  1. Thank you all for your comments and recommendations. I was also told by my TA that specialty restaurants were included, no extra charge. Is this so?
  2. Thank you. I can sort of read upside down. I didn't see any mention of eggs or omelets. Are they also available?
  3. We will be taking our first cruise on the Seascape YC in a few weeks. I would appreciate it if you could answer a few questions about dining in the Yacht Club. - Are there shared tables for people who may want to dine with others that they are not traveling with and as a way to meet new people? - Is there a buffet available in the YC for lunch? -Are you able to eat in specialty restaurants outside of the YC without an extra charge; if so which restaurants are they? - Does the butler make reservations for you to dine at these restaurants? - Are in cabin menus available for breakfast and do they include hot food like omelets and bacon? Thank you in advance.
  4. I have just completed my cruise on the Navigator and enjoyed every minute of it. We dined in all of the restaurants, and food was consistently good in all of them. We spoke in advance with the Maitre’D at Setta Mari and he reserved a table for 6 that evening for dinner. We were accommodated quickly in Compass Rose every evening. We dined in Prime 7 once and although we enjoyed it, we were just as happy dining in CR. Looking forward to sailing on the Navigator again.
  5. I am also on the Navigator now. After cruising on the Explorer and the Splendor this past year, I am also enjoying the Navigator. It is not as “glitzy” as the other two ships, but still nicely decorated and comfortable. The service has been wonderful, much more attentive than on the Splendor. Pool deck stewards are forever bringing cold drinks around, I had a difficult time getting one’s attention on the Splendor. After day one, I have not had any problems obtaining a lounger on the pool deck, actually, many have been available at all times. I have dined in Compass Rose and Prime 7, and will dine in Setta Mari tonight. The food in CR was very good and my lobster in Prime 7 was delicious. Also, I found the service much better in the Navigator dining rooms than on either the Explorer or the Splendor. I miss Chartreuse and especially Pacific Rim, but other than that, I am really enjoying the Navigator.
  6. I was able to get a balcony cabin on deck 6 forward, so I am happy about that. Thank you all for your information.
  7. Has anyone stayed in cabin 602 on the Navigator. It is a window suite, no balcony. There are cabins above it but I see only empty space beneath it on deck 5. It is also a connecting suite. Any noise issues below this cabin?
  8. Are there any special provisions made for single cruisers aboard Windstar motor yachts, such as: single get togethers, shared tables with other singles, etc.? I know that other smaller ships do have these amenities.
  9. On our last cruise on the Splendor we saw that there was a dedicated singles dining table hosted by staff every night. We saw them dining in all of the specialty restaurants as well as Compass Rose. Is this the norm on all Regent ships? It looked like they were all having a great time.
  10. Sorry that I am taking this topic from insurance coverage back to the original question. I have tried the number offered, but that is only for personal consultants, which I do not have. When I called, they would not help at all. Again, I tried to call earlier, but once again, no luck. After 2 hours on hold, I gave up again. Any other ideas? I have never had this problem with HAL before. We are close to being 5 Star Mariner’s, and this is really annoying.
  11. After a week of trying to phone HAL Guest Services, remaining on the phone for over an hour on each occasion, I am quite frustrated. The phone number I was given is 800-599-8256; I have had no luck in reaching anyone; just canned music over and over again. Does anyone have any other phone number that might be more helpful? This is something that requires a "human" to handle, an email will not be helpful. Thank you.
  12. I ordered the same seafood sampler and also a lobster. It was a disappointment. The sampler did have a tiny king crab leg but the lobster was tiny and dried out, so tasteless that I hardly touched it. I hope that this improves as it was so good in Feb.
  13. We also got off Splendor on the 20th and King Crab was not on the menu at Prime 7. It had been on the menu this past Feb., but not on this cruise. How were you able to order it.?
  14. We will be sailing on Dec. 13. Any bridge games scheduled on the daily program?
  15. We will be sailing in about 2 months. We booked with a TA. Reading CC I see that upgrades are offered through bidding. Does NCL contact you once you are paid in full for your cruise? Do you then offer a bid to upgrade from Club Balcony to the Haven? Does NCL tell you what the minimum bid should be? I have never done this before. Thanks for any advice.
  16. We will be on the Bliss in two months. We are wondering about upgrading from a balcony cabin to the Haven. Are upgrades offered to your TA or is there a phone number to call, if and when an upgrade becomes available? What has been your experience?
  17. I checked the spread sheet for the Splendor. Hardly anything was filled in. Again I would like to know what is considered the vibration zone on Deck 8 since our cabin is mid ship Deck 8.
  18. We will be on Splendor next month. What cabin are you in on deck 8, and what cabins are in the vibration zone? Thank you.
  19. They are involved with building infrastructure all over the world. We saw this in Namibia a few years ago. They did not hire local workers, but brought a Chinese work force with them.
  20. Thank you for your helpful replies. An engineer was sent to our cabin this AM and when I described what I heard and where in the cabin I heard it, he immediately pinned it down to the pool pumps above our cabin. He said that he would have it corrected so that we will not be bothered with it again at night.
  21. We are in an aft Neptune Suite on deck 7 with a large and beautiful wrap around Verandah. Our only problem is an intermitent noise that sounds like something is slamming our cabin wall on the outside wall where our headboard is located. This happens only occasionally, but it is loud enough to wake us up when it happens at night. Does anyone know what the cause might be? Has anyone else had this problem. We mentioned it to the Concierge but he asked us to keep a log when we hear the noise and try to locate exactly where it is coming from. Thank you.
  22. Thank you, once again. I feel that it is a good thing that we will be tested before we board this ship. I can only hope that we will all stay well for the duration of this journey. We also intend to continue masking when out of our cabin.
  23. Thank you. I entered the required information, and unfortunately, we still need to be tested prior to boarding. This makes no sense at all; no testing if boarding in Vancouver on Oct. 1, but testing required if boarding in San Diego on Oct. 3.
