else had luck getting a shower stool w/o being in an accessible cabin? Edit - LOL - I just did what I should have in the first place and called the special needs department. The answer is yes, they will have a stool in our cabin upon arrival.
  18. There are some of us, who simply don't care about Covid spacing anymore and are glad life is back to normal. Yes, Covid is still out there - just like quite a few other illnesses that nobody cares about either.
  19. I guess I eat at often enough at places like Capital Grille, Morton's. etc., that I don't need to pay extra on a cruise for a steakhouse dinner that's nowhere near as good.
  20. Bad memory - LOL. It was the first deck with balconies.
  21. We had a CP balcony on deck 9 right above the Rising Tide bar. We thought it was very quiet, not hot, and we enjoyed the evening music from our balcony. The people across from us didn't bother us at all. If my goal was to save money and the price was right, I wouldn't hesitate to book one again.
  22. I'm taking my first cruise in October since Feb, 2020 - 8 nights on Allure and I plan on packing as light as possible. I have two identical jersey knit dresses except one is navy and one is black - those along with one other outfit will be all I take to wear to dinner. It's a Caribbean cruise, so that will require more casual daytime clothes, but I still don't plan on dragging my entire closet along with me. Nobody cares or pays attention to clothing anymore and even with my limited wardrobe, I will be better dressed than probably 50% of people in the MDR.
  23. But then we used to chew on them - LOL.
