  1. We just got off the Panorama Saturday.  Masks are required in the terminal during embark/debark. All shops and shows on board as well and public areas as well.  Forget yours in the room, staff will hand you one.  We saw this several mornings on Lido and they will remind you if you get up from your table to go get seconds that you need to have your mask on.  Signs in the elevator remining you to Mask Up.  Did not find it uncomfortable as I really wanted to take this cruise, so I willing to follow any guidelines that they had in place.

I have been looking at pictures and videos from the Mardis Gras and it looks breathtaking! My next cruise, though is on Panorama out of Long Beach.

I decided rather than drooling over a ship I will easily never go on that I would look at pictures and videos from the Panorama.

My first cruise ever was on the Fantasy. I fell in love with the ship and with cruising as well. My next cruise was on the new Carnival Elation. I was incredulous at it's beauty [and yeah, I always liked the "Farcus touch." After that, I figured that I would never love a ship as much as the Elation so the next cruise was also on the Elation [same itinerary]

After studying pictures from the Conquest I reluctantly booked our next cruise on it out of Galveston. Somehow, I loved it even more than the Elation, so our next cruise was on the Conquest again.

I probably watched the video a hundred times before booking the Magic, and lo and behold, within an hour of stepping onboard she was my favorite ship.

After 3 times [notice a pattern here?] we found and  fell in love with the "Breeze." OMG! I did slightly miss the flashiness of the other ships, but once again I fell in love. so we followed it from Florida to Galveston back to Florida again for a total of 7 cruises.

Now, I look at all the videos from youtube about the Panorama, and it looks horrible compared to any of the others. The main dining room is one level and looks  plain. The floors look boring, the LED lights look cheap and in no way look like they can compete with the atriums on the other ships. Except for the Havana area [and we are not booked there] everything looks blah and dull.

The other good thing that I am aware of is that, like the Breeze, the Panorama has Deluxe oceanviews. This is a big deal to me as we live in a village with extremely stringent water rationing, so we don't have a tub at home and I spend several hours a day in my Deluxe oceanview bathtub [short, but very deep] in a Deluxe Oceanview cabin.

So, anyway, I am hoping that someone will be able to share some of the "Wow Factors" on the Panorama so that I can, hopefully, be excited for my next favorite ship. Thanks.

When are you booked?  We sail on her on the 28th of August.  I will try to share pictures.  Anything in particular you want to see?

After having a grand total of 8 cruises cancelled due to Covid, we ended up by chance booked on the first cruise out of California. Panorama departing 8/21/21 to the Mexican Riviera. I'm starting this thread now, to document the protocols that end up being put in place for our cruise, and how it progresses.

Feel free to follow along, and ask any questions you would like to have answered.

    Here's the situation so far:

This cruise was originally booked for April 11, 2020 as a John Heald Blogger's cruise. DH and I (early 60s) had been on a mission to get ourselves to Diamond status on that trip. We ended up taking 6 weekend cruises in the last 4 months of 2019, 3 more the first 2 months of 2020, and then our last 3 day in March got cancelled, and that started the chain reaction. When it all closed down, we were 10 days away from Diamond. Oh well, we'll get there soon.

Right now, we're cruising alone on Panorama on 8/21. It was the earliest we could rebook after our July 17th booking got cancelled. Fortunately for us, it ended up being the first cruise (fingers crossed that we actually sail).

After reading the tea leaves, we figured vaccinations would be required in order to sail, so we ended up getting our 2nd shots earlier this month. We've been boosing our immune system all through covid, so didn't have any real side-effects from the vaccinations, and were very thankful for that. I actually think we caught it very early, before they knew what it was, but that's another story.

Thanks for sharing all of this, we are due to board on August 28th when you disembark.  We were originally scheduled to sail Panorama March 2021 but we know what Miss Quaratina Covid thought of that.

😲 Seriously??  I expect we will do a short cruise at some point and have never been to Catalina or Ensenada.

Love Catalina, we are taking the Ferry over for the day before we get on Panorama next month.  We also booked Panorama again on one of her 6 night cruises as it stops in Ensenada on that Itinerary.

I wasn’t really interested in cruising on the new, bigger ships, but John’s videos did what they were supposed to do and made me want to experience it.  Since I already have cruises booked for 2022 and 2023, I was looking at early 2024. Unfortunately, I wasn’t thrilled with Mardi Gras itineraries (just a personal thing), so I booked Celebration for a January b2b.  Sister ship, but I’m looking forward to seeing all it has to offer.  And from the looks of her, I’ll need those two weeks just to find everything, lol.

If i didn't already have 6 booked, but what's one more right?

Since the rules have changed a bit now it seems we'll be able to cruise again(on this high seas)....

I was just wondering who is ready to go & booked a cruise in the next 6 months???

I completed ours a couple weeks or so ago when they put it up temporarily.  It disappeared that same day.  I just checked and it's back but crossed out with a checkmark so apparently they accepted completion for those who did it when they didn't mean to make it available, I suppose.  Thanks for the heads-up.  We sail September 12.

Same thing for us, we sail Aug 28th, they put it up then took it down.  But we answered it as soon as we saw it.

Ok, thanks! That's what I remember doing also. But, it seems so long ago that I wasn't sure.  I wonder if it's the same on Panorama. I'm booked on that ship Jan. 2023 and have the the Havana Vista suite on deck 7. Such a long time away! Can't wait to get back on board!

We are on the Panorama next month in that area and I will let you know.

I have booked a cruise to replace my Ecstasy cruise Carnival cancelled Monday. Trying to get my cruise credits and what I have already paid applied. The Carnival resolutions is where I was getting transferred to. It's been 2 hours and I am still on hold, talked to nobody. How long is the wait? Any help is appreciated.

Sorry for the long wait.  This is the reason I use a travel agent.  They do the rebooking for you. I have not had to wait on hold at all for any of my 4 cruises that were cancelled. Just sent an email to the agent on what I wanted to rebooked and sit back and wait for the new confirmation.
