  1. We are 3 hours from Mobile, Alabama. We stopped and got gas. Long story short, there was diesel in the unleaded pump. We are at a pep boys and one of the mechanics volunteered to take my husband 30 minutes away to a car rental place. (Budget). We booked a hotel that had a park and cruise package. My problem is that I don't know how we are going to get the rental car from the hotel back to another budget. The closest one is at the airport. We can take it there but then we won't be able to get to the cruise terminal. I'm sorry I am not thinking straight. I checked Uber and it said $38 from the airport to the cruise terminal. Does this sound like the best way to do this? I am 8 hours from home [emoji22]

That seems to be a reasonable fare. I hope that it all works out for you.

  2. Ok so someone I know has a cruise booked early saver with a reduced deposit. On cruise manager it still has the ability to edit names. Can this be done to change a name on the cruise? Has anyone had success with this. I mm sure if we call they'll say no.

    Thank you,

I was not able to edit, it kept telling me name changes not allowed. I was trying to save a few steps do the booking and let my TA take it over. I had to call her, she had to call Carnival get them to let her take over the booking and then do the update.

  3. In our previous experiences ... some reps work from home and some are in a call center. It is luck of the draw who you get and where depending on what time of day. I have occasionally gotten a rep that didn't understand what we were asking or got the information wrong. I've simply hung up and called back.

I have often booked a cabin and then later looked for an upgrade. I always look for what I wish to upgrade to and then hold that cabin until I get the rep (or the TA we use sometimes) to go into booking and then release it, getting exactly what I'm asking for.

We have also moved boats/ports/dates and we have been charged $50 PP admin fee for the change. It's a policy and I don't think there is any way around it.

We also had to pay the 50 per person to change.

  4. This is the Carnivale. I sailed her on my first cruise December of 1978. I was just 21 years old. Where I started loving cruising.

What ship and when did you start your love of cruising.

  5. I noticed ours was MUCH longer than normal on the Elation in December. They walked us out to the boats, etc. They didn't do a roll call, though. I can understand if they feel they need to do roll call, but they should just scan the sign & sail cards in the way in to the muster location.

They did scan our cards on the Magic in December.
