I love salt, so I guess it makes sense I would like them!

On our Splendor cruise this past January I had the Turkey burger twice and thought it was very good both times. The sweet potato fries were also good.

Glad I asked! Back to the drawing board. Thanks all!

We are looking at flights for a September cruise flying from NY to Barcelona. Some flights connect through Amsterdam and some through Paris. The layover times range from 2 hours to 4 hours. I’m wondering if anyone can share experiences connecting through these airports.

Very beautiful. So glad you got to enjoy it!

Thanks, Mudhen!

We will be on a Mariner transatlantic cruise in September and would like to attend the wine lunch that you pay for. Is it possible to sign up for the wine lunch on embankment day other than directly with a sommelier (eg reception)? As always appreciate advice from the more experienced Regent cruisers!

On our recent Splendor cruise my husband on occasion liked to snatch the napkin from the table and put it on his own lap right before the hostess or waiter did it. That would get a chuckle from the staff.
One night I wore a black dress to dinner and the hostess grabbed a black napkin from behind the hostess stand and placed that on my lap at the table. I thought that was a nice touch.-

If you choose a cruise, you can consider extending your trip by spending a few nights in the embankment city and the disembarkment city where there is generally a lot to experience.

The doors in the pool deck are not automatic but I witnessed several times staff and passengers opening and holding doors for others whether they had mobility issues or not.
We are recently off a Caribbean cruise on Splendor and we were eating lunch at the pool grill on embankment day at a table right next to the door to La Veranda. A flurry of people were going in and out of the door so my husband reached over from his seat and grabbed the door handle to hold it open until the rush stopped 😊. This is the sort of people you will meet on Regent.-

DaveFR thank you so much! Chase Sapphire Preferred does carry the travel insurance! I won’t need to change cards 😊. Hubby has the Amex Platinum card also.

Does anyone know if Chase Sapphire Preferred provides the same travel insurance benefit that Chase Sapphire Reserve provides?

Terrific. Thank you bitob!

Is a penthouse able to book excursions and dinner reservations earlier than a concierge suite? If yes, does this still apply when taking advantage of the 2 category upgrade ( pay for concierge to receive a penthouse)? As always, appreciate the valuable input from experienced Regent passengers!

Does anyone know if it is possible to request certain laundry items hang to dry, or must everything go through the dryer?

I would add interesting and engaging passengers. We have only done two Regent cruises back in 2010 and 2012 but still talk about some of the great people we met.
We are very excited to have 2 Regent cruises booked for 2023.-

From what I've heard about the Crew Welfare Fund, it seems to me the Regent ought to be the one funding that...
Is the crew welfare fund solely funded by passenger contributions? I would have thought it was funded by Regent and enhanced by passenger contributions. An assumption on my part and certainly could be wrong.

But we have four cruises booked, and that tells you that we are very happy with what Regent has to offer. We will be on the Navigator, Miami to Montreal next May. Then in October we will be on the Voyager, Athens to Rome. Then in April 2024 we will do the Grandeur, New York to Barcelona. And finally, the Explorer, Hong Kong to Bali in November, 2024.
Besides the 2 Regent cruises we have booked for 2023 I now have 4 more cruises to look forward to through your wonderful reports!

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences. Took Pcardad’s advice and looked into American non-stop. Calling Regent tomorrow!
